What is your political ideology?
I've been noticing many ideological debates in this community (especially in TellTale Talk), making me want to know what is your political ideology. I've found this quiz online that only takes a couple of seconds for you to answer.

I know that there's already a thread like this one (The Political Compass: http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/90272/the-political-compass ), but my quiz leans less towards an economical aspect then the previous thread. But, still, feel free to check The Political Compass thread.

Why do they ask age and gender?
Anyway, I got:
Social Democrat: 92%
("In general you are in the Liberal mindset, but wish to take it a step further. You favour the brodening of various social programs and a progressive income tax system to help alleviate social inequality. You wish to change the current social paradigm, but through gradual means.")
Communist/Radical Left: 75%
Liberal: 55%
Conservative: 0%
Fascist/Radical Right: 0%
Libertarian: 0%
Oh, look, I'm a liberal. Who would have guessed? (Social Democrat 80%, Radical Left 38% Libertarian 13%)
Your Result: Libertarian 88%
This quiz has defined you as a Libertarian. Keep in mind, this ideology can be applied to the right or left in the social sense. You believe in a minimal role of the government in solving problems and believe that the "Free market" can handle almost all economic situations.

I got "liberal", which is a crappy label in my opinion.
Liberal (at least in the US) indicates that you favor a bloated nanny-state, which I don't. I believe in streamlining the government by scaling back defense spending and re-allocating those funds into social programs. Otherwise, I think the government should generally stay out of private matters.
You described extreme liberalism ('nanny state' as everyone-out-for-themselves conservative libertarians brand it).
Prioritising welfare over defense is very much a liberal attitude, whether you like the label or not :P
Social Democrat: 91%
Communist/ Radical Left: 81%
Liberal: 55%
Libertarian: 34%
Conservative: 17%
Fascist/ Radical Right: 2%
As expected more or less.
Your Result: Conservative
84%
This quiz has categorised you as a Conservative. You believe in a limited/minimal role in the government to solve social problems, and instead believe economic growth is paramount. It is possible you may identify with the "religious right" as well.

Not necessarily. Traditionally, liberals advocate tax increases in order to fund social welfare. I believe in funding it by cutting waste and excess from other parts of the government.
And like I said earlier, the American term "liberal" is a misnomer to begin with.
The American term of 'liberal' is slightly more right wing than most places definition of the word.
And American English, while a different language to English, isn't massively different in the meaning of that word just yet.
Liberals advocate both cutting unneccesary spending (e.g. military campaigns) and increasing taxes for rich people. It's a duel barreled system.
Out of curiousity, where do think these 'waste' and 'excess' portions of the budget of which you speak are?

Edit: I just realized what he said about British Greens is exactly the same as American Greens - look at Jill Stein (who I voted for), incredibly intelligent, benevolent, yet neither she nor her party are the most politically savy... Ralph Nader was the one exception.
There's a lot, but my personal hobbyhorse is the department of defense and homeland security.
The video is making the point that if it was actual waste it would have been figured out by now.
What specifically about the defence budget do you regard differently to the trained, qualified, professional economists in each of the main parties, and why should we listen to your opinion over theirs?
Not true, outside of America, the term liberal largely applies to someone who advocates free-market capitalism and globalization.
In the UK it has just as wide an application of meaning.
Not sure if I should PM or post, but here's an excellent related quiz. It's largely American issues though.

I got Green 92%, Democrat 90%
Because I pay their salary and have a right to express my opinion on how my taxes are used, regardless of how uneducated it is. If everything is left to the trained specialized professionals, you have a technocracy, not a democracy.
I was going to say, the quiz in this thread mentioned some specific American issues which I found a little confusing.
Your Result: Liberal
89%
This quiz has categorised you as a Liberal. You believe in the role of the government to fight poverty, both by means of welfare programs, and economic regulation. You are defined as a progressive in the US, but you are generally favouring of the retention of the current social paradigm.

You're my new best friend. The Department of Homeland Security was created because there wasn't enough interaction between the FBI and the CIA - creating yet another bureau to muddle up the waters helps NOTHING. Get the FBI and CIA to talk to each other more, that's what needed to be done.
I'm not saying you don't a right to express your opinion, but you can't say that all opinions are equally valid.
Is the opinion that gravity doesn't exist as valid as the opinion that it does?
It's called meritocracy, and meritocracy is the theoretical aim of capitalism, if we have to have capitalism at all.
Also it doesnt interfere with democracy in any way. You still vote for which technically skilled people you want in. It's just that the people who do end up in charge will always have the skills they need for it. Which is good.
Yeah, there were some, but the one I posted is even worse in terms of focusing only on America.
Actually it's technocracy. Meritocracy is based on...well...merit. technocracy is based around putting individuals in power based on educational/practical qualifications.
Yeah. The FBI and CIA have never been on the same page, and redundancy is the invariable result...and as you mentioned, Homeland Security just compounds the redundancy.
Meritocracy is the people who are the best leading. What 'best' is depends on their role.
The best researchers are in charge of researching. The best generals in charge of the army. The best leader in the highest up role of leadership.
They're the same thing.
76 Green, 75 Dem, and and 59 Cons.
I got to question 4, where there were no answers that I liked so I stopped. What does that make me?
This one seems a lot more thorough, questions are worded better too. I'm 94% green, 88% democrat and 60% libertarian. Sounds about right.
A little too much jargon, I'd need a simpler one.
Anarchist, probably.
Oh, good.

This quiz has defined you as a Social Democrat (you may or may not be a Democratic Socialist as well). In general you are in the Liberal mindset, but wish to take it a step further. You favour the broadening of various social programs and a progressive income tax system to help alleviate social inequality. You wish to change the current social paradigm, but through gradual means.
86% Liberal

I don't think I'm radical right, and I wasn't sure about the phrasing of some of the questions, so this isn't exactly accurate in describing my political ideology.
Too many questions that there wasn't a good answer to, but still gave me "libertarian" nonetheless.
Your result: Fascist

All of us who have taken the test aren't less ourselves than you are. Doing a test doesn't stop you being yourself.
This comment made my day. XD
