Stories That Should Be Made into Video Games, TV Shows or Movies
What are stories that should be made into Video Games, TV Shows or Movies? This can be from anything that has a story. For example, Books, Comic Books, Graphic Novels, Manga and ect. You can even list Video Games that you think should be made into Movies or a TV Show. You can also list TV Shows or Movies that you think should be made into Video Games.
When you're making your list make sure you put what you want it to be made into beside the title. If you think it should be a video game or if you think it should be a live-action, animated or cgi based TV Show or Movie. For example, Left 4 Dead: (Live-Action Movie) or Halo: (CGI TV Show) or The Hunger Games: (Video Game) and you don't have to put why you'd like it be a Video Game, TV Show or Movie if you don't want to.
Here's some of my list:
1.) Fables: (Live-Action TV Show or Animated TV Show)
Forget about Once Upon a Time and Grimm, because Fables is the only modern take on fairy tales that needs to be on TV. Bill Willingham’s whimsical comic about a community of classic fairytale characters trying to live in secret amongst humanity is Vertigo’s greatest achievement since the Sandman era, and it seems tailor-made for TV.
Fables is unique because Willingham doesn’t just write these comics like typical fantasy fare; instead, he adds real-world social and political issues into them, unlike the disposable TV competition. Characters like Snow White and Bigby Wolf are perfect for audiences to latch onto as they are both incredibly relatable as a couple, and they also have dense backstories that allow for escapism.
Watching the sprawling world of Fables slowly unfold on TV would be one of the more impressive accomplishments for a network in quite some time, and we could easily see fans of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings following each episode with a cult-like intensity.
2.)The Last of Us: (Live-Action Movie)
Who doesn't love a post-apocalyptic United States?! In the year 2033 we follow two awesome characters, Joel and Ellie, on their action-adventure, horror journey of epic ass kicking! It's a great story and I think the audience will be touched by some great acting. I'd really like Ellen Page to be Ellie but younger actresses need a chance too.
3.) The Walking Dead Comic (Animated TV Show)
I know we already have a live-action TV Show but I would definitely love to see a direct adaptation of The Walking Dead comics. I love AMC's The Walking Dead but so much has been changed from the comics. I think it'd be a great alternative for the fans, and newcomers alike. an episodic animated series that mirrors the comics much more closer than AMC's The Walking Dead could be a great way to get newcomers of the series up to speed with the comic book readers, and quite frankly you could arguably get away with so much more with an animated series.
4.)DMZ: (Video Game or Animated TV Show)
In the book, America is ripped apart by a new Civil War that has transformed Manhattan into a demilitarized zone in between The Free States and the United States of America. It's a tale of Middle America rising up and taking back what is theirs from a country that would rather fight pointless wars abroad than settle its own domestic issues. Sounds pretty familiar, right?
By taking plot points right out of the headlines, Wood created a terrific piece of political pop art that would make for a gripping TV series. DMZ wouldn’t just be entertaining; it could also be incredibly important for a generation of disillusioned youths to get some actual sustenance from television.
5.) Y: The Last Man:(Live-Action TV Show or Animated TV Show or Video Game)
The unfortunately named Yorick somehow escapes a plague that instantly kills all male mammals on the planet. What transpires is a travel tale pitting the young Yorick against the brutal aftermath of a world shattering event. Yorick is at the epicenter of the event as he is potentially the most important person alive as the survival of humanity rests on his libido. All Yorick cares about however, is finding the love of his life who is lost somewhere on the other side of the planet.
Comments
The Road tv series, same for the Old Republic for star wars.
Soulless by Christopher Golden deserves a live action movie and I think the GONE series can make a fantastic video game or live action TV series. Aside from that, I would most certainly love to see a RWBY video game (which I know is being worked on right now).
I'd love to see Breaking Bad be turned into a Telltale game.
RWBY should be turned into a game!
It's in the process of being made into one. Not sure how far they've gotten with Monty's death and all, but they'll probably make an announcement relating to it this year at RTX.
for games:
For TV shows:
Mini-series:
Movies
Didn't know about the Rwby game. Do you know who's making it? what platforms?
Jordan Scott, who was hired into Roosterteeth after making an impressive fan-game called RWBY Grimm Eclipse. It was announced last year during RTX and there was a demo that came out on Christmas for the "new version" of the game. It'll be for computer, I believe.
"the Mickey Goldmill Story" written by Carl Kirshner. Story is about Burgess Meredith's beloved Rocky character, Mickey Goldmill. The story is very emotional and it would make a great spin-off. If Mr. Meredith was here to see it, that would be great.
Rest in Peace
The Last of us is already being made into a movie. My answer would be Edge of Tomorrow should be made into a game. It would be a first or third person shooter where, like the souls games and bloodborne, death is part of the game.
This tv mini series, i would like to see into some sort of episodic game, how people would deal with the upcoming nuclear apocalypse.
The Kane Chronicles (Animated series)
Mass Effect (TV series)
Infamous (TV series)
Crossed TV show. i know this shit seems like it probably be too much even for HBO to show, but it does put a spin to the virus-apocalyptic-world we've been having
oh an there is already going to be a TLOU movie, me i would love a series i dont trust Video Game movies, but i would love a series about the universe of TLOU maybe about the fireflies or something.
also i think they are making a Y: Last the Man movie.
im not so sure how an animated WD series would work... besides the show is getting good and hopefully they can keep it good.
Fables it was a while that i heard could be turned into a movie..

Or a Lego Game <)
Game of Thrones open world MMORPG would be awesome.
computer as in browser, or as in steam. If steam: do you know whether it is mac friendly?
BTW thanks for the info
F.E.A.R
Tv show or movie
Scary with an excellent supernatural story with lots of action perfect
Such a great and complex story would probably need a tv series
add more later
Amnesia The Dark Descent or Outlast: (Live-Action Movie)
Both sound tempting....I'll go with both video games becoming movies!
Unconfirmed for Steam, right now it's solely for browser. That being said, I believe it is Mac friendly. And you're welcome!
Thanks!
Glad to help.
Definitely! On Jan 25, 2012 AMC made a fully animated version of the beginning of Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead" graphic novel, featuring the voice of Phil LaMarr.

It sucks that this is the only motion comic of The Walking Dead because I would love to see the entire comic book series animated like this just because I'd rather watch the animated version than read the comic book, especially for the much better issues later on.
Exclusively or just as an option?
Okay cool, in that case I totally agree.
I would love TWD Telltale TV Show!
Will it be for PS4?
Right now, it's solely for web browser. We'll have to see what they announce this year at RTX.
I'm still waiting for a anime series of these two on Toonami!
