Apparently I'm a liberal. My father is gonna fucking strangle me.
Looking at this thread I'm still confused as to why some think this forum is right wing. Its pretty clearly left wing, even by internet standards.
Anyway these scales seem a bit American based so I cant really answer it, not to mention a few pre set options are not really a good way to answer these major issues, most people could write several pages about each one.
Because the conservative members are more vocal about their right wing opinions.
And because people who have racist/homophobic views aren't banned like they are on other forums.
And also this quiz is pretty economically focused. If this was a quiz about minority rights then I'd bet far more conservatives would be showing up. As it is, one's opinion of gay marriage accounts for about 2% of the quiz, whereas in real life opposing gay marriage is a pretty extreme conservative stance, and one held a lot on this forum.
Also there's an interesting study which shows right wing people are less likely to take political quizzes/define themselves politically, because they don't like being branded as right wing or conservative. So that's likely a factor too.

I don't need a test to know that I'm independent as fuck. I don't really care to say that I'm quite ignorant on political matters anyway, so I can't exactly say I give a hoot.
Just never been my forte, I've always been more engulfed in music and gaming.

I have to disagree, there is still a pretty strong mix even in debates about subjects. However collectively its more left wing which is to be expected. Plenty of either side have strong opinions.
whereas in real life opposing gay marriage is a pretty extreme conservative stance, and one held a lot on this forum.
I've seen about 3.... max have that opinion on here. And thats long term. It is an odd opinion which I dont agree with but still very few
people who have racist/homophobic views aren't banned like they are on other forums.
They are aren't they? Even unintentionally saying something they seem to be warned and banned. Though to be honest blanket censorship doesnt help anything particularly a debate about anything.

They are certainly more vocal on contentious modern left wing issues.
Threads about gay rights get far more comments and likes from people opposing progress than those for it.
If you think only three people on the forum oppose it, try creating a thread about giving gay people equal rights and see how many commenters there are oppposing and how many likes they get. If your theory is correct they'd only be able to get a maximum of 2 likes.
They are aren't they?
No, they aren't. A person recently described gay people as 'sexual deviants' and was temporarily banned for 5 days. A user saying 'I hate gays' was banned for three days a few months ago. A user describing gay people as 'disgusting' was banned for 5 days over christmas.
On other forums they wouldn't be allowed to come back with such damaging views.
Stopping people from expressing homophobic ideas isn't censorship because those views actually hurt people.
It's not censorship to ban someone for saying they think the Nazi's were right, and that we should kill all Jews. Some opinions are so damaging that allowing them to be publicly expressed does far more harm to others than to their own freeze peach.
Because the conservative members are more vocal about their right wing opinions.

Admitted maybe I dont know the exact number and dont plan to, but still anything homophobic i've seen the counter comments have been numerously more and have received more "likes". If likes are a representative of anything.
On other forums they wouldn't be allowed to come back with such damaging views.
Again I dont agree with or like the opinions had but still complete removal from a community based on a view they have? I think temporary bans are the most fair solution to all parties
I think however bad/radical the opinion or view that it should be allowed for that person to have and share it if they wish, disagree of course or counter it which i often do but discussion is based around that. Particularly if its not aggressively aimed .

Like are obviously representative of things - an entire point of them is to represent agreement.
And then we clearly haven't been looking at the same threads. When dislikes were a thing, after I made a thread asking for a gay character in twd season 2, I got 32 downvotes.
complete removal from a community based on a view they have?
Yes, absolutely.
however bad/radical the opinion or view that it should be allowed for that person to have and share it if they wish,
The community guidelines forbid hateful speech.
Saying gay people are disgusting, immoral and sexually deviant is hate speech.
And since these people are almost always holding these views because of religion, debate becomes impossible, because it just amounts to 'this book says this so I think it.'

A pretty weird example, I remember that thread had a few other issues apart from that. It wasn't just against gay characters it was to do with how you worded it and other arguments. For example the game being better purely due to there being gay characters or less good purely due to the lack of gay characters
Anyway we are getting a bit off topic here, my original point that as a whole the claims of the forum being majorly right wing were false stands.

You said people should be free to share their opinions if they wish - this is acting on it. The only logical conclusion fro you thinking people should be free to share their opinions, regardless of what they are, is that people shouldn't get bans for doing so. But now you say that it's good they are receiving bans and having posts removed.
For example the game being better purely due to there being gay characters or less good purely due to the lack of gay characters
I literally never said that. Genuinely. All I was doing was asking for more representation.
my original point that as a whole the claims of the forum being majorly right wing were false stands.
It's not off topic at all - the forum isn't just literally how many people are on it, but also how much each member contributes. The right wingers on the forum are more vocal generally than the left wingers about social issues.
In a recent thread about abortion about half of people were pro, half against. IN a recent forum poll, about 70% were pro choice and only 11% pro lifer. Clearly there's imbalance somewhere, and implying that this thread alone proves that the forum is a left wing forum is just rubbish. It neither proves nor disproves anything - all we should look at is how often one sees left wing comments and how often one sees right wing comments in deciding whether a forum as a whole is left or right wing.
In addition, as the mods do not wish to perma ban people for severe homophobic comments, they aren't exactly left wing in this respect. And if the people in charge aren't left wing then that says something about the forum itself.
However unreasonable an opinion is an opinion. Acting on such an opinion is another matter entirely. The fact the posts are removed and bans… more given for this shows they are being responded to.

This quiz has categorized you as a Conservative. You believe in a limited/minimal role in the government to solve social problems, and instead believe economic growth is paramount. It is possible you may identify with the "religious right" as well.

I'm not 100% what a Social Democrat is? Apparently i'm tied with it, just remember we are all people and should respect our unique opinions on the world (If we were all Liberal's or Conservatives the world would be so boring)

It's not what a robot says, its what a human says through the internet.
A human has matched up certain views with certain political identies that they fit into, and created a tool to connect them for others.
This is too US-centric for my mind to grasp.
