It will be messed up, just like the Hunters were turned into a huge safe-zone only to drag out the episodes and have a huge shoot-out with explosions and a massive clash between them, because that gets views (Sorry, I learned not to put my faith into AMC).
Now I wonder if what happened to Carl will happen here, too. They didn't have the Governor cut Rick's hand off (stupid fucking decision), here's hoping they'll give Carl what he got in "No Way Out".

I know he does, but I still think it'd bring out some new things in Rick, and he has a fucking hook-arm thingy in the latest volume so yeah.
That's why I hated they made this fucking Deanna the leader, Douglas had fit it very well in the comics and it would've been nice to see it in the show. I hope she does do what he did.
Little Known Fact: Kirkman actually regrets having the Governor cut off Rick's hand.
It be a total logistic nightmare.
I just don't see Deanna going out Douglas style.
I'm wondering... if certain actors resigned due to something, would AMC kill them off or rather make them disappear? There's Reedus and his new role, I've also heard about Sasha's actress being pregnant.

I get that people have different opinions of which season was the best, but honestly, season 5 being a letdown is an absolute fact. The first half was ok, but the second half..man, the second half was atrocious. I don't know who paid these people to say this was the best season yet, but there clearly is something fishy going on, because it makes no sense to me why anyone would say this.
The poll was from some random thread on this forum. Apparently 54 people out of the 76 who voted think the season was at the very least, great. Just about half of the voters (47%) think season five is the best season of the show. I don't get it either... lol. Not sure if people are just really, really easily pleased or what.
I have an idea of which comic storyline they're planning to emulate with The Wolves, but it seems like they're going to stretch it out when that comic storyline actually isn't that long. The comic storyline was ok, not my absolute favorite, but I did enjoy it. I guess we'll see what the show has planned. Though I don't think it would be a good idea to have The Wolves be the main storyline of season 6 tbh.
I guess I'm just hoping for a storyline that isn't all over the place, like this past season's was. The idea of an opposing large group that is an open, direct threat to Rick's is kind of appealing. I don't know anything about The Wolves at all though, so maybe they aren't actually suited to that kind of thing. The hype/mystery surrounding them kind of has my interest though.
Morgan coming back was really the only plus side in my opinion, and like you said before, he wasn't even around all that much.
I'm h… moreoping that Morgan will be the saving grace for next season if things continue on as they are.
I guess I'm mostly getting that from various comments in that thread, and how on Talking Dead they were acting as if some phenomenal episode was just released (which maybe they're kind of forced to do... but still). There's also this link which has the majority of voters choosing season five as the best season of the show. I would assume these people are also on board with thinking that the season five finale was great/ one of the best finales of the show..

Forgive me if I sound juvenile, but seriously wtf? I could understand if we're strictly talking about the first half of the season (minus the mid season finale), because I legitimately did enjoy that. But undoubtedly the back half was an absolute hot mess, it was convoluted in a bad way, and the story itself just didn't flow very well. To say the season as a whole was the best..I really don't get it at all. I'm not sure if I want to.
Not sure if people are just really, really easily pleased or what.
I mean..I don't think that I'm that difficult of a person to please when it comes to what I watch, all I ask for is an engaging story line, a plot that makes sense, and character deaths that actually contribute to the plot and aren't merely for shock value. Not that difficult of a task to complete if the writers actually give a damn about what they're working on.:/

That's usually where TWD excels, I think it's time they put a stop to the down in the dumps angst train, and get back to what they're good at. If we got an antagonist with a similar commanding presence to The Governor, I can definitely get behind that.
I don't know anything about The Wolves at all though, so maybe they aren't actually suited to that kind of thing. The hype/mystery surrounding them kind of has my interest though.
I don't think this counts as a spoiler, but The Wolves aren't from comic canon, I'm just guessing they're based off a certain group from the comics. It coincides with a very popular storyline called "No Way Out", so I'm fairly sure that's where they're going with The Wolves. I'm not confident they'll have the guts to stick completely to comic canon though, considering what goes down.

Yeah, I haven't even bothered to look into why people apparently enjoyed it so much, I'm not sure if I want to know why either lol. It's just so weird that so many people actually think season five was some sort of spectacular work when the storytelling was pretty awful (mostly in regards to the 2nd half of the season) and undoubtedly didn't even come remotely close to living up to the hype.
I mean..I don't think that I'm that difficult of a person to please when it comes to what I watch, all I ask for is an engaging story line, a plot that makes sense, and character deaths that actually contribute to the plot and aren't merely for shock value. That's really why the season 5 let down is frustrating. They go out of their way to hype up everything but then it's like they half ass it, to the point where episodes in the 2nd half of the season were essentially filler episode after filler episode, with relevant/ important events happening in the final minutes of the episode to pique your curiosity for what will happen next... and then next week the same thing happens. I mean, I guess that wasn't true for all of the episodes in the 2nd half, but I would say it was true for most of them, and definitely true for the finale... which sucks. I think half way through the finale I thought to myself "when is this episode actually going to get going...?"
I think it's time they put a stop to the down in the dumps angst train, and get back to what they're good at.
Agreed. I get that they're trying to appeal to emotion, but it's just over the top and honestly a little cliche and annoying at this point. Specifically, I really want the Sasha theme to come to an end. It's gotten soooooo old, and every scene about her is exactly the same. We get it, Sasha is having a hard time, stop beating us over the head with it every single episode lol.
I don't think this counts as a spoiler, but The Wolves aren't from comic canon, I'm just guessing they're based off a certain group from the comics. It coincides with a very popular storyline called "No Way Out", so I'm fairly sure that's where they're going with The Wolves.
Oh, I had thought they were directly from the comics for whatever reason.
I'm not confident they'll have the guts to stick completely to comic canon though, considering what goes down.
I'm assuming you're talking about major characters getting killed off? The show will probably absolutely devastate the audience and kill Father Gabriel or something.
Or kill Carol. I swear, it's going to happen next season.
Edit: Sorry, that ended up being a little long. I'm really bitter about this lol.

