Well I have Xbox one and I love it plus we will be getting Backwards compatibility later this year which is awesome . Overall both consoles are similar and both are great, but I agree with TWD_stan. Look at the exclusives for each console and decides which ones sound best to you .
It depends on which type of games you like, but I'd recommend PS4. It has generally more exclusive titles, especially in the indie and rpg sector. Microsoft has Halo and some other game series I personally don't care about. And backwards compatibility, which is great if you have 360 games. If you still can't decide, go for the cheaper, look for a bundle or special offer.
As others have said, check out their exclusives. Here, I got you a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_exclusives_(eighth_generation)
psst, get a wii u
I've always been a huge Playstation fan. I think they've got the best and most varied exclusives around. Lots of awesome one's coming up for the PS4; Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, Until Dawn, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, Rime, Wild, etc. Plus you could also catch up on some other amazing games like Infamous: Second Son, Bloodborn, The Last of Us, the first 3 Uncharted, Journey and Tearaway.
There's also this really cool feature called Share Play. I dunno why nobody ever seems to talk about it. It lets you stream games to your friends and they can play it for themselves. Also allows you to play games that would normally only be local-co-op online with a friend.
I think exclusives are the most important thing about a gaming console, so I would just look up what both have to offer and choose that way.

Im pretty why is because a bunch of developers refused to allow their games to be played this way.

Oh, I'm sure we'll hear about it again later this year. Super curious about that one! Great art style and being able to play as any living creature in the game!

The PS4 seems more gaming orientated than the Xbone Nought, and being a near addicted gamer, I went for the PS4.
The Xbox One (Xbone Nought) is still a good console, and I still play it with a friend ar his place. But the PS4 is more to my tastes (Plus, Hitman will be having exclusive content on the PS4. Fuck yea).
Smash Bros is great, but now it's on 3DS too, so nah.
When you play smash competitively you'll quickly realize how shit the 3DS version actually is in comparison to the Wii U one. That being said, I also think the Wii U is the best out of the 3 because I find the exclusives to be way better than what Sony or Microsoft has to show at this point, especially considering 90% of those "exclusives" will end up on PC after some time.
True that! I stand by my KRS One gif. Unless you're crazy about Nintendo 1st party titles, there's absolutely no reason to get a Wii U.

I have both an X360 and a PS3, and I'm undecided on which next-gen console to buy.
Though as I am waiting for Mortal Kombat X to be available for X360 or PS3, then, I am confused whether to buy it for the PS3 or Xbox 360 also acknowledging the fact that there are differences between the ability to surf the internet on both consoles and also which console I would buy a gift card on aaaand... my games are mixed being either exclusives for each console or, available for both.
What did I pull myself into...
Smoother gameplay(XBOX) or Better graphics(PSx)???

For the most part yeah. The game play is exactly the same, though the controls are horrendously bad, the game looks no where as good as the Wii U version, some Wii U game modes are gone and the online play is much worse (from my experience at least).
Yeah, Xenoblade Chronicles X (one of my most anticipated games since 2013), Star Fox Zero, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black, Fast Racing Neo, Super Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World and Devil's Third (the fact that Itakagi is behind it gives me hope) are exclusives that are coming out this year. Next year there is Zelda U and SMT x Fire Emblem.
Personally, I'm about to get a PS4. Like everyone is saying look for the console with the exclusives you like the most, the graphics really don't make that much of a difference and from what I've been told gameplay and online are similar for both.
Another idea is to switch to whatever system you didn't previously own (so from X360 to PS4 or PS3 to XBone) that way you can try out series you haven't gotten much time with before. This is especially true with the Backwards Compatibility for the XBone.
I'm switching from 360 to PS4 and can't wait to try out Infamous, Uncharted, Little Big Planet and Heavy Rain.
I'm going to get both at some point, but I'll probably wait for the end of the console generation to get one of them, like I did when I bought my PlayStation 3. I'll probably end up getting the PlayStation 4 first this time, as it has the games I most want to play (Shenmue 3, Grim Fandango Remastered, Amplitude, Tearaway Unfolded).

PS4 but both consoles are good.
I say, look at the exclusives and see which one you like best.

Also Xbox one has Phil Spencer
This is so hard.. Idk which one to choose:(
My friends are either on 360 or Xb1, so that's what I'm on.

I still have my trustworthy Ps3 but if I could choose I would pick Ps4... I don't like Xbox but each to their own opinion...
I will be getting an Xbox1 what they showed at E3 made me think it will only get better in the years to come.

EDIT : oops
get out.
EDIT: That's right.

Why not a steam box

Omg, you mentioned WiLD. I'm so curious about it. I hope it doesn't get canceled or anything.
I perfer PS4.
Because

Let's hope so. Michel Ancel is so secretive about it. But that doesn't have to be a bad sign.
What? The wii u is pretty laughable. Nintendo has pretty much given up on it. As seen from the E3 conference.
720p? Most Xbox one games are 900p. Ethier way I can't tell the difference between 900p and 1080p.
Depends on the kinds of games and exclusives you like. Me personally, I would go with the PS4.

Xbox 1 if you want to play original 360 games on it in the near future. There's also Halo or Dead Rising (if you're into those game franchises).
3DS version is watered down isn't it?
Why laugh? Until NX, there is gonn'be more games coming out. And most games on Wii U are awesome.
And, the new Zelda game.
For the most part yeah. The game play is exactly the same, though the controls are horrendously bad, the game looks no where as good as the Wii U version, some Wii U game modes are gone and the online play is much worse (from my experience at least).
