You can only play as a male in fallout 4, and other rumours *probably fake*

Yeah. Incredibly pissed off if this is true, hopefully it isn't.

If that's true, it's fucking stupid. I mean in The Elder Scrolls you can be a lady lizard person if you want wtf is Bethesda doing?
I like being able to play as both sexes you get some different options that way. I noticed that the post was 11 months old so hopefully things have changed.
A random from reddit from nearly a year ago? Sure......
Yeah and she said the game was 40% complete at that time and I just can't see the game having progressed 60% in 11 months..
Voiced protagonist has no bearing on the PC's possible gender, unless Bethesda is lazy and can't do what, for example, Bioware did with little effort.
Wasn't true for previous Fallout games (or any of the main TES games), why should it be true now?
Probably not I must have skipped part that to the juicy bits that were making my eyes pop out if they are true.
Well neither was a voiced protagonist, and they do hint at that in the trailer.
It is not true.
Smells like bullshit. I can't imagine a Fallout game where you can't pick the sex. They've done that in every game since the beginning, it had actual (if minor) consequences on dialogue. Not to mention Bethesda has had a large degree of freedom in character in all of there games (to my knowledge).
It isn't like this would be an issue of not having the money to invest the time in creating a separate model, which is an issue some developers have. They already have female nps, which are voiced. I don't know about the rest of it, because I don't feel like reading it, however, I highly doubt that female characters won't be an option.
And even if they weren't at 40% completion, they probably wouldn't have needed alternate character options to be a priority at that point anyway. At that point in development they had less than half of the total content in the game, so there wasn't really a need to have a voiced female protagonist yet; the script wasn't even done. They only needed one for testings sake. In Fallout it isn't like you are hanging on the emotions of your character's expressions anyway, so interchanging the model really doesn't make that much of a difference.
If it does come out and there's no female option, that will be dumb. I highly doubt this will be the case though.
Not true, why do you all even trust this crap?
Don't give a shit as long as the game is good.
It would be weird considering it isn't like the past games, so it would be an awkward transition in the norm for Fallout... but so long as the game is enjoyable I don't see the harm.

You would be "pissed" because they decided to take a different route in their story telling? Take this hypothetical, there is a game that you enjoy that doesn't let you choose your sex and in the next installment they give you the option.... would you be pissed about that? I doubt it.
and? what are you gonna do not buy the game because of this one little thing? plus it's on reddit from 11 months ago i smell the bullshit from ages away
It has been shared massively in the past few days, so when I first read it earlier I thought it was recent.
These are baseless rumors, no point in listening to them, plus it's a Bethesda developed game, they've never done a game without character creation and certainly that don't let you play as a woman so they are probably untrue, it would make no sense.
She got many things right, but she could have made up some of the bad stuff to piss off people and revenge bethesda
Wouldn't care either way, but most likely its a troll for SJW.
