Me too but that's because i haven't seen W8s full performance. I just saw the start menu and desktop and thought to myself, this is so messed up. to those who are have Windows 8, when you play 3d games, does it slow down the fps more than Windows 7?

    Windows 7.

Before I tried the Windows 10 preview, I would have said Windows 7, as I really didn't like Windows 8 (although installing Classic Menu helped a lot).

Now though, I have to say I really like Windows 10. It runs everything so smoothly. It's actually the best experience I've ever had running Windows, and I've been using Windows since 3.1. :P

  • is it stable? many people are still claiming it's too early. they say it's still raw.

It is in my experience. I've never had any problems with it, and I run it 24/7. All of the other versions of Windows I've used (except for Windows 3.1, as it was just a shell) would clog up in memory and slow down after running Windows continuously for a week or so. I've had my computer running Windows 10 preview non stop for a few months, and my computer is still running smoothly.

I also haven't spotted any compatibility issues yet. It's run every application I've wanted to use (even the pre-Windows 7 programs such as Multimedia Fusion 2) and I've had no problems with any games in my Steam or GOG.com library. I'm really happy with it.

  • I like Windows 8.1 and I'm staying on this one that way. My mom's and dad's computers are Windows 7, but they're about to upgrade to Windows 10 without my parents' knowledge.

  • I haven't experienced any slow downs on Windows 8. The only difficulty I've had with it was navigating through all the menu's.

  • Windows 7. Windows 7 is love. Windows 7 is life.

  • My old laptop used to run on Windows 7, but I bought Windows 8.1 for my new computer (which is ironically a MacBook Pro), and I must say I prefer that over Windows 7.

  • I have windows 8.1,

A few months ago, maybe six, i somehow turned off my number keys on my keyboard. I have a degree in Information Technology, so i took some time, researched the problem, and found out it had something to do with something called sticky Keys... Anyhow long story short, still can't use my number keys on my keyboard, i have to use the virtual keyboard for certain symbols ie the AT sign for email.

Other than that though Windows 8.1 has been ok i guess.

  • Windows 95 bitches, it never got any better.

  • At the start, I hated Windows 8. Confusing.

After a while, I saw it was a lot easier, both playing video games and managing files - and finding them.

The day I realized I had to get used to Windows 8 was the day I started ranting about it in front of my mother and telling her I wasn't going to learn some new way of Windows and it was ridiculous.

And she told me that she understood, because I was getting older and she's the same way with technology.

And I just looked at her like
