I feel so sorry for Swery, he obviously put so much effort and passion into it.
The game is all wrong for the market of Xbox 1, he should have gone with Sony, they appreciate weird and creative niche games and might have actually bothered to promote it.
Judging the way it did, it probably would've had a better chance if it were on both systems and PC. But no, always have to be exclusive with these types of games.

-Murdered: Soul Suspect: basically a much better Beyond Two Souls. Just don't buy it for forty bucks.
-The Cat Lady: Great soundtrack, co… morempelling story and cheap too!
-Deus Ex: Human Revolution: The best game I've played in a decade. I'm so happy it's getting a direct sequel.
I didn't say it wasn't fun, I just said that with a better plot it would have been better, minecraft isn't supposed to have real characters or a real story (well, that was before Telltale), Dishonored is.
No one plays Minecraft for the characters either. The gameplay and stealth are really what makes it fun, that and having so many ways to go through the missions.
Played the shit out of this game
This franchise was a big thing back in the PS1 days, you barely hear something from it nowadays.
… more
Don't know why some people dislike this game, it's awesome
This is a masterpiece, you have to play it
Beautiful game
Oh gee, I love that game so much because of Connor. He has so much hidden depths to him unapparent to the average gamer. Such a shame. (Seriously, I really want to write a looong essay of that dude because there's so much to say. I'm playing ac4 right now, yet ac3 still ranks above all other assassin creed games I've played.
Totally, I loved FFXII. I liked it a lot better than anything since VIII. Speaking of which, VIII got a lot of crap at the time, but I still really liked it.
People call this the worst Final Fantasy game, but I had tons of fun with it.
I haven't seen many people praise this game, not because it was bad, but because it wasn't very well known, Dark Souls took the spotlight instead.
Bumping this old thread since I just thought of some more games and because I saw the Most overrated thread and thought of this thread lol.
Here is a game I think is very underrated and is one of my more favorite games. It has an interesting story and great characters and also had alternate choices and endings:
Here another game I think is underrated. State of Decay is everything Walking Dead Survival Instinct should have been in my opinion. Decent sized in game map, fun gameplay, permanent deaths and pretty good story and you scavenged and helped defend your home from hoards and you could recruit people to your community. Overall very good game with the only thing lacking would be co-op.
Sleeping Dogs (amazing story and characters, great gameplay)
Mass Effect 3 (okay the ending sucked, but the rest of the game is awesome! and the multiplayer was really a cool addition that worked better than I thought it would)
Dragon Age 2 (not by any means a great game, but it still had interesting characters and a great personality for Hawke)
Spore (I feel like this is another one of those games that people only disliked because they expected it to be mind-blowing, and instead it was just good)
Bioshock 2 (no where near as good as the 1st or 3rd but still a great game.)
I dont get the hate the music is awesome the gameplay is fun the levels are pretty cool the story aint the best story i have ever seen but its ok its not bad i love shadow the hedgehog i have just started playing it recently and its good i may be in the minority here but i love this game i love the heck out of it and its dark themes
It might be my unpopular opinion,but I think most of Telltale games are underrated just because they are role-playing games.I mean this kind of games are less played by gamers ,which makes role playing games unknown for most of players.
I actually think TPS deserved all the hate it got, it was short, it had a shitty plot the mechanics were just a copypaste from BL2 and it had no respawning bosses at the start (which is completely fucking retarded for a bl game and should never, EVER even come to mind to anyone involved into developing such a game, they literally had no idea what the fanbase actually wanted).
The DLC (the ONLY campaign DLC, the others were trash) and the buttslam mechanic (which some people hated) are its only redeeming features imo, but most people quit he game once they realized it was short, most legendaries were BL2 legendaries, had no respawnale bosses and didn't introduce anything worthwhile to the mechanics. it would've been better as an expansion.
I persoanlly didn't dislike it, but i can totally see why BL2 fans hated it (and why it was such a colossal failure compared to bl2), the only hatred it didn't deserve was due to Pitchford (and the gearbox lead writer to some extent) being absolutely terrible at PR, which alienated some fans.

* Bayonetta
* Haunting Ground
* Rule of Rose (hardly anyone knows of this game, FFS)
* The Fatal Frame series
* Dark Cloud
* Ico
* Sword of Mana
* The Devil Survivor series
Telltale Game aren't RPGs bro, but I do think that they are underrated to an extent because a lot of people don't see them as games and just as virtual novels

Valkyria Chronicles, Final Fantasy IX.
All of Telltale's games prior to The Walking Dead.
Why not? It has Kevin Spacey in it.
I loved it too. But it's reviews were always mixed.
Judging the way it did, it probably would've had a better chance if it were on both systems and PC. But no, always have to be exclusive with these types of games.
Very good game indeed. The same goes for it's predecessor Heavenly Sword - great characters, impressive cutscenes and humour too.
The last one is far from being underrated.

I really wouldn't consider Ico, Mario Sunshine or Brothers as underrated. They're really popular.
Great hack and slash PS2 game set in ancient Rome. Probably got overshadow by God Of War coming out at around the same time.
He's right you know.
Bully
The Darkness
I know but I had so much fun on vita swinging around the city in the game :P
So many

I'm going to say it. I'm going to sayyy ittttt.---
Telltale's Tales From The Borderlands.
What? It's true.
Totally, I loved FFXII. I liked it a lot better than anything since VIII. Speaking of which, VIII got a lot of crap at the time, but I still really liked it.
Army of two: the devils cartel. Hell the whole series is underrated IMO
Damn double postShakes fist
Always Sometimes Monsters. Don't think anyone else said it yet.
No one really talks about Bioshock 2 that much, but I think it was the best of the 3
I ADORE this, this game is a masterpiece I completed on vita one of the best vita games on playstation
I'm playing through the first one at the moment, on Steam. And its pretty damn good.
Everyone should play that game. Our choices really matter and it's really good to see the different outcomes. We kinda create our own story :P
WORMS! No ones ever bloody playing Worms online!
It's honestly such a good game. I wish it was more well-known.

Don't know if this is one has been mentioned this yet but I loved Alpha Protocol, it's a flawed game but with a great storyline and characters.
That's one of my fav zombie games
Bro, do you know what RPG's are lol? Telltale games aren't RPG's.
Love Dark Cloud!
how is Bayonetta underrated? It got a sequel
Telltale Game aren't RPGs bro, but I do think that they are underrated to an extent because a lot of people don't see them as games and just as virtual novels
Deadlight was an amazing game, definitely underrated.
Again, another great game that I loved. The only thing it was missing was hostile survivors based on your actions with them.
