Did you hate Terminator: Genisys?

I sure as hell didn't. It was enjoyable, mind-fucking and it felt like T2/T1

What do you think?

  • I went in with really low expectations and ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would, I thought it was better than Rise of the Machines and Salvation but not as good as the first 2. It had a lot of flaws but to enjoy it, you just have to sit back and not over think it.

  • Of course.

It was Really shitty. And from what I Have seen, I'm gonna have to agree. You see, here's the thing with me and Time travel movies. I love them, They're amazing, But they NEED to make sense, otherwise, I cringe watching it. From what I've taken from the plot, John Connor comes up with a New plan, and Sends a T-800 back to Kill the T-800 who attacked Sarah and Killed Kyle in T1. Now, That sounds damn cool and all, But... What the f^^king F^^k?!

My first Problem I have with this, So-Called, "Movie", Is the Name. I have Extreme OCD when it comes to a lot of things. Spelling is one of them. Look, I'm all for calling it, "Genesis", That's fine, But when you Purposely Mis-spell the title to appeal to the, "Hip and Happenin' Crowd.", We're gonna have some f^^king problems. "Genisys"?! Are you god damn Kidding me?! That's like a 7 Year old doing a Homeschool test of the First book of the Bible, and I would know! Because When I was 7, I was doing a Test about Genesis, and I spelled it "Genisys". WHO IS THEIR MARKETING DIRECTOR, AND WHY DOES HE HAVE A JOB?!

My second Problem, is The Time Travel thing. When it comes to time travel, I get pretty pissed off when they do the wrong thing in Time Travel. For example, Dragon Ball Z: Season 4 and 5. Trunks traveled through time to Alter the past, Which is cool, But when Trunks did it, He created a second Universe. That way, His time is the same way as it was when he left. That my friends, Is the Multiverse Theory. (I believe that's the name.), and That theory, is For every time you time travel, whatever you change, Creates an alternate Timeline. That is the only way I know Time Travel. Now, No where, and I mean, NO WHERE, In the Movie, did I hear anyone Once mention the Multiverse theory. Meaning If the T-800 went back and killed the T-800 the was supposed to Kill Sarah and Kyle, then it should have been shown in the First movie, and it Should have changed the next 3. Meaning Terminator: Genisys's lack of Explanation for Time Travel, Pretty much means the Other 4 movies never existed. They were all what if things. Now tell me if I'm wrong, Because To be honest, I was too busy being angry to pay attention to a lot things that happened in the movie, So if they Mentioned how it works, Please don't hesitate to let me know. Anyway, Without the Multiverse theory, It is f^^king stupid to Do that, Because the would Negate the fact that T1, T2, T3 and TS ever existed in the first place.

Overall, It was just shit. I hated every second of it, and I would have rather watched Shigeru Myamoto cut a Jig, and then say he's cancelled All current working Games, and he's gonna make CoD games, then watch that movie again.

And by far I don't get your argument. Title is stupid so that makes you hate this movie? Lack of explanation? Read this article and see it for yourself.

  • Hmm, I believe I said more than the title was the problem, and I believe opinions play into it... But... Forget it

  • Okay, I read the article, Thank you very much for linking that. It clears a lot of things up for me. But I still didn't like it very much. I enjoyed Terminator 2 and Terminator: Salvation a lot more.

  • I like how Lee Byung Hun was the T-1000. I think it's nice that a psychopathic supercomputer bent on the destruction of humanity still values diversity.

  • Thanks a lot for stating your opinions. I loved Genisys and T2 but never really T3 neither TS.

  • I liked parts of it. I liked the action and the humor. But I hated the plot. The performances and special effects were pretty hit and miss for me. I give it a 5/10.

  • I'm seeing it tonight. I'm not going in optimistically though.

  • I hope you'll like it.

  • Go in with REALLY low expectations and you'll at least not hate it completely.

  • It was alright, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be as a matter of fact. I didn't watch any form of trailer or anything before the film came out. I saw the trailers just today and... wow, they pretty much ruin it.

  • Hmm. What would you rate it out of ten?

  • It was pretty ok, they overused the "Old" line, like holy shit they used it like 10 times

  • It was confusing. I didn't like how there was a time spilt with a universe having cell phones. Also making John into a machine was weird. That was REALLY confusing. I think the Arnold scenes were fun to watch though.
