I'm not sure which it was, but I know that:
The first platformer I ever beat was Super Mario Bros (this probably was the first as I spent… more countless hours playing that game when I got my NES for Christmas). I can remember beating it like it was yesterday, mostly because my mom was watching me, and when the Princess came on screen, she said "what the hell is that thing?" :P
The first adventure game I ever beat was the NES version of Maniac Mansion (the Meteor Police ending):

Tomb Raider 3. I remember whenever my cousins came over we would all play but they were scared of the tigers so when a tiger came onto the screen they used to scream until I killed it.

Im not sure but I think it was the curse of monkey island or resident evil code veronica, I played loads of games before but I was pretty shit at them when I was younger, one day game logic clicked and now I can complete any game I can be bothered to
Cool, it's the same for me. I played GTA 3 at the same age but I didn't play it for the missions, just for fun. It took me a couple of years to be good enough at english to complete the whole game. Maybe I was 13, but I still love that game, it's the most memorable for me along with Vice city.
I believe it was Saints Row 2, but I used cheats, so that may not count.
Just a few others I've completed instead: Walking Dead, Assassin's Creed 1, 2 Brotherhood and Black Flag, Mafia 2, Saints Row the Third, Halo Combat Evolved, Halo Reach, Call of Duty World at War, Call of Duty Black Ops and Call of Duty Black Ops 2.
