  • Yeah, it was more once it becomes a embryo and fetus. In one day in pregnancy it wouldn't be either of those. (I'm assuming it would just be single cells forming still)

That's a good question. I guess it could be any time, but the discussion usually is about surgical abortion which can happen the earliest at like 7-8 weeks.

  • Ok, thanks for the clarification. A problem in this kind of discussions is, that people either see it black or white, while you could also argue about certain limits and compromises and exceptions of the rule.

  • I don't think anyone would be comfortable having over 50 piercings.

I think it's pretty stupid to be upset over a tattoo, especially when it isn't forbidden. There's a verse that says you shouldn't cut marks on your skin and bleed for gods like pagan worshippers around them did, but no one forbids you to have a tatoo.

For the fourth survey I was thinking of doing one about tattoos and piercings and make it interesting. My family is Jewish so when my cousin got a tattoo on his back they where really upset and yeah.

  • In terms of attraction, tattoos are hot if they are done well but just like real estate it's about location, location, location.

It's called an abortion from the moment of conception (fertilization, the fusing of the gametes to form a zygote), since it is the moment sentient life is created, and a human being with all of his chromosomes starts growing and developing. I'm not saying this from my personal opinion, but from a biological fact.

On the 8th week, they already have most organs, and the nerve cells in the brain start to branch.

If I'm not clear, maybe this will explain it better:

“That is, in human reproduction, when sperm joins ovum, these two individual cells cease to be, and their union generates a new and distinct organism. This organism is a whole, though in the beginning developmentally immature, member of the human species. Readers need not take our word for this: They can consult any of the standard human-embryology texts, such as Moore and Persaud’s The Developing Human, Larsen’s Human Embryology, Carlson’s Human Embryology & Developmental Biology, and O’Rahilly and Mueller’s Human Embryology & Teratology.” – Dr. Robert George

but like... 50? how would that even work, are you going to put 10 on each hand, 10 on each leg, one in the belly button, one... down there, 2-3 in the tongue or lips and 2-3 in the eyebrows? How would you squeeze 50? Can you even put it on your hand? xD

  • Okay, thanks for looking up. What I actually wanted to know is which definition of abortion do they use when they er... "discuss" this kind of topic in the US. But it is good to have the biological background knowledge too.

Like the morning-after contraception, given the ovulation already happened, would be abortion from a biological viewpoint but not in the abortion debate, I assume.

Morning after pills would be abortion like any other method, but most people won't consider it as one, since the human isn't very "human" like, although it is one.

No problem, by the way :)

I decided to retake the test so that I would have all the percentages.

    Your Result: Libertarian

    91%

This quiz has defined you as a Libertarian. Keep in mind, this ideology can be applied to the right or left in the social sense. You believe in a minimal role of the government in solving problems and believe that the "Free market" can handle almost all economic situations.

    70%
    Conservative

    9%
    Liberal

    7%
    Fascist/Radical Right

    0%
    Social Democrat

Did I post this in this thread? I really don't think I did? If I did though, fail.

  • I really didn't think I posted it here, because I got the link to take the quiz from the only tab I had open, and then after I closed the quiz tab I pasted the results back into the page I got the quiz from. No idea what happened.

  • I'm not gonna look up cities I don't know to judge which one is best! :) Fortunately, I knew most of them anyway.

You misspelled Omaha and Milwaukee. Can you edit the quiz, or does it just have to stay that way? Ohama looks kind of like Obama.

  • Huntington should've been the city to judge from instead of Charleston for the West Virginia/Maryland. Charleston is an odd place filled with gigantic Catholic Churches, walk-light-things that don't work, a overweight prostitute, a huge civics center with a catwalk that I may or may not have watched cheerleaders flaunt on, confusing roads, this one guy that almost got ran-over(city-folk are mean,) strangers that don't wave back at you, dirty-ass rivers, a Indian toll-booth man, and strangest of all, my sister-in-law.
