GMOs are bad. Food doesn't need to be genetically altered. When food has it's genes altered and people ingest it, it affects cells and causes health problems like cancer and sterility.
I'm not going to argue, because it's rather pointless. But seriously if you compare wild and domesticated plants and animals, you'll see that their genotypes are different, or one can say, modified. There are no valid scientific works proving that GMO food causes cancer or sterility. I agree that such food must be marked, and people will choose with their eyes open.

It's not pointless to argue. The simple fact is, food has no reason and no need to be genetically altered. It doesn't make the food better, it mutates them. And once people understand that eating mutated food = mutated cells in the body = health problems, then it's a completed argument. Companies like Monsanto and the FDA can hire whatever scientists they want and tell the public that GMOs aren't bad, but they're not telling the truth. And they do this because they care more about making money than protecting the public's health. Lots of info about the dangers of GMOs exist across the web. But it should be common sense that GMOs are bad.

Ok. Just explain me: how can food, containing, for example, bacterial gene, mutate your cells after you ate it? The DNA, the proteins etc. are processed in the gastrointestinal tract to small molecules, aminoacids and nucleotides, that are absolutely natural and are not mutagenic. The only problem this food can cause is an allergy, because it is new for the organism.
I've studied bioengineering, and of course every new product must be tested. But GMO aren't bad as a concept. I do not know much about those companies being a foreigner, but all the profs at my university were totally pro-GMO.

The human body finds places to store food's nutritional contents. If a certain gene is put into the food by scientists then it is a foreign gene and can go into a place where it shouldn't be. This gene can then disrupt the surrounding cells and cause them to grow improperly(tumors). Or cause allergies like you say. The body may just fight back against it and resolve the problem, though. Maybe if the bacterial gene is completely natural and functions properly, then it might not be a danger. But I don't think most 'new' genes put into food aren't tested enough to know it's true safety and effects in the body. GMOs seem like a great concept, but everyone should be more aware if it is. I believe it's mostly not safe.

That's true. But the bacterial gene, for example, that's put into GMO corn acts as an insecticide. I don't think that something meant to kill organisms is something the human body needs...
It should be tested -first on cell cultures, then on animals, then on volunteers. It is a long way, but considering all the men who got nothing to eat, it is worth it. It is the future. We just have to proceed carefully.

Definitely have a salary cap for members of society who have ridiculous amounts of money who have trillions and billions while there are people who starve on the street over a certain amount of billions they should donate the rest to the poor imo we would solve world hunger in no time
Every decision or law by the government brought in it's people can decide to have vote on it(my countries government raised their pensions this year and gave us water charges without a vote the people should get to bring back up these decisions for vote)
Free psychology therapy for anyone seriously struggling and more funding to have it always available for all
Treat children like individuals and dictate their school work around that give them the essential lessons like math, english, history etc but also ask them their dreams and ambitions cater to their needs and wants offer more sport to people who want to be athletes, offer more drama for children who want to be actors, politics or psychology for people who want that. Let school teach them exactly what they need but also want to learn to maximize their potential make school a place where kids can go to fulfill their dreams not get depression etc
WE NEED A BATMAN random billionaire train the greatest fighter in the world and make a hero pls
I think the government should take 1% out of everyone income each year and use it to offer basic meals, housing and clothes to anyone who needs it
While I've got no problem with people saving money for their own use, if someone has millions of dollars that they probably won't use at all, then that money should be given to people who need it.
And I can't agree more about education. I think we should also be teaching children WHY they need to learn this stuff, because my entire school experience has been "Do this work because I say so and don't question me."
We're not raising kids to think for themselves or make their own choices, but we're teaching them to be part of the machine that is society, in my opinion.

Well for some reason , Bill Gates is trying to help rebuild the african continent. What i don't understand is why is he helping them, why not Murica, we got tons of problems. From Race Relations, to homelessness, plus obama is giving enough money to africa.
Well, the rich in the US don't seem to be doing much to help the country. What about Donald Trump? If more rich people gave what they earned, America wouldn't have to resort to the lies of trickle-down economics which, in reality and practice, only serve classes with money and force the poor into labor when people with said money should be providing for the less fortunate.
I think it's good what Gates is doing. He has the money and it's great that he's spending it outside his own selfish interests, unlike others in society. He's not obligated to serve his own country, but the money would be more evenly distributed if more was taken off his paycheck once a year, and it would greatly help the state the US is in now. At this point in their economy, the poor get poorer and the rich stay rich, but if giving money to people who didn't have it was mandatory, the country wouldn't be stuck in its own bubble of injustice and greed. What you earn should reflect on that, and wouldn't leave people who are already unable to live fulfilling lives in debt / wouldn't leave the overwhelmingly rich with enough money to throw to the wind.

Dude, nothing is for free, if you want a free psychology session then try to convince the psychologist to give you one for free. Money doesn't grow on trees, treating a dangerous infectious disease like hepatitis C from tax payers money makes sense as the whole society benefits, psychology isn't even treating anyone, if you have a mental disorder you need a psychiatrist.

