Your idols & role models

Yo everyone. Just came up with this simple question: What's your idol? Mine is Sylvester "Sly" Stallone! He is the real badass. Even still, nobody is flawless so I am aware of Sly's bad actions but I know he makes up for them. He knows his mistakes. By the way, please try to respect people's opinions, okay?

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! -Sylvester Stallone

  • People need to love themselves more. Be your own idol, worship yourself, don't demean others' value but don't let celebrities or musicians be your compass or influence who the fuck you want to be. It'll make life a lot easier down the line.

    Heil.

  • You are goddamn right.

I have no "idols", but I have a handful of role models.

Mr. Takei comes to mind, first and foremost. Then I have endearing respect for Nelson Mandela and Queen Elizabeth. There's also Monty Oum who made a huge impact in my life through his creations and success. On a completely different note, I would count Matt Stone and Trey Parker as well for their creations, social commentary and anti-censorship antics.

God bless him. He saved America.

I found him and his story fascinating. Ancient Rome is a great treasure trove of people.

  • Your idols & role models

Jesus - Keeps me from being mean to people, my ptsd makes it easy.

My Best friend John - is a constant inspiration, because we are a lot of alike, and we push each to our limits.

My Mom- for being strong, even when it wasn't easy.

  • My only idol is my Dad.

He's pretty chill even when things aren't exactly going his way and he's got a great sense of humor. He just kind of takes things as they come and looks after his family. All around a simple dude, but one of the best dudes I know. He's the kind of person I want to be.

Hayao Miyazaki. He's one of my favorite filmmakers and I am straight up jealous of his creativity.

    - Franklin D. Roosevelt

    Alt text

He managed to help America get out of a devastating crisis. My favorite president out of the ones I've learned of in History class.

    - Martin Luther King Jr.

    Alt text

He managed to desegregate US society as a whole, and ended the whole whites vs. black dilemma that was rampant throughout the country. One of the best, if not THE best civil rights activist in history. He has 1000% of my respect

    - Robert De Niro (My favorite)

    Alt text

The greatest actor that has ever lived. This guy nails method acting down to the bone! He's also in one of my favorite movies of all time: Taxi Driver. I honestly hope to reach his levels of acting someday. :')

    - Martin Scorsese

    Alt text

The greatest director of our time. Oh how I love the films he has made. I am so glad he and De Niro have had major collaborations in the past.

But most of all, the role model that is closest to heart will always be my sister. She has been there for me through thick and thin, and has made my life a whole lot happier. She teaches me everything I need to know in order to get into adulthood. I wouldn't have been here without her. :)

  • Fuck yea!

I have one Role model... A woman who went against all odds at a Young age, A woman who was teased, and said she had stupid Ideas, all starting as an assistant on A YouTube animated series Under the name of "Bravest Warriors". After Helping there, she had Pushed the boundries, and She kept working her damnedest, Recieving both hate and Love, Until she got a huge opportunity, as A Song writer on a Show called Adventure time. She then began to animate, write, and Act on that show, Being Nominated 4 Emmy's for her work, Until deciding to Make one TV show, to save A TV network from absolute shit programming. This woman is still in Her 20's, Being brave, Pushing the Topics, Themes, and Boundries that no Childrens cartoonists dare tread past.

This Woman's Name is Rebecca Sugar, and She is my Hero, She is the reason I keep trying my Best at my YouTube channel, and Stories, and art. She inspires me, She is Fury, She is Paitence, She is a Conversation.

Rebecca Sugar, Writer on Adventure Time, Creator of Steven Universe, Living Inspiration.
