What mental journey did your Clementine go through in Season 2?

I'm not talking about the story itself. How did your Clementine personally change as a person throughout Season 2?

My Clementine, after Lee's death, was hopeful to survive with her new protectors Omid and Christa. After Omid's death, she became a much more distant and distrustful person (largely because I distrusted Telltale after killing off my favorite character within the first 10 minutes). As time progressed, she grew to like Luke, Rebecca and Pete, and somewhat cared for Sarah (she wasn't, however, willing to risk her life to save her if she became a liability). After all 3 died, she tried to trust Mike when he was finally leaving with Arvo (Bonnie died with Luke, and I personally didn't trust either Jane or Kenny) and attempted to go with him, but of course Arvo shot her. When it came to the bitter end, she had become a far more distant person after she had slowly recovered with her new friends throughout Season 2. All of her progress was gone and she was more distrustful than before. While she tried to break up the fight purely to have someone to help her survive, she realized both Jane and Kenny were too far gone and shot Kenny after he had stabbed Jane. Clementine, stronger and knowing not to trust anyone, walked alone into the horde of walkers with only A.J. to keep her going.

    She really didn't tbh

  • None at all, i don't consider her as my Clementine because she's no different than anyone else's.

Remember when people said #MyClementine as in the choices we made changed her

  • Yeah lol, i hope whoever we play as in S3 will actually change depending on your choices. Small dialogue differences isn't what tailoring the story by yours choices means.

If I had to sum up what my Clementine's mind went through in a short summary, it would be getting manhandled and thrown around a china shop by a heavyweight wrestling champion

  • I tried to keep her personality consistent from her actions in Season 1 and acted accordingly when it came to how she behave with others. I didn't really like the idea of #MyClementine, as I preferred that she remained her own character and not acted out how the players wanted her to behave.

  • which heavyweight wrestling champion though

i think i worded this wrongly judging by the responses. how did the way you PLAYED clementine change throughout season 2? (i.e. dialogue choices, survivalist/compassionate choices, etc.)

  • I like these threads. Here goes...

I hate static characters, so my Clementine changed quite a bit. She lost friends, innocence and trust. Yet she still found a reason to keep surviving. At first it was finding Christa, then looking out for Sarah, and finally taking care of AJ.

At least for me, Season 2 (and the latter half of Season 1) is the story of Clem's transformation from child to child soldier. By the end, she's much stronger and more cunning, but the cracks of battle fatigue are becoming ever more noticeable.
