She's been trained as a Witcher, but didn't undergo any of the mutations because they're incompatible with female anatomy. Something to do with the hormones, IIRC.
I haven't read the books but someone explained Ciri's origin in the books to me and said Geralt trained her as a Witcher I'm wondering is sh… moree an actual Witcher? Someone told me that the female body can't handle the mutation that Witchers go through no idea if it's true though. I'd really appreciate if you or anyone else could explain it to me. (I know about her special blood by the way so need to explain that)

In the meantime, you can ignore these guys as well. Reviewer claimed the game has bad combat and he had to lower the difficulty because of it, amongst other silly things he mentioned due to his incompetence.
As a little appreciation for you guys keeping this thread afloat for quite some time, I made a countdown regarding The Witcher 3's release! So I'll include it here and in the OP above.
I have been replaying The Witcher 2 in preparation for The Witcher 3. A thought occurs to me when Triss offered to find the Rose of Resemblance. Considering how Phillipa used the rose to control Saskia, is it possible that Triss intended to do the same to Geralt?

I would love to get this game, but I'm quite sure it won't run on my laptop, though it's puzzling me why. I went onto system req labs, ran a test and it doesn't meet the minimum specs required to run the game. Yet I can run Dragon Age Inquisition at 1920 x 1080 and with settings on high. (Apparently, on the Dragon Age Inquisition page, I only get 50% pass on the Minimum spec 'pie chart', so I'm not sure why I can run it at the specs I do according to that site)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 860m (Pixel and vertex shader requirements are at 5.0, which I meet. Required ram is 1.5gb, and I have 4.1gb on the card yet I fail the test as I do for the processor.)
Anyway, I'm aware of the 30 day money back guarantee, but I don't want to risk not getting a refund and taking advantage of their good will by getting multiple refunds, with getting a refund for Baldur's Gate 2 a few weeks back due to it only playing in a small box (which might stop me getting a refund for the witcher 3 if they keep tabs, should it not work)
Anyhow, just puzzled how I don't meet the minimum specs, yet I can run Dragon Age at quite high settings. Don't have a console for it either, nor the money, though there's a few good deals. Ps4 for £299.99 with The Witcher 3, 500 gb (one with Bloodborne as well for £319.99)

You mean the system reqs might not be accurate on that site, or? I hope that's the case, but £36 odd is too much to take a chance on really. (They're the same as on gog.com)
Dragon Age: Inquisition had AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz, Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz; 4 GB RAM, Win 7 or 8, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT and 26 GB of free disc space, and those are reccomended requirements, not the minimum. I'd say you should be able to run Witcher 3 - after they downgraded it - on the lowest/medium settings or at least try to. You can always have your money back, I've heard gog.com is pretty reliable.

Yeah they are, and that's what makes me tempted to risk it. The refund thing. It's just that with requesting a refund a few weeks back, I figured they might not be as keen. Probably a stupid thing to do, but I emailed their support about it. (It's funny my specs are nowhere near the recommended requirements for Dragon Age. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/dragon-age-inquisition/12360/?p=a)

An excellent launch trailer, with some great music choice.

5 more hours, ladies and gentlemen. 5 more hours.
I'm currently watching playthroughs of this game. Some youtuber's got it early. I'm not spoiling it though. I will say that in my opinion the art, world, and characters are beautiful, but the story so far is decent. I haven't played any Whitcher games so I wouldn't know anyway lol

Understandable, as these trailers usually make games more than what they really are. I personally trust C.P.R. in keeping to (most of) what … morethey've advertised and promised about the game. Then again, it's more likely the Witcher 2 fanboy in me saying so, lol.
Can anybody answer something for me as well? So I've been really enjoying the witcher 3 and have been exploring Velen for awhile, but there is just so much side content and stuff to do in Velen by itself. Anyways my question is if I continue with the main story will I miss out/fail on the side quests in Velen or do they stay there even after you leave? (I really want to continue the main story and meet up with Triss.)
Alright, let's get this story done so I can meet Triss. Oooh this story is interesting! I'm gonna do that. Alright, back to Tri-...Gosh this one is interesting too! Alr-...Hello Keira, your story is awesome too. Shall we have dinner?

Okay thanks for clarifying I appreciate it
In my country, I can apparently buy Witcher 2:Assassins of Kings for like 5 dollars if I buy Witcher 3 on PC.
I won't miss this opportunity.

Oh boi, Geralt looks so old. He is 100 years old though.
This game. I need it.
Bitch got rekt.

Apparently Max Payne 3 on PC has an even bigger game size than that. Then you have the typical MMO's on the comp too, of course.

My reaction: Why is she taking her clothes off? Oh Geralt that's why... oh wait... she's a monster.
I have been replaying The Witcher 2 in preparation for The Witcher 3. A thought occurs to me when Triss offered to find the Rose of Resemblance. Considering how Phillipa used the rose to control Saskia, is it possible that Triss intended to do the same to Geralt?
Hey, does anyone here know how much the expansion pass will cost separately?
About 25€ I think.
That's an interesting point since Triss does tend to hide things from Geralt I'd say... maybe.
Well damn. Well I'm till gonna pick her :P

They probably send dozens of refunds per day, I wouldn't worry about asking for another one.

GAME IS NOW PLAYABLE ON STEAM WOOOOOT

I'm getting the game tomorrow, I can't fucking wait.
I heard Tywin's in it
I'm a gamer it's kinda my thing
Oh, why the music? :< It instantly reminded me of TWD, too many feels to handle.
Also,
2:40
I installed the game aaaand it crashed. Have you guys had any problems with that?
Clocked about 11 something hours so far. Game is amazing.
And...THE BROTP HAS RETURNED
Every now and again, but not frequently. I recommend turning off Hairworks, solved most of my performance issues.
So far is seems your trust was well placed!
I thought there was a part where you input your witcher 2 choices. Where is it at?
It's after you leave the prologue area I believe. I just imported my file directly, so it skipped it.
Ahh ok that's probably right. I'm still exploring White Orchard because I don't want to leave and fail any side missions lol.
I just saw a video on what happens if you try to double dip with Yenn and Triss and oh my god hahahaha glorious
I hope I didn't screw anything up sleeping with Keira lol
Immensely enjoying The Witcher 3 and I hope you guys enjoy it as well. I have a question to ask though.
If you save Triss by the end of Witcher 2, will the mages and other "freaks" still be persecuted at Novigrad?

This is me during the whole Velen act.

Gosh...the amount of content is insane.
I came back to Velen after I met Triss, so I guess you can finish side quests after you leave a certain area. Open world rules.
