Yeah! Like Jack of Fables, Fairest, Cinderella etc... Didn't you know about the spin-offs? There are more, it's best to just check the Fables comic wikipedia page, it lists all of the spin-offs for you XD

  • Read and decide for yourself :P

Some are good and some are not as good, but it's all an opinion...

  • Huh...For some reason I always imagined that you are older than me, Shubba.

I'm under 18 and I loved the shit out of this game

  • So Dave, how old are you? :P

  • I didn't care for Jack from The original comic so I'll probably not read Jack of Fables

  • Jack of Fables ties into the main comic though, in fact all of the spin-offs do!! (Except the Unwritten/Fables Crossover, that is a non-canon 'what-if' story for Fables)

Jack of Fables up to Volume 6 leads into Volume 13 of Fables, plus the new characters are interesting and funny in their own way XD

  • No, Rose did not get her own spin-off...

Look, I will list them ALL for you with a small description:

    • Jack of Fables - Jack Horner is the protagonist of this 50 issue series, it ties in with main canon seamlessly. The new characters are fun and interesting in their own unique ways, you really need to read this to understand what is going on in Volume 13 of Fables

    • Cinderella - There were 2 mini-series with Cindy as the protagonist; it's very James Bond... with a Fable twist. Both mini-series have ties to the main comic, but the ties aren't super important...

    • Fairest - A 33 issue series that told stories through the eyes of the Fable women. Volume 1 focuses on Briar Rose and Lumi during the comics; Volume 2 is a prequel to comic with Rapunzel; Volume 3 focuses on Prince Charming (this is when Fairest started going downhill in a way); Volume 4 focuses mainly on Cindy, but also Snow; Volume 5 focuses on Reynard sometimes, and the Farm Fables the other time. The last issue (33) is a standalone story with Goldilocks.

    • 1001 Nights of Snowfall - A prequel story that sheds light on the backgrounds of various Fables like Snow, Bigby, Flycatcher and a few others. I personally found this one to be quite 'hard' some of the stories are sad and others are depressing in their own way... But this is a definite read!

    • Werewolves of the Heartlands - A standalone story with minimal ties to main story (but the tie is there); it involves Bigby in a city full of Werewolves with foul intentions... You can figure out the rest.

    • Fairest: In All The Land - A story involving most, if not all, of the Fable women... I can't say much else or the plot will be spoiled.

    • Peter and Max - A novel that introduces us to some new characters, and explains why children are rarely born in the Fable world.

  • To be fair, people under 18 aren't even supposed to be playing the game are they?

  • Tell that to the whiny 12 year olds that play COD

  • If the age restrictions were more strictly enforced, sure, but they're not. Plus, it's mainly up to the parents to decide whether their kid(s) can handle the mature themes or not.

  • I'm 14. I really shouldn't be playing it and I do. I like it though, and I think I'm mature enough to handle it. xD In Australia it's rated 15+ anyway, and I'm close enough. :)

  • Age restrictions are mostly for over protective parents. It all depends on the maturity of the individual IMO

They're impatient and immature. Not trying to offend, by the way. Just most kids like the first person shooters, not an actual story-based type of game.

But every kid is different, they might like it.

Nice to see so many young kids are digging the 1980s vibe lol

  • I loved the 1980s New York City noir feel of the game, there just wasn't a whole lot of it in the last two episodes. I wish that hadn't been the case

  • why would any of the majority of under 17's like this anyway? Its a noir game I bet the majority dont know what noir is, on top of that its point and click.

So its an 18 so people who play games under that wont like it or play it and the kids who lay 18's play them for action

  • You shouldn't be so quick to generalize. A lot of people under 18 (myself included) loved the noir feeling of the game and of course I didn't care about the point and click aspect.

Yes but most people prefer Shoot this and shoot that games over games that are slower and completely based on story, sadly

  • I'm 16 and I freaking love this game. One of the best Telltale games ever.

  • I'm under 18 and I really enjoyed this game.

  • I am 15 years old and i have to admit that the most people at my age dont like the game. That must be because most of the people dont like to defer. They are stuck in one kind of game and dont want to play anything else. But i think that the game is awesome and has one of the best well written plots i've ever played!!

Is it by chance a title where online multiplayer dominates all? And whiny kids swear at you when you kill them once? XP

  • True, but mature players would appreciate this game for it's atmosphere and story, and not just how many 360 quick-scopes I can score in an online match...

I started playing this game when I turned 19 in April, and I fell in love with from the first few minutes of Ep.1. I have always had a broad spectrum when it comes to games, a shame that not everyone else does too...

  • I was fifteen when I believed it was a great game. Still do now that I'm seventeen.

  • sadly

I dont see whats sad about someone having a different preference, I dont think because we prefer story based games we're somehow the superior opinion. Personally I like games that have a good mixture, just shooting and just story are okay but are limited
