  • No, I agree it's a pretty fun game. It's just funny to me that it's so "edgy".

  • Generations and Unleashed were the only Sonic games I really liked.

  • That, the music, and the fact that Shadow's character is very try-hard.

  • Sonic 2 & 3 are really fucking good, as for 3D games...Sonic Adventure 2, Unleashed, and generations are all pretty fantastic.

  • Oh yeah they're pretty good for 2005.

  • Sonic Adventure 2 always and forever. Sonic Heroes is awesome as well, though nothing near SA2.

  • The one where you have to go fast!

  • Sonic 3, I like that one the best, I never really bothered finishing any other Sonic games.

  • 2D: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, Sonic CD.

3D: Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Generations, Sonic Unleashed.

Though if I had to pick one, it would be Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.

  • This game, of course:

I totally didn't regret buying it, back in 2006. It was the best purchase I made that year. I could've just waited a while for the reviews, but fuk that. That would've been a terrible decision.

Being honest, for the 2D games... probably the PS3/360/other modern versions of Sonic CD. 3D Sonic games... maybe Sonic Adventure 1.

  • nun of them then

My favorite 2D Sonic game is Sonic The Hedgehog: Pocket Adventure for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. It mixed the Dreamcast era design of Sonic with the gameplay of the classic Sonic games (especially Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2) and did it really well. They've re-released the Game Gear Sonic games, but it's a shame they never did the same with this one.

    Sonic Pocket Adventure

My favorite 3D Sonic game is Sonic Generations. The camera and/or handling usually is wonky in 3D Sonic games, but this wasn't the case here. Both the 2D perspective and 3D perspective stages are a lot of fun.

    Sonic Generations

I also really like Sega Sonic The Hedgehog, the multiplayer arcade game that originally controlled with a trackball (but is made much more enjoyable on emulators with a joystick). It's a 2.5D perspective Sonic game that's actually a lot of fun. I wish they'd release this one officially for PC or consoles.

    Sega Sonic the Hedgehog
