Most Disturbing Scene? (Game, Movie or Show)

So in any form of fiction pretty much. I think mine has to be Pesci's death in Casino. I know the moral was that he deserved it but it was hard to watch and leaves me frozen no matter how many times I watch it

  • lol. Well, Pesci was psychotic in that movie, (Practically psychotic in any movie really) so it seemed right for him to get whacked. It's still shocking to see him actually get put down like a dog though considering his tough guy status.

Mine would have to be either the "Singing in the rape" house invasion scene from A Clockwork Orange.

    Clockwork

    OR

The big reveal at the end of Oldboy (2003). I can't help but feel bad for Oh-Daesu . :'(

    Oldboy

Both movies as a whole are really disturbing actually, but they are so god damn fucking great. Love both of 'em.

  • Also, I just love Joe Pesci. :) He's one my favorite actors of all time.

  • Mine would have to be Noah's death on the TWD show. I was pretty disturbed by that. Poor Noah :(

I'll name two ! One would be a scene in The Sopranos S03E06 , in which Ralph(played by the brilliant Joe Pantoliano) killed his mistress(who was pregnant with his child) in a really brutal matter .(Basically he got high on cocaine , had a fight with her and smashed her head repeatedly)

The second one would be Prince Oberyn's death in GoT . Doesn't need a explanation imo !

  • Final Destination 3, when those two girls get trapped in those tanning beds and burn to death. I don't think I'll ever go in a tanning bed after watching that :/

  • Yeah that creeped me out, seeing him just torn apart like that.

I have to say one of the most disturbing/ gruesome scenes has got to be the torture scene from the movie Seed. I would post the video, but it's that disturbing that I didn't want to risk getting banned or anything lol. If you want to see it just search on YouTube Seed mass murder. It should be the first video. Not for those with weak stomachs.

  • You're right about the irony. Things changed on a dime but seeing your little brother beat to death powerless to do anything, waiting or the same fate just.. damn and I was disturbed with A Clockwork Orange as a whole when I first saw it but McDowell's improv and acting was amazing in this scene

It's relatively gory, but it's more the context which is disturbing. Similar in theme to the clip at the end of Casino, but completely different background.

Btw, a lot of people don't know about the Spanish Civil War - basically the Spanish monarchy was overthrown and a republic was established. When the communists won the vote, there was a rebellion by fascists forces which were supported by Hitler. This was before WWII and France, Britian and America all remained neutral. Although there were volunteers from around the world who fought for the communists. One person in particular became very famous later on - Eric Blair AKA George Orwell. This movie takes place after the fascists win the war (and the fascist government remained until 1975), but there are a few communist partisans left here and there.

  • From my favorite movie The Thing. The scene where the dog/alien splits his head open into a bloody mess of monster mutant chunks and kills the other dogs. sigh I fell in love with that movie right there.

  • I got only one thing to say...

A Serbian Film. Search at your own risk.

  • it is the most brutal death i seen in that show and probably one of the mos brutal overall. i didnt get grossed out but when they were ripping him up one managed to pop his fucking eye with its finger and that shit just made me squirm.... i have something about eye gouging that freaks me tf out. i couldnt handle the TFTB eye taking out scene, i was screaming to cut his fucking head off instead of taking out his eye balls. still one of the funnies things i seen.

Mine would have to be Noah's death on the TWD show. I was pretty disturbed by that. Poor Noah

  • i fucking hate eye gouging.... but that was awesome lololol his head exploded lol... this is what makes me want to watch this show

I don't know if this is the most disturbing thing i've ever seen but it sure is very close, it starts around 2:42

    Tetsuo's Transformation - Akira

  • That was one of the few scenes in the show where I actually wanted to look away.

  • I couldn't find a video of it , but the part in the watership down movie where I don't remember which rabbit explain how some of them were stucked in their rabbit holes and tunnel, and they all tried to get out, stepping on each others deadn bodies and all..,It was really disturbing to me especially the way it was represented in the animation. This entire movie is kind of disturbing when you watch it as a kid (full of bleeding bunny fights) , but it's still very good.

Another scene I found really disturbing was when i was a kid and saw the transformation scene in pinochio for the first time , it made me feel really weird back then.

It's also funny to see that for pinnochio , Gustaf tenggren made some art that were kind of disturbing sometimes

I have to add that I was probably 4 or 5 years old when I first saw this movie. What were my parents thinking?

Edit: Sorry Mintery, just noticed you had already posted Watership down.

  • Was on youtube clicking through watchmen clips and the scene where rorschach pours fryer water on an inmate looks painful.

The knife fight scene from Saving Private Ryan. Something about it just kills me, to this day I still can't watch it.

    clip

Anyone who thinks war is "heroic" and "cool" after watching that movie is seriously fucked in the head.

edit well now its different! Akira was a great movie, but I'll admit that was pretty screwed up.

    That line always gets me.

  • I got one from 28 Days Later. The scene where Mark is brutally and without warning cut down by Selena always made me feel just a little bit uncomfortable. Sure, the eye gouging scene is more violent, but fuck that guy. Mark crying in agony as Selena supposedly missed twice to hit him in the right spot and then immediate quiet was... pretty fucked.
