Given the franchises that have famous games on it, the SNES probably has more relevance nowadays, and the Genesis probably hasn't aged as well. Plus a lot of Genesis's famous games are available on steam. Love me that Shining Force.

Ack. I grew up playing Nintendo consoles, so this is a tough one. If I went by what I played the most, probably NES or SNES. If I went by which had the most games I still play today, probably Wii or Nintendo 64.

yeah i love sam and max checked out the cartoon very good almost finished with season 1 of the game by telltale classic and overall i have not seen any of the comics
Me too. They really don't make consoles like they used to. With all their moving parts, I can't imagine a modern console surviving 15 years like my N64 has. My 360 broke after like five years. I would pay twice the price of a PS4 for a cartridge based console with modern graphics.
I was thinking about posting this when i saw the thread title :P
I had so much fun playing on my Nintendo 64 when i was a kid and i still have my original console.
No Matter what, I'll always think of Nintendo from this Line,
"Sega Does, What Ninten-DON'T"
But When it came to Sega Vs Nintendo, Sega could never have won Against the Gamecube. I still have My Purple Lunchbox sitting next to My PC, Ahhhh, Good times, Good times...
Saturday Morning on the Couch with Mario Sunshine, Pokemon XD, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime and Smash Melee, Those were the greatest days of my Youth...
Out of all of those, the only one I've played is Banjo Kazooie (and finally completed it in the XBLA remake). I enjoyed it a lot. I've also played Banjo-Tooie, and, while I find it fun, I personally don't like it as much as the original (they added in a bit too much complexity for my tastes in having to find and unlock worlds, and took a bit of the fun out of it, in my opinion).
I do intend to pick up the others at some point though.
So have you tried banjo kazooie and donkey kong 64 i heard they are good i own dk64 but i personally have never played it much at all
and for wii have you tried rayman raving rabbids thats a classic
Definitely Super Nintendo followed closely by GameCube. Any system that has Kirby SuperStar, Donkey Kong Country 2, Chrono Trigger, Tactics Ogre is alright by me.
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow was amazing and Harmony of Dissonance and Circle of the Moon were also pretty good, it had Boktai one of the best stealth games of all time, Zelda Minish Cap which was great, Golden Sun which was amazing, Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission, plus a bunch of awesome ports of awesome NES and SNES, even some of Genesis and it also was retro compatible with both the classic GB and GBC, not to mention that it had a long battery life and was fairly comfortable for extended play-sessions, that shit was amazing.
To be honest I love my Nintendo consoles but the GBA was the only one (I didn't have a GBC) that actually accompanied me while on the road, and growing up I spent a lot of time in the free-way, funny how my parents never questioned why I had one with a lot of games if they never gave me one.
Comments
it's all about dat SNES
I have never tried a snes but i do have a nes given by my step sister many years ago is the snes good if so ill have to try it sometime
People like retrogaming on the SNES, but let's not pretend people growing up in the early 90s didn't prefer the Genesis.
so if i was to try a retro game console which should i try 1st genesis or snes?

Crash on ps2 was ...well..shit. It was owned by Sierra at that time and torn to shreds. Idk if they still own it though.

I'd say either Gamecube or the 3DS.
well wii has gamecube hardware built in my opinion thats better because u can play both gamecube and wii games which is awesome
True, but I meant solely in the context of the console's own games and unique features - I wasn't counting backwards compatibility.
yeah, I respect your opinion too that's rare on the internet
I like new and old too, but with certain things I have to draw the line.
Yo is ur photo the sam and max cartoon or the comic ? a month or 2 ago i watched most of the episodes of the sam and max cartoon and its awesome
Yeah, it's a from a pic in the "Surfin' The Highway" comic anthology. That's cool. I was lucky to have seen it when I was little, back in the 90s.
yeah i love sam and max checked out the cartoon very good almost finished with season 1 of the game by telltale classic and overall i have not seen any of the comics
Console wise it's a tie between the SNES and Gamecube.
Handheld is easily the 3DS though. l used it way too much in 2013.

Gamecube, it has some of the best games ever released in my opinion
GameCube lol i loved Simpsons hit and run.

GBA (SP) Anyone?