That is why there will never be a perfect society. Human Greed. Have you noticed the amount of homelessness increase in the last ten years? Its a lot worse than it has ever been. Do you know who else has that stance on illegal immigration? All Republican candidates. However, the problem is that Trump hires the illegals and then says they're all rapists and that it's a Mexican conspiracy.

That is why there will never be a perfect society. Human Greed.
It would definitely make it harder to achieve an ideal society, but greed can be overcome with justice, and it is possible. In Scandinavian countries where socialistic values are issued, there is reportedly less greed, and there usually isn't a risk of people being treated unjustly, like they are in the US. In Norway, 6,259 people were homeless in 2012 (1.26 per 1000 people), with percentages steadily declining since then. Now compare these rates to the United States, where on a single night in January 2013, more than 610,042 people were experiencing homelessness. As a whole, 1.6 to 3.5 million people are homeless, including 2,483,539 children.
at least Trump realises that illegals got to go
Is that really a country the US wants to be? If you live in the country, you should have the same rights as any other American, regardless of legal status, including financial and medical aid, social security and welfare. It is unfair to arrest millions of undocumented immigrants, especially those seeking money to feed their families back home. What kind of example is that teaching other countries - that if you aren't high enough status you aren't welcome in a country that pledges "liberty and justice for all"?
Should welfare be available to people who need it? Of course, but should they make steps to curb welfare abuse? Yes.
Of course, but making welfare laws stricter will not help the issue, and could potentially prevent people who really need it from receiving it. It's true that a large amount of welfare-users collect cheques because of reasons that can be helped, so the government shouldn't cut down on welfare but actually help users get back on their feet in a working environment. This could be done by simply helping people develop strategies for finding employment, or by providing necessary therapy and one-on-one counseling to find the underlying cause of their need for welfare in the first place. Simply running a drug test, considering them unworthy of financial aid and sending them on their way won't curb the abuse of welfare.
That is why there will never be a perfect society. Human Greed. Have you noticed the amount of homelessness increase in the last ten years… more? Its a lot worse than it has ever been. Should welfare be available to people who need it? Of course, but should they make steps to curb welfare abuse? Yes.
Haven't been following the debates lately, but here's my stance: Your first priority as a government is your own people =, not those from another country. Yes, it sucks what some people in poorer countries have to go through, but people in America have their own issues. If someone has a legitimate reason for not being able to earn a living, then they're entitled to welfare. But if someone can't give a good reason for not having a job and contributing to society, then they have no right to the money that people need.
That is why there will never be a perfect society. Human Greed. Have you noticed the amount of homelessness increase in the last ten years… more? Its a lot worse than it has ever been. Coming from someone who is mentally ill and struggles to pay for therapy because I don't happen to come from a wealthy family, it's hard. You feel alone and as though you don't deserve treatment because your wallet isn't conveniently filled to serve your needs. People end up commiting suicide or acts of violence towards themselves or others when they aren't given access to a doctor. Everyone deserves help, regardless of the amount of money they earn.
psychology isn't even treating anyone
Do you have proof? There is a reason psychologists are in such high demand now. We live in a world that's flooded with mental illness.
Dude, nothing is for free, if you want a free psychology session then try to convince the psychologist to give you one for free. Money doesn… more't grow on trees, treating a dangerous infectious disease like hepatitis C from tax payers money makes sense as the whole society benefits, psychology isn't even treating anyone, if you have a mental disorder you need a psychiatrist.
As long as there are imperfect people, there will never be a perfect world.
No matter what type of government people try, because every human being on this planet is imperfect, there will always be problems, like failed promises, social inequality, economical issues, legal injustice, and so on.
But I guarantee one thing that would definitely help, regarding the justice system, is if they would execute all murderers.
The prisons are overcrowded with them.
People always want to try to reform these types of people, but unfortunately those that go to prison, often become worse than they were when they first went in.
There are some who are just not reformable, who are non-redeemable.
And therefore the only solution to dealing with them is to execute them.
Plus, not executing them is a huge travesty of justice.
To allow them to continue living, after they've taken an innocent life, is basically telling the victim's family, and the rest of society, that the criminal's rights are more important than that of the victims.
And for those who disagree with me, I ask you to stop and think if it was someone in your family who got murdered.
Would you not want justice to be done?
How can we call it Justice, giving a life sentence to a man who murdered all those people in that theater shooting in Colorado.
He shot and killed 12 people, and wounded 70 others.
Whether or not he is mentally ill, or not, how can it be called Justice when he gets to live, and 12 innocent people died, including women and children?
And let's not forget the people who were left crippled because of his violent actions.
Now I am all for people receiving a fair trial.
But if they have been found guilty, and there is DNA evidence that proves there guilt, as well as multiple eyewitness testimony, then the Just thing would be to do is execute them.

1 - It would eliminate the risk of that man ever committing such a heinous crime again, therefore eliminating the risk he could pose to other children.
2 - It would send a very strong and clear message that this type of behavior is unacceptable, and will not be dealt with lightly.
That if someone does this, there will be severe consequences to be paid.

Why can't we have armed police that don't beat the shit out of suspects and kill dogs for no reason?
The reason is simple, not enough training or punishments for offenders.
We can, just have to increase the standards for those who get accepted, probably also have to increase police officers salary in many countries.
