  • cough Smash Bros and Mario Kart... cough cough

    But yes I agree.

Yes. There's many great games on it, and much better exclusives than on the other consoles.

  • Exactly, I jumped on the system upgrades way too late, so I am in a bad position considering it's upgrading next year.

I do play online, but if I have to pay for it I will live without it.

Do we know when the NXT (or whatever) is suppose to come out? I guess it's worth getting if you primarily want those types of games. One t

  • I just want a new fun gaming system to enjoy while I go off to my first year at my university. And I've always felt Nintendo games have the best replay value as well as just being good for mood lifting. But I understand where you're coming from. I just hope the Wii U holds up as well as my own Wii has and will. I still play it quite frequently.

They are already talking about their next platform. Personally, I think it's too late to jump into the Wii U. They'll be really cheap in a few years.

  • Yeah, it really took until this year for me to jump on the Wii U bandwagon. It was less than a year ago Smash Bros was released, and I'm dying to play it and Mario Kart 8. Plus I love Bayonetta, and Star Fox Zero will be out later this year. I'm gonna go ahead and spring for it, but I'll be getting a Xbox One this November so I can have something else later as well. TBH I'm not completely sold on the PS4 yet. What is convincing you to spring for it?

Well i was gonna buy the Wii U when i travel back to USA, but then i started reading reviews for the Wii U and it was getting a lot of hate

  • Uhm, Nintendo never admitted that it was a failure.

  • What do you mean? I have Smash 4 (which is all I play) but it came with Super Mario 3D World (it's meh IMO, I barely played any of it) and Nintendoland (which I haven't touched since it doesn't interest me :P)

What other games did you have before?

  • Oh I thought you had other games before and traded them all in and only own Smash now. Just trying to get more game suggestions. :)

  • It's only worth buying if you can see yourself enjoying at least 5 games on it. But imo it's definitely worth it. The only problem I have with the Wii U at the moment is that it won't charge.

  • Personally I would say yes just because of Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. lol But I am looking forward to games like playing Bayonetta 1 and 2, also Star Fox Zero and Yooka Laylee, and then there's Hyrule Warriors I want to try out. So, yeah I can see myself playing like 5 games. lol

But that doesn't sound good, will you have to buy an all new game pad?

  • Well it has more next gen games on the PS4, like Infamous second son. and it has more of the story games like Uncharted, The Last Of Us. you know cool games.

  • No the game pad comes with the Wii U.

And yes Nintendo does make good games on the Wii U. But they take...so long to make.

  • Considering that the NX (new system) is already being planned, I would just wait for that. Or you could buy it just for the new Zelda like all my dumb friends are doing.

  • Okay I got cha.

And I know, they just took so long to have all their good franchise games to come out for this system.

  • I wouldn't be buying it for just one game, I have a few in mind. And if I want the NX I'll just trade in the Wii U if I really want it.
