  • Crud! If the writers are out of the loop then it doesn't look good for S2.

  • Unless we do it as an interactive audio.

    Season 2 script Confirmed.

Dave is actually referring to the fact that he works as a chief creative and writer at Reactive Studios now where they do interactive audio dramas - http://www.reactivestudios.net/ :)

Codename: Cygnus (the episodic spy drama that's the only series released by Reactive so far) is pretty fun. Since joining Reactive, Dave Grossman wrote the Christmas Special, which is free. It experiments a lot with the formula, by making it so you have to think to make it through (the game ends a lot (you don't actually die, but you fail... often), but you start over and then try again. There's a lot of different paths in this one because of it, with different routes to take (there's references there to Dave's past games hidden too, which is something that Dave's always done in his games, and I really appreciate that as I always find in-jokes a lot of fun).

They gave us nothing, that's something. Maybe a pinch of false hope too lol I really like this gif...

  • Thanks Jennifer. It doesn't look like I'll be able to listen at work, since it seems you have to talk to it and I work in an office, but it will be fun to try out at home lol.

You don't have to use the voice recognition, as you can use the onscreen prompts too. The Christmas special does require a lot of attention though, so it would probably be best to try those at home. The other episodes might be OK on break at a work setting, as they're a lot less demanding. The first episode is also free, so you can try that to see if you like it.

Even if you don't like the regular episodes though after playing episode 1, I still recommend trying out the Christmas special, as it's really vastly different than the rest of the episodes and is a lot more interactive than the other ones too. There's a good chance that you'll like that even if you don't like the others. Hopefully they'll go forward on a similar route for the next episode (which is actually more like a Telltale season, as it's broken up into separate episodic releases) and their future games.

Dave Grossman also revealed in an interview with Adventure Gamers that Reactive is working on an interactive audio drama of Sherlock Holmes. That will certainly be something to look forward to, especially if the improved commands that he was talking about come into fruition. :)

Taking a drink for every time season 2 of the Wolf is mentioned.

Come wake me when that happens. I'll be at the Trip Trap with Gren....cries softly

  • The Fandom will remember that*

  • I hope S2 won't happen. Only first half of TWAU s1 was decent. Second season would be as good as season 2 of TWD.

  • Well, it's a good thing you are just one opinion. I thought the game was more than decent all the way through. I'm still hoping for season two because there's so much more of the story left to tell.

  • How about VERY SOON :P

    That word - soon...

  • Dave Grossman left a while back, actually.

    Why is everyone leaving Telltale?

  • How did TWAU went financially? Did it made enough money, if it did I can't see why TTG is making crap like Minecraft and not TWAU.

  • TellTale haven't released the sales figures for it, it can only be assumed that it did well.

They haven't released any financial information about TWAU but it probably did fairly well. They where planning Minecraft for a while before they announced it and before episode 5 of TWAU was released so they probably didn't know exactly how successful it would be at the time.

It's also too early to say Minecraft will be "crap" at the moment as people said the same thing about TFTB and some also said it about TWAU and both games are good so Minecraft might also be a fun game to play.

  • I think the bashing on MineCraft is because TellTale are giving it a plot. MineCraft is open world with no dialogue, so it's something new and people think it won't work and stuff :/

  • Well not to get into Minecraft discussion again but I find micecraft pixelated cubes ugly and there is no story. TWAU had beautiful NY atmosphere both in comics and in game and had an intriguing storyline.

  • I agree with you, but TellTale will obviously improve the pixel graphics :P

I trust TellTale to make a good story...

On Redbubble.com you can. I have a teeshirt place here in my town that made SEVERAL Georgie & Gren shirts for me. I'll stand out in front of TTG with them on....XD

Yeah, Telltale only shares financial information for when a game is an extreme outlier - usually meaning it is Telltale's best selling title at that point. If you guys are still concerned, Telltale has not shared financial information for GoT or TFTB either, and they barely even said anything about TWD Season 2 either beyond offhandedly alluding to it doing "a little better than Season 1" in an interview.
