Warren Spector discusses Telltale's products

Originally, I'd just posted the link. But after Clememen's post, I feel I should clarify my reasons for posting it. While I have partly posted it because Warren Spector gave his thoughts, it wasn't my primary reason for doing so. The primary reason is he discusses how he sees Telltale's products which happens to mirror much of my own thoughts. (And by that, I don't mean the praise part of his thoughts. Obviously though, I do like Telltale's products. I just mean the parts like where he makes the comparison of Telltale's products being the same as several movie scripts that converge. Also, that they're one single story and that I don't think Telltale are interested in wildly branching stories. You know, that sort of thing?)

  • Yeah... coming from Warren Spector... You guys remember Mr. Spector, right? The man notoriously known for the two worst Disney games on the market with terrible controls, level design and with it's camera angle in the toilet. Being called a good company by Warren Spector is like being called a good director by Uwe fucking Bowl lol

I suppose Deus Ex, System Shock and others don't matter at all? I never played those other games and don't know anything about them.

  • Deus Ex's success is the result of Ion Storm's and Harvey Smith's success. Spector on his own makes titles like Epic Mickey

  • I looked at the games he made and I didn't like anyone of them telltale is successful and his not maybe he should ask them for tips

imo Neil Drunkmann is a genius creator who perfected games in the way naughty dog make them, I would love to hear his opinion on telltale :)
