I believe in the theoretical possibility of them existing, but do not factually believe they exist. Mostly.
Yeah, and I'd like to believe it's just like the Mass Effect series.
I think they do somewhere, but I definitely don't think they're as ugly as everyone thinks they are
Of Course. There's no way humans are alone in the universe.
Yes. I like to believe that some of the extrasolar planets that are beyond are reach (which is actually all of them) have life.
Of course.
Yup.
No i don't believe in that stuff, not ghosts or aliens. To me is something i like in movies, comics, games. But i don't believe any of that crap.
As Daishi said I think they possibly exist in theory but in any form of reality no.
Which I think is fair, right? There's a theoretical chance but we don't have any actual evidence. Obviously, if new evidence to the contrary were presented, I'd be willing to revise my stance.
Yeah
No.
I feel like it doesn't make sense for Earth to be the only planet that has living life on it. I consider it as a possibility but I can't say I believe there are aliens.
Earth has living creatures, so... So a different planet out there might.
Absolutely, it's impossible that they don't exist. Although I do not believe any have ever interacted with or came to Earth. Alien life might not be intelligent, it'll likely be microbes and such although some planets may have animals. I 100% believe they exist, it's foolish not to but I have doubt as to whether or not other intelligent civilizations exist.
It would be scary if we were...
Of course, why would only 1 planet of the Quantillions out there be the only one with life? Also why do people keep assuming that just because everything on planet Earth requires Oxygen and Water means that in order for other planets to have life they have to have the exact same or similar environments to Earth?
I believe life exists outside of Earth, after the Universe is theoretically infinite, however I do not believe that extraterrestrial life has come to Earth even once, that seems improbable.
I find it impossible that, with all the planets in habitable zones of all the systems in all the galaxies in the whole ridiculously enormous universe, the only planet where life happened was this one. It is a matter of time until we find evidence of life in other planets.
I definitely believe there is live outside of our planet, there are way too many stars, galaxies and other solar systems out there for there not to be some sort of other life form even if it's very basic. What i am unsure about is if people have really been abducted by aliens as some stories seems slightly weird and don't have any proof.
I'd be surprised if there wasn't another form of intelligent life in the universe. While there's no evidence that they do exist, I find it hard to believe that only one planet out of a seemingly infinite number.
Recently, we discovered a new planet that might have Earth-like conditions. That planet alone holds so many possibilities. What about millions of planets?
Yes I believe in aliens. Maybe they created us :P
It's not really a question of belief. There might be life outside of the observable universe.
I'm a 100% sure we're NOT the only ones in this great Universe. Aliens exist, but they are nothing like what people imagine them to be.
I believe that such is an almost definite possibilty, given the number of planets estimated to exist within our own galaxy and beyond. Alas, I do not think direct contact with them is possible, nor should it be for the sake of our and their species. One just needs to look back at what European exploration did to indigenous races of other lands (introduction of disease, wars over land, "lost" generations, etcetera) to see what I mean when I say it should not happen. As for how it is impossible, the closest supposedly habitable planet to us outside of our solar system (Tau Ceti e) is approximately 11.905 lightyears away from us. Thus, the chances of actual direct contact is indescribably minute.
It depends on what we're talking about it here.
I don't think there's truly intelligible life outside of our own little science experiment gone wrong, but it has been proven that there are bacteria and fungi that exist outside of Earth. So just a couple more hundred million years and maybe there will be some kind of organic life that will sustain itself on Mars after humans are long gone.
If there are, I hope they're xenomorphs.
If we, along with every other life form on earth, managed to survive and evolve on Earth, then there is probably in the entirety of the universe another habitable planet on which life has florished. As to if we got visited, I'm not quite sure.
I don't believe in aliens - I find it statistically impossible that there not be life on other planets.
As Carl Sagan said, “if we are alone in the universe, then it is an awful waste of space”
gotta be.
Except aliens are nothing like ghosts. The only similarity is that they are used for horror stories, but whereas aliens are extremely scientifically possible.
I do. I also hate that this question may never be answered in my lifetime, especially since I'm a big Astronomy/Cosmology fan.
