To make a Silent Hill game you need competent writers and stuff, to make another random jumpscare thing you just rehash the old game and add a gimmick or two.
I'd rather they wait to make a decent sh sequel than shit out a shitty one.

I believe I already know who Caused the bite, and it sure as hell wasn't these two creepy MoFo's. But I do know this, The Hype is real. Not only do I get to watch this Franchise and all those animatronics die through a Delightfully looking horror game, But now I can finally finish all my theories, throw my file cabinet drawer of FNaF theories out the window, set it on fire, dance around the flames, and Go back to playing the last door and having Nobody EVER ask me to play that abomination again... I didn't really care one way or the other, but half the youtube channels I watch related to gaming have been inundated with "DO FNAF DO FNAF" on every single video that isn't related to the game. People who like it shouldn't be hated on as much as they are, but there is a large portion of the fanbase which is thoroughly obnoxious.
Though I will say - 'lore,' as fans love to fawn over, should be developped by a complex and diverse content, not by leaving massive segments of the story completely unexplained. Raising questions and continually not answering them is not 'lore,' it's the distinct lack of it. The creators didn't make Five Nights at Freddy's complicated, the millions of fan theories trying to explain an under-developped plot did. Constantly speculating about the identity of the allusive 'phone guy' seems complicated until you realize its just thousands of people on the internet guessing from the information you have - there's a guy. He leaves messages on the phone. He's a phone guy. Oh, and he dies.

I know I'm oversimplifying about the phone guy, I'm just saying Five Nights at Freddy's seems to work more by obfuscating the events and leaving the player to guess than on increasingly building out an original universe - compare to things such as Fallout, Star Wars, etc, even if you only look at their first iteration. Of course, those were higher budget and had a lot more to work with.
Now that I think about it, I think really I object mostly to the use of the term 'lore.' It's not lore, which implies an expansive, original world. It's a plotline. An interesting enough plotline, but not really lore. I like The Walking Dead, for instance, but I still wouldn't qualify it as having 'lore.'
