Original SH, I love it but right now it has awful controls & camera.
We're at a Semi-Agreement there, While I will say the Camer… morea was shitty, I LOVED the Controls in old Horror games like that, It gave me a HUGE sense of fear and excitment!

I don't know, I think it holds out pretty well, Compared to the shitty horror games we get now-a-days Such as Slender, Resident Evil 5, and Alone in the Dark (360)
SM on the other hand is a great reimagining.
Reimagining? Yes. Not a remake though, It does not follow ANYTHING that happened in the Original game, and I guess that's kind of what made me dislike it. I will say however, the UFO ending made me laugh really hard. It was the one true ending to whatever the hell happened in that game.
The story is great and the controls are smooth.

I much prefer the film version of Forrest Gump over the original novel.
I prefer the Aerosmith version of Come Together over the Beatles original (although I like The Beatles version too, as well as Michael Jackson's).
I prefer the VGA CD version of Monkey Island over the original EGA and VGA floppy versions (especially when used with the fan patch that fixes bugs, adds the speech and music from the special editions, and restores the stump joke).
I prefer the musical remake of Little Shop of Horrors over the low budget cult film, The Little Shop of Horrors (although I prefer the fact that Jack Nicholson's pain loving character had his tooth operated on by Seymour as opposed to the remake where Bill Murray's pain loving character has his tooth operated on by the mad dentist). The musical is even more enjoyable now that the original, dark ending that was used in the Off-Broadway production was restored and the film can now be watched the way its creators intended.
So apparently we can also do songs that were covered by other artists. In that case, Metallica's Turn the Page, Bob Seger's original version is great and all, but Metallica adds their own touch to the track and it really enhances it.

Well, of course SH holds up compared to other bad horror games such as Alone in the Dark(360) And I am still not sur… moree if SM is a re-imagining or a remake or mixture of both. As for this game I don't think it has a place in the timeline. What I mean by that is SH1 and SH2 and etc. are in the same canon but SM has it's own canon. I think that's why it is confusing. But the end made me cry.
