One Year Anniversary of No Going Back
Happy Birthday No Going Back. It still remains my favorite episode from Season 2 and my second favorite episode overall from The Walking Dead. Also, Happy Birthday Luke.

It's been a year already?!?! Time flies fast
;.; This makes me so sad...
You know, I can't quite believe it's been a year...![:( :(](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
I can barely contain my excitement.
...
That was a lie, but wishing I could celebrate today with you guys isn't. Sorry to be a party pooper.
am i the only one who finds the title of the episode ironic.
How do you mean?
I figure it as them saying they're not going back and starting a fresh yet spent most of the episode whining and crying about Season 1 and go t back to Howe's at the end
Definite irony there.
I always thought the plan was dumb, because what if they went back and some of Carver's men were still there? They could've either been made prisoners again or shot on sight.
"No Going Back." Really changed how i felt about this game series.
I still think NGB is one of the game's best episodes, and is my second overall favorite episode of the entire series as well, and absolutely nothing anyone can say will change my mind
That's why going with Jane sucks. After everything they sacrificed and everyone who died they're going back to the place they spent an entire episode trying to escape from? Bull...Shit.

What was good about it?
Quite a bit of stuff
a fair amount of stuff
Even though there were a few plot holes and some weird writing, I really loved the episode. It's probably my favourite from Season 2. So yeah, happy birthday, No Going Back!
Happy Birthday 'The Walking Dead'!![:'( :'(](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/cry.png)
It's almost 3,5 years from April 2012... Т_Т
It has also been almost three years since the disappearance of Lily, the sad demise of Katjaa and dick Greyson aka Duck, and the shocking jump death of Carly and doug
I didn't like No Going Back. I prefer A House Divided.
Wow, time flies. Remember the Kenny vs. Jane shitshow?
Who doesn't? XD
The promotional picture they had for this episode was so inaccurate XD. I can't believe all season 2 episodes are a year old now. As for No Going Back, could've been better. I prefer A House Divided. Is it bad that I would've preferred Clem being alone for some of the episode instead of the whole Kenny and Jane situation? I was hoping Clem would find Christa or Lily
So much potential wasted.
You mean the one that still goes on to this day?
Yeah
Me too. A House Divided was the best episode out of the season to me. We spent time with many of the characters, it moved the story forward, really set a lot up and gave us some dilemmas too like Carver showing up and the Matthew situation. Quick time events were pretty good too and well thought out for them to work with a young child as the protagonist in situations like that involving zombies, and the location with the ski lodge in a ZA felt original, especially after the cabin; I remember thinking it was great seeing all these different places. I know I mentioned it in the past but table decisions, that was a really good call.
Lacked hubs and that wind turbine thing was stupid, and could've done with just a tiny bit more character stuff, but damn good episode. If I can ever bring myself to play Season 2 again, even just one episode, it'd be that one.
The scene where Carver enters the lodge is probably one of my top 10 favorite moments.
The entire opening and closing to season 2 was bad. God, every episode of season 2 is problematic,
Yayyy, happy b'day NGB. Loved by many, hated by many (including me). But happy birthday anyway.
A House Divided is a close second, but I give the edge to No Going Back because, with the exception of the result of the shootout, I loved everything else about this episode. And I know I'm pissing a couple of people off with this, especially Lilacsbloom, but I'm honestly not bothered by Luke's death, it was probably one of the best of the season, and the fact that the entire group goes to shit after it shows that Luke was essentially the glue that held the group together. I'm one of the few that actually liked the Kenny vs. Jane, I feel it makes more sense than Kenny vs. Luke, and liked the fact that there are multiple endings and, if the writers put in the effort, they can have a huge impact on Season 3. So yeah, I liked it because I thought it wrapped the season up nicely, had some nice emotional moments, and sets up Season 3.
I'm with you man, I still think it's a great episode, it has a couple problems, but so does every episode, the good far outweighs the bad in this episode.
I liked that there were different ways that you could go about the scene where you could try to lock the door, greet or threaten him, say you were with a big group or just with your dad [or pretend your name was Carley even]. The knife moment was really intense too, if deciding to go make a grab for it or not and then Carver picking it up. At that point you haven't even seen yet what he's capable of yet, but I still remember feeling afraid for Clem when Carver was holding that knife and asking her where it goes.
I really liked that it put you in the shoes of a child like that where you couldn't be all Lee and shoo Carver off with some threats or violence. I didn't feel that so much with the later episodes except for a few moments, but episodes one and two captured that really well.
I'm not pissed at you, don't worry.
I'm not against the idea of the Kenny Jane thing, I just think if they had built the season up a bit stronger and made it more consistent, even to having Jane present in the very first episode, it would've done it a lot of favors. As it is, I just feel really sad, and it's why I can't agree with some of the things you said, although I really do want to. I wish I could.
Woo! Happy Birthday No Going Back! Despite creating a shitstorm of people arguing about Jane/Kenny I really enjoyed the Season Finale, even more so then No Time Left to an extent.
It had its good moments.
Can't believe its already been a year.
Woah, it felt like it was just released a few months ago.
Something tells me something else was originally going to happen in this episode.
I can't really relate to the whole "it's been a year thing" since I came to twdg party rather late, but I do want to say happy birthday to Luke.
/Sigh. Luke.
I'm going to write fan fiction now.
Season 2 had many rewrites. The main problem with s2 was the stuff they cut out. Examples. A tiger, power plant, concept art shows clementine in the rain with an adult. The shadows for amid the ruins and much more.
Yeah, I feel that the later episodes over compensated for Clementine being a young girl as the playable character by giving her abnormal amounts of influence (or strength). In trying to make her hardened after the end of Season 1 (and the time skip), I feel they unintentionally made her lose a lot of her characterization from Season 1.
Since when was this a season 2 critique thread?
Oh my god it's been a year how is time going by so quickly
The art of Clem in the rain with an adult was Clem with Christa at the beginning.
