What is your biggest fear? Your hope?

On the topic of things to consider, with the question of death...thought I'd ask this question.

My biggest fear is that I won't be able to fulfill myself personally, if that makes sense. I've never really cared about anything enough to commit to it all the way. My hope is that I can find something to commit to. Something I enjoy and care about enough that I won't even consider it a hassle, like I usually do.

  • Biggest fear: The day Metallica stops making music (not joking, it's a day I'm not looking forward to)

Biggest hope: That I discover my reason for being put on this earth. In the words of Mark Twain:

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why

  • Biggest fear: Dying alone.

Biggest hope: That I might avoid the above.

  • Biggest fear: having no hopes.

    Biggest hope: having no fears.

  • My biggest fear would be to drown slowly in open sea. I have extreme thalassophobia (fear of the ocean), and I've always reacted violently to not having enough air. My biggest hope would be to get along better with people in general, particularly my family.

  • Speaking of fears, everything about that carpenter story from Alice in Wonderland.

I feel the same about Maiden, man, I love their music, and going to their shows is such a great experience.

  • Greatest Fear: Wolves. Large dogs for that matter. I watched An American Werewolf in London and An American Werewolf in Paris when I was like 4. Unlike when I saw Jaws and Jurassic Park, this made me fear them.

Greatest Hope: Be the goddamn hero and conquer the world.

    Legit.

  • Biggest fear: Being lost and far from home.

Biggest hope: Not dying of a panic attack while being lost and far from home.

  • My biggest fear, like Tombstroke, is dying in the middle of a vast open sea. No one would see me die. No one will find me. Just a sack of meat for fish to feed on.

My biggest hope is to one day find success and happiness, and to conquer all the things that have held me back in life. Pretty generic answer, but the truth.

  • I've wanted to see a Maiden concert for a while now, I've seen a few performances on YT and the energy the band has on stage, especially Dickinson, is amazing, they just never play in the U.S. I'd love to, at some point, see them, Megadeth, Sabbath, Slayer, Aerosmith, and a few others in concert before they ultimately stop playing.

  • Biggest Fear: Dying. Dying as just another lonely life in the history of the world.

Biggest Hope: Truly changing something in the world and being remembered in History.

  • I last saw them in 2012, but they also played some shows in the south in 2014. They'll have a new album out soon, and they'll be here again. When I last saw them, Bruce told the crowd that the next time they came back it'd be with a new album, and that time is near.

  • Biggest Fear: Dying. The part of dying isn't what scares me, it's the possibility that there could be absolutely nothing after death is what terrifies me.

Biggest Hope: Find a good wife and have kids. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's what I want, damn it!.

    • Biggest Fear: Being unable to live a "normal" lifestyle once again.
    • Biggest Hope: Finishing a writing project for once.
  • So many people on here are so scared of there being nothing after death. I've never expected anything else, I guess that's why it doesn't scare me.

  • It really depends on how vast the lake is. The phobia starts to set in only when I'm around especially large bodies of water. I tend to avoid them, anyway.

Pythons don't have eight spindly legs or eight/twelve eerily blank eyes.
