I know him and Green both like S2 over 1, but that is the only two people i can think of off the top of my head.

About the choice i didn't care TBH, because in my mind he shouldn't of been there to begin with, with him dying in S1 and all that.

This is an example of a very unique opinion.

  • I liked Kenny and Jane, so it was a pretty hard choice for me, because they both cared for Clementine in their own, maybe weird, ways. It was tough af

  • Ive said it before but obviously i couldn't shoot Kenny. Like someone said above, he's been around with Clem since the beginning, he got his eye bashed in for Clem otherwise it would have been her. The man has his faults, he has a short fuse, but hes not evil in my opinion and i could never kill him, especially since him and Lee had a bromance in my game!

The main reason I hate her is that she wanted me leave Sarah to die, my best friend and she caused her death. Jane never wanted to learn from her mistakes like her sister situation. I hate traitors, selfishers, manipulaters etc.

Why wouldnt you? Relationships are brief and build fast in an apocalypse. Clem didnt know any of them that long.

  • Wouldn't you agree that Kenny and Jane should have never appeared in S2?

Whoa, simmer down there Sally. You might get so angry you might sprout an eyepatch and go into a blind rage and get into a poorly-written fight ending in a life-or-death-situation at a rest stop! Wait, where have I heard that before.

Yeah he should not have even really been in s2 at all, and then to top it off nearly the whole season was centered around "Kenny".

  • Well in terms of leaving Sarah in the trailer, it's not like Jane kicked Sarah back into the trailer to her doom after you convince Sarah to get up. Jane actually helps Sarah out of there once you convince Sarah to go.

Jane never wanted to learn from her mistakes like her sister situation.

Whether she wanted to change or not, Jane's mentality did change from her original one. It was part of her arc to change, even though it was rushed and not written as well as it could have been.

If you let the timer run out after the observation deck collapsed when deciding to take Jane's hand or to ask her to save Sarah, Jane makes the decision on her own to save Sarah (a kid), without any more of your input.

If you let the timer run out when deciding or not to take Arvo's medicine, she lets Arvo keep his meds. Probably because she sees Arvo as a kid (a kid like Clem, Sarah, and Jaime) as she does indeed refer to him as a kid later.

If you let the timer run out when deciding to let in the family, Jane looks at the young boy Gil, (who I bet you also reminds her of Jaime, Sarah, and Clem) and decides to let them in. Look! I even finally found a video of it. It's confirmed the presence of Gil sways Jane's mind because Jane also says, "After looking at that kid, I wasn't sure if I could [turn them away.]" I'd definitely call that learning from her mistakes.

Yeah, she did that. But she blames Clem for not making a decision, I hate seeing everyone counting on Clem to do everything.

Or maybe because she doesn't want to upset Clem anymore after what she did to Kenny.

I still don't understand why she didn't use her gun to kill the walkers who were nearly coming. There is no way she was run out of ammo, I don't care if she didn't want to make noises cause there were already.

  • He got his eye bashed in for Clem though! That was pretty noble of him and what he did for her at the end of season 2 (determinant) made up for everything bad he did in my opinion. But the haters will never see it like that lol

I don't objectively like S2 more than S1, I just find them to be about on par with one another. That might just do with the fact that I find it very hard to be disappointed by... just about anything, really.

As far as I'm concerned, it's not exactly a rare opinion. In fact, that seems to be the general consensus for most people outside of this forum.

  • I don't think Clementine has a 'character' in Season 2, you shaped it yourself as Lee throughout Season 1 and now you're controlling it completely in Season 2.

I can understand choosing it to Save Jane. But if you choose it after letting him kill Jane, I think it goes completely against Clementine's character.

  • I agree with dan290786 leaving kenny was way sadder than killing him imo.

  • Do you actively dislike Season 2 or do you just consider it inferior to its predecessor? I personally feel that while Season 1 as a whole was much better than Season 2, I liked episode 2 and episode 5 (despite their issues) of Season 2 a lot more than I did of most of Season 1. Maybe it's just because I've played Season 1 3 times and Season 2 once and have had a chance to reflect more on the parts I dislike about Season 1.

Not really. Season 2 wasn't at all critically acclaimed or a contender for GOTY in 2014 (which was far weaker than 2012) and will age quickly

It might not be critically acclaimed like S1, but it sure as hell isn't critically panned either

Yeah, S2 didn't reach the same level of acclaim as S1 did, but it not being a GOTY contender isn't exactly a good metric to be judging it upon. S1 is, on average, a 9-9.5/10, while S2 sits at an 8-9/10. It's not some tremendous nose-dive like some people seem to believe. S1's just a few points high enough to be on the golden list, while S2 sits on the silver list, being a few points away from the gold. It's still regarded quite well by most standards, and it's not exactly in the range that would be considered 'mediocre' by most critical standards, at least as far as games are concerned.

  • I had to pause. He just tried to kill Jane without knowing how the baby disappeared. Maybe she tripped and dropped him in snow? Maybe he lost his plot armor and froze to death in her arms? But then again, Jane didn't have to test Kenny. Why would you provoke someone who gets mad easily and is well equipped with muscles? In the end... sort of shot him. ._.

Exactly! But for some reason, people enjoy conveniently forgetting every good, selfless thing Kenny ever did for Clementine, or for Lee. Or if you saved Ben, how he almost sacrifices himself to help someone he couldn't stand have a quicker, less painful death. I couldn't ever leave him behind or kill him, especially after he told Lee when he was bitten in my game that he would be with him until the end, bitten or not.

  • Here's how the final scene went.
I saw the fight, was pretty shocked, Kenny is pretty much beating the living shit out of Jane and has a knife to her neck, then i realized he is a loose cannon, even if i was his best friend as Lee AND Clementine AND agreed to go to Wellington i knew i had to finish him. So i shot him, he then started talking to Clem and i lost it when i chose the option to say "You'll reunite with Katjaa and Duck".

Then i heard A.J crying, i was shocked, then Jane reveals she planned it all along. She made me kill my favorite character AND put A.J in danger, i told her to fuck off and got to the worst ending possible.

I replayed the fight, let Kenny beat the shit out of Jane, WATCH as he stabs her and we go off to Wellington, then we go out of Wellington together.

To put it short, Jane is an idiot, Kenny is a badass. So i saved Kenny :3

  • Do you actively dislike Season 2 or do you just consider it inferior to its predecessor?

I don't dislike S2. To me it was average at best. Season 2 pretty much destroyed the seriousness of this game. I don't care what happens anymore, if CLementine died, it wouldn't bother me. I see S1 as a giant leap forward in gaming progression, i see S2 as a giant leap backwards, so we are now about where we started at this point, this is my opinion.

  • Pretty much this. I regretted shooting Kenny so much in the heat of the moment. Jane's selfish manipulations are HORRIBLE. I felt sick as Clementine sobbed "I forgive you Jane", it just felt wrong and awful. When I do a live playthrough someday, definitely not choosing that ending again.
