VG characters you hate the most?
This is basically going to be a thread to hate on VG characters you don't like.
After LIS Episode 4 it's gotta be Jefferson never wanted a vg character to die so painfully. I'll name a few more:
Bubsy: Oh my god! I hate this furry little asshole. If you have the composure or patience to play a disaster like Bubsy 3D then go check it out.
Kenny and Jane: They're both just terrible, awful people. I think TWD forums can sum this one up
Sephiroth: I don't care what people say he's always been overrated. Kefka>>>>>>>>>>> Sephiroth

Zero in Grand Theft Auto; San Andreas. Fuck every fiber of his being.
This motherfuckers "Nooooooooooo!" will live forever in my brain as the worst sound ever created by manking. Fuck his stupid toy-based missions, fuck his stupid voice, fuck his stupid glasses, fuck his stupid store, and fuck his stupid-god damned-motherfuckin' toy planes.
Just...fuck him.
Chloe in Life is Strange, I've already said why I don't like her, and I'm sure others are tired of me saying it so I'll just leave it at that.
Jimmy Jenkins from Borderlands 2. As a achievement hunter, hunting for this bastard for a very long time I grew to hate him. Freakin random luck spawn.
Of course Kenny is up there, what an evil face he has.
Never will Grand Theft Auto replicate such a deplorable sub-human antagonist like they did with Dimitri.
A rapist? Check. A bully? Yup. And now add on to that he murders innocent people? Wow, he couldn't be much more of a shitbag.
Dimitri? Over Tenpenny? That's a first lol
Tenpenny wasn't a traitorous liar who double crosses everyone only to get his way. He was pretty up-front about his assholeness.
In fairness we don't know if Nathan raped them or anything sexual like that, but it's not like he does much better.
Didn't he try to rape Chloe? I had thought she said he drugged her and tried to take advantage of her before she fled.
I'd buy you a poster of Kenny for your birthday if i could hahaha!
To the OP, i agree with you that Kefka is >>>> than Sephiroth! He was a brilliant, crazy ass villain and the only Final Fantasy antagonist to successfuly destroy the world!
Video game characters that I loathe outside Telltale? That's a hard one, since there aren't that many characters I truly despise:
This incarnation of Dante not only lacks charisma, his general attitude is uncouth, vulgar, and contemptuous. He's so unlikable that I find myself rooting for the villains when compared to DmC: Devil May Cry's Dante.
His role in Metroid: Other M diminishes the main leading character's prominence in her own game, treats Samus condescendingly and abusively both emotionally and physically, and is yet looked up as one of the most admirable commanders of all time when his actions suggests otherwise.
Lymle from Star Ocean 4, award for most annoying voice. Aigis from Persona 3, award for most needless robot. Cait Sith from FF7, traitor award. Oddjob from goldeneye, award for most unfair character model.
No she just said he had a camera and was crawling toward her.
Usually when someone drugs you, takes you to a secluded area alone, and is crawling toward you with a camera while you're barely conscious. That can still be seen as sexual assault, Nathan is still a fucking weird perv so he still is one of my personal hated characters.
Ellie from The Last Of Us
If you know me at all, then you would know why I hate Ellie, pretty self explanatory.
Porky Earthbount
FUCK THIS GUY. FUCK HIS EXISTENCE. FUCKING FUCK.
Chloe Price Life Is Strange
Jesus christ, she's annoying, needy, impulsive, rude, and much more. I REALLY hate her.
There are more game characters I hate but I do not want to list TOO many, otherwise i'll be here all day.
Ryan, from Beyond: Two Souls. This guy is a douche. Treats Jodie like shit, but then becomes a love interest later in the game? Yeah, no.
His missions were the most annoying missions in GTA history. I mean why all the theatrics when I can just go and shoot down his competition and get it over with!? >:/
GTA is supposed to be stealing, killing, and racing. Not Toy Story: War Edition.
Well Zero from GTA San Andreas as evidenced from above.
Steve Haines and Devin Weston from GTA V.
That government bastard that caused John Marston and Uncle's deaths in RDR.
David from Last of Us.
Nathan Prescott and another individual in Life Is Strange.
Can't remember anymore. But I know there's more.
Why do you hate Ellie?
Yeah whatever you can hate me if you want, but I freaking hate Clementine. Season 2 Clementine anyways.
TL;DR version: She's annoying, rude, brash, swears too much for someone that age.
Fair enough
So, because she cusses, that's a reasonable quality to hate her? Umm... k.
Dammit James...
I wanna join! I wanna join! All aboard the hate train! Woo Woo!
You do have eyes don't you? There is more than 1 reason. Also, I did say that's a TL;DR version, I would write a big essay as to why I hate her, but I know 100% that this would start another debate, and I don't want fanboys telling me that my opinion is wrong again.
I swear people hate weirdest characters... Clementine, Ellie... wtf.
To be fair on Ellie, the world has ended long ago, she's born in an apocalyptic universe and is more or less raised to be a child soldier all her life, and is surrounded by grown ups who have along abandoned their morals to stay alive and have no concern for social manners and ethics.
Compared to many characters we meet in The Last of Us, Ellie is rather well adjusted.
To all Clementine fans, I apologise in advance, but I'm not a big fan of S2 Clementine either. Then again, I don't hate her either, just indifferent.
Voiced by David Cross. Immune to hate.
^ savage (not)
SHE'S THE DEVIL (Chloe)
You beat me to it, god I hate her so much.
I do, yes. I think you're the one without 'em since you failed to see I had corrected myself by saying a reasonable quality. And "fanboyism" has nothing to do with the fact that listing cussing as a repugnant reason to hate a character is absolutely ridiculous. In the case of the setting, it makes perfect sense why she uses swearing as an outlet to vent herself.
The Last of Us is set in a post apocalyptic hellscape, not Disneyland.
You wanna know who was probably the most well adjusted person in the game? Tommy. Blessed be his name. Tommy is the only reason why I didn't stop playing the game completely.
Apparently having one or two pseudo annoying qualities is reason enough to hate a character that is literally a protagonist/deuteragonist and is not harmful to the player character.
And there's people ready to defend characters like Nathan Prescott while shitting on Chloe Price or something ridiculous like that.
I don't see how swearing every 5 seconds it's an "acceptable" thing in the apocalypse. Like, I get the world has ended, but why exactly is there some need to swear like a sailor? Even when I'm stressed I never, ever swear. Same with most people I know. (In real life, at least. I can't say the same on the internet.)
The most hated characters are often ones that are intended to be liked, hateable villans are hard as you're expected to hate them, people dont go overboard with their dislike. However characters you are forced to be around and apparently like means people bring them up more.
As I said, it's a way of venting. Just because you don't cuss doesn't mean it's wrong if other people see it as an acceptable outlet to let go of some of their emotions.
I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm saying that there are other ways of venting. The swearing in this game, it's a bit excessive. I usually don't give a crap about swearing, but damn. It's kind of annoying to hear the word "Shit" or "Fuck" every time a character opens their mouth. (Slight exaggeration there, but you get what I mean.)
Its really as there is nothing to care about, she just feels emotionally flat plus her attitude to the majority of the characters is pretty much pre determined.
I find it varies on the episode though
