I think Jane should have been replaced by Molly
It would have made more sense. When Molly first encounters Lee, and Kenny, both her and Kenny seem to sass each other out, forming almost a brewing rivalry. This doesn't seem to continue or develop further, however it would make sense for Molly to come back for several reasons.
It would have made the decision between Kenny or Molly harder, since players would most likely already know Molly and know what's she has been through. As well as this Telltale wouldn't have to develop a whole new character, and instead could spend time in Amid The Ruins, going through Molly's adventures after she encountered Lee (which could be different depending on how we last see her), and showing how she's changed.
It would make sense for Molly to form a fondness for Clementine as opposed to liking Kenny or others in the original group. Why? Well if you bring Clementine to Crawford, she does save Molly's life which Molly would remember if she had encountered Clementine in In Harm's Way. Furthermore when Molly does get shot or isn't saved by the walker, it's in scenarios where Clementine isn't at Crawford and when Lee messed up, so Molly would have no reason to blame Clementine for what happened. Also if Lee did save Molly without Clementine, she could still like Clementine just due to the fact she liked Lee and knew Lee and Clementine were close.
It would have given us a deeper connection to Season One and the choices that were formed there, to show it could effect the relationship between Molly and Clementine, and thus effect how players evaluate Molly and whether she would be better dead or alive in comparison to Kenny. It definitely would have helped with showing us how our decisions impacted the story.

I would have enjoyed seeing Molly again. Plus I don't think that several points of the storyline would have turned out the way they did had Molly been present instead of Jane (ex. Sarah dying in the way she did, that big choice at the end of No Going Back, etc.)
I disagree, when Molly left the game I ended up really loving her character, when Jane left I really disliked her. They're 2 different characters and it should be kept that way.
I'd just replace her with anyone because Jane is a shit character.
I dunno, I loved Molly but really disliked Jane.
Frankly, I liked Molly, but I liked Jane more, and I'm glad Jane was there instead.
It's funny how so many people say, "They should've brought Molly back instead of Jane; they were exactly the same!" as if Telltale wasn't aware how similar the two characters were. I feel Telltale obviously meant for Jane to be similar to Molly, but I think Jane was meant to be almost another incarnation of her, in a way. By that I mean, I think Jane seemed to me to be a "what if" scenario of Molly's character. E.g. what if Molly and her sister had grown up under different circumstances, with Molly being less close with her sister? What if Molly had gotten out of Crawford with her sister? What if Molly's sister believed herself to be a so-called "liability" because of her diabetes? What if her sister believed she was a burden to Molly and became cripplingly depressed, and wished for Molly to go on without her, even if Molly dragged her sister around 4 different states against the younger's will? What if at one point, they got cornered by walkers, and Molly had to choose between dying and leaving her sister behind? Because no matter what, no matter what Molly did, her sister was going to die then and there.
On a separate note, I would never believe it if both Molly and Kenny miraculously came back for Season 2 either. I'm getting pretty sick of the ridiculous miracles in this game, so that would be a no-go for me. Also, Molly vs. Kenny wouldn't work. Molly would drop Kenny's ass in a heartbeat; no doubt about it.
I like Molly as much as anyone else but no this story was best for Jane not Molly.
The writer's vision of S2 required a shit eating lying bitch character so they came up with Jane. If Molly was there instead of Jane then the game would have taken a completely different direction.
Yeah, if Molly was there Kenny would be absolutely dead in everyone's playthrough, because Molly would beat Kenny's ass so hard like the little bitch he is. Man, now I do wish she came back.
One of the reasons I wish she was there instead because she woulda whooped his ass.
Jane, idk how she survived so long because she mostly hid and ran. Molly is a real survivor, that's why I hate the comparison of the two
Jane was mostly non-confrontational. There's only so many idiotic immature violent asswipes in the world like Kenny (thank God), so as Jane avoided people, she didn't have to deal with that shit, and she only decided to deal with him when she wanted to keep him from Clem. Don't forget Molly avoided people as well and after Crawford, I doubt she had to deal with many people herself--be they friend or foe. It's just that Molly was more competent in fighting than Jane, and personally I wish Jane had had similar fighting skills.
Lol since when is walking up to strangers and picking a fight a smart thing to do in The Walking Dead? Anyone would avoid a strange group if they could; otherwise you have an Arvo or Roberto (from Shel's story) kind of situation where you're seen as a potentially dangerous stranger, and they wouldn't know what to do with you.
Also don't forget that Jane had a huge number of skills under her belt, including: 1) walking through a herd with guts on, 2) using a cow catcher to get through a herd, 3) creating a fire with a nail file, 4) sharpening a blade with a nail file, 5) picking a lock with a nail file, 6) checking "fresh" walkers for supplies rather than old walkers, 7) double-tapping a walker to make sure it's dead, 8) getting a girl out of a frozen lake, 9) taking down walkers with the knee trick, 10) knowing what to do for hypothermia victims, and 11) using a weapon that doesn't get stuck such as an awl or screwdriver to kill more walkers more efficiently. Molly could've had these skills as well, but they weren't shown if she did. Her parkour skills and attracting walkers via ringing bells may have been fine in the city, but they wouldn't really work so well in the open country. By contrast, Jane would be able to get through a herd in either city or country.
I'm glad we got Jane because I didn't really like Molly. I mean I liked her because she was cool but she kinda felt like a superhero, whereas Jane feels like more of a genuine human who has flaws and makes mistakes.
I don't see how bringing Molly in would make the story any better, imo its another lucky situation. How do you explain Clementine running into Kenny, and Molly. What are the odds of that happening, a billion to one.
You just could make Kenny and Molly finding to north together...
But whatever, I would´ve liked more a decision between Luke and Kenny - based on my playtroughs, that would be a much harder decision, because I can´t let kenny killed because of Jane...
They couldn't because Molly's voice actress changed to Bonnie.
Ignore this...
I agree. Molly is more of an interesting character than Jane (in my opinion).
And I forgot Jane was dragging her sister through those herds the whole time...
The problem is that Molly was a classic Mary Sue character Gary Whitta put in because, hey, everyone loves the Mary Sues. Like Andrea. Andrea in the comics, not whiny TV Andrea. She also had no real downsides to match Kenny's descent into Crazytown.
