Add Faith In Humanity

For you guys and gals, what has been the nicest thing you saw or did latly that made you happier being a human being?

Comments

  • One time I gave a homeless man $10, I felt so good afterwards.

  • Nothing. Humans are the epitome of evil.

  • I give some money to homeless people and I try to be nice to everyone, but often times I just lie in bed realizing how useless it is since human beings are evil and that's it. You can adapt to the situation or not.

  • I once saw a woman give a homeless man a family size bar of chocolate it was around christmas time and the woman looked so pleased that she had done a good deed but the guy literally snarled at her and then threw the chocolate full force in the back of head as she walked away while screaming "I CANT FUCKING SMOKE THIS BITCH!" the guy you gave money to pprobably bought smack. alot beggers (in the uk anyway) aren't actually homeless they just pretend to be they are alnost allways on benifets, I know its hard to believe, but in some parts of london people can earn £50 000+ a year from begging alone.

  • I don't like talking about the good things I've done, makes it feel like bragging.

  • Most beggers where I live dont spend their money on drugs, and if he did good for him I didnt give him the money to help him (well, sorta) but mostly to help myself so ill be less selfish and a more caring/aware person.

Also dont judge all homeless people off of one guy who couldnt smoke a chocolate bar or peolpe who pretend to be homeless, ive met some really kind friendly homeless people.

  • A few months ago I saved a kitten nearly drowned in the sewers near my flat. It was ill for a couple of days and I didn't think it will survive the cold he had but with the help of a vet it survived and after a while it was adopted. I was very happy that the kitten was safe and with humans to take care of it.

  • She certainly is very beautiful, congratulations!

  • I don't give money directly to beggars as a matter of policy, but once I was taking a bunch of homemade chocolate chip oatmeal cookies to an organization meeting I was attending, and when a homeless guy asked me for loose change, I offered him one of the cookies instead. He gratefully accepted, and from then on, whenever he saw me, he called me the cookie guy. Despite my never having cookies or giving him anything else again.

I have begun to make sure none of my friends feel lonely in our friend circle, I've managed to do that for everyone but myself :3 but I still feel good for making people feel less lonely, even if it's only other people.

This was last year but, one kid in my class stuck up for an annoying kid after people were bullying him, despite him being a pickle thorn to everyone even the kid who stood up for him, I still thought it was pretty faithful seeing people stand up even for the people who bring them down.

  • Me and my wife were walking down by the docks near Myrtle Beach after having visited there just for a few hours. We were trying to find a store to get something to eat, when a man in a toboggan and a scraggly beard walked up and said hi. I did something really dickish, and looked away, pretending to not see him, my reasoning being that if I have him any money, he would likely just buy beer or drugs with it.

Me and my wife continued walking, and we skipped the store and got to the car. Myself realizing that I had earlier forgotten to go get a burger, proceeded back out as my wife started up the car. As I was walking along, I saw the same man again, and he walked up. "Sir, can I have a little bit of money for a burger or something?" He asked, and I stopped. He was talking to me. Of course he was. Why wouldn't he be talking to me? I spun around, looking at the man with great exasperation. I reached into my pocket, looking for the five dollar bill I had earlier, and ended up pulling it out. However, written on the bill was a 20, not a 5. I have him the dollar begrudgingly, and he immediately grinned with happiness. He walked off to get a burger with a word of thanks, and I never saw the man again.

One of the best feelings in the world.

  • Once I was in Baltimore with a friend, and there was a homeless looking guy under a ratty blanket, with nasty hair. My friend walked up and dropped a dollar bill in the bucket he had next to him, and the guy said thanks, took off the blanket and walked away. He was wearing a suit.

On that same trip there were deaf people handing out pamphlets asking for donations, and one of my friends walked behind one of them and screamed. The "deaf" guy jumped. It was amusing.

  • Most deaf hear feel noises, so many play music because they can feel the beat. This only works with loud noises (if you have ever been to a deaf party its louder than a concert) So when your friend screamed he may have actually have been deaf, because he could have still jumped for a logical reason. And the deaf group down by my school does fundraiser a lot and they said lots of people do that a lot :/

  • Today, I was waiting in line to try out a short demo for Narcosis on the Oculus Rift DK2 at the SXSW Gaming Expo in Austin, TX.
A Telltale employee (in PR\Dev) whose name I'm embarrassed to admit I do not recall got in line behind me and struck up a conversation with one of the Narcosis developers.
It sounded like he might or might not have been in a bit of a time crunch, so I offered to let him go ahead of me in line, since I was in no hurry and was a big fan of Telltale's earlier games (S&M, W&G, SBCGfAP).
He thanked me, asked me if I had Steam, and handed me a card with a redemption key for the Telltale Games Collection - Winter 2014 that includes every Telltale game currently available on Steam. I was blown away. Thanks, guy!

  • That was nice of him.