It wouldn't be out imo, but the thing is that Negan swears so much in the comics that changing it would basically change his character. I think that the word "fuck" wouldn't be out if they would seldom use it.

Exactly. I think what also makes it even more frustrating is we know what brilliance the writing team is capable of, we've seen it in past seasons. I can't for the life of me figure out why they would all of a sudden just start slacking off and give us half baked episodes, the only explanation I can think of is because TWD has gotten really popular and has a substantial following. So there's no need to try anymore. If that really is the reason, then I will definitely lose respect for the writing team and Gimple.
but it's just over the top and honestly a little cliche and annoying at this point. Specifically, I really want the Sasha theme to come to an end. It's gotten soooooo old, and every scene about her is exactly the same.
I know, I'm so over it tbh. I like Sasha, but because every scene has to to with her having this endless struggle, it's beginning to get irritating, and it's getting harder for me to feel sorry for her. And this is coming from a person who usually enjoys angst in stories, so if I'm getting tired of it, then there is definitely way too much of it lol.
I'm assuming you're talking about major characters getting killed off? The show will probably absolutely devastate the audience and kill Father Gabriel or something.
Not exactly, there are a lot of major character deaths that the show has skipped over, but there are other huge pivotal moments for characters that they've skipped over as well. Trying not to give too much away here haha. You should just read the comics!XD
Or kill Carol. I swear, it's going to happen next season.
I won't even be able to express my happiness in words if they finally get rid of her...I will be so frickin happy.
Sorry, that ended up being a little long. I'm really bitter about this lol.
No worries at all, if you couldn't tell, I'm not particularly pleased with this season either lol. Rant as much as you want, there's a 99.9% chance I'll agree with you haha.

I kind of think they probably believe they're still putting decent content out there (especially when there are so many people praising it for whatever reason), but I think they're trying to appeal to the audience in a much more simplistic and uncreative sort of way, and are wayyyy more interested in hyping up their storylines opposed to actually writing good ones. Unfortunately enough people seem to be biting on that to where the writers may not have much reason to change

I'm generally alright with Sasha too, it just seems like she's been stuck in this phase all season long, with essentially no changes in the scenes focused on her. It's hard to tell if there's any direction to her storyline, considering she has really been nothing more than super pissed off for like the entire season lol. It'd be one thing if the scenes were important towards pushing the story forward, but they're really only all about "hey, look how angry and unhinged Sasha is". It does get old lol, especially when we're getting that theme with the overall group as it is. Normally I like angst in the storyline too. Perhaps lol. I've always sort of picked one incarnation and stuck with when it comes to a story though, instead of getting it from a bunch of different sources. i think Morgan Jones will be the TV version of comic tyreese, there will be a power struggle between rick and morgan and people will want a new leader (morgan) and eventually morgan and rick will fight big time, but i don't know, maybe this time morgan will break his hand maybe lose it, then die
Comments
Oh, they won't.
Some people here were asking who are the "Wolves", I'll just say that they're not related to Negan.
They're vaguely called the "DC Scavengers" in the comics.
It will be messed up, just like the Hunters were turned into a huge safe-zone only to drag out the episodes and have a huge shoot-out with explosions and a massive clash between them, because that gets views (Sorry, I learned not to put my faith into AMC).

They could make Sasha pregnant like Sonequa (I think that's how you spell it) and maybe they'll write Daryl off until the future.
Because it has terrible acting and characters?
Something like that.
He would eventually return though. He would have too.
Perhaps that's the reason of why he got an outdoor job. And he will ride off into the sunset on his new motocycle. :>
Thats like your opinion. It has LOTS of people who disagree with you so just cause you don't like it doesn't mean its bad
I've grown tired of him a little bit, I think a break would help me like his character again though.

You liked Woodbury? I did.
For the most part, I would say I did. Certainly more so than the events of season five... and it's not even close.
Theres a spin off show coming this summer.
So no, its not close to being over.
Yeah I wonder what its going to be like. I don't believe it will be as successful.
Yeah I doubt it will be too, but I think the pilot will do well.
I am interested to see the initial outbreak though..
