The Big Bang Theory: its silliness is why I can't get past the fact that it's one of the most successful comedy series of the decade, I don't see why people are more attracted to a group of cliché geniuses/morons instead of well written and developed characters in other comedies.
Mad men: plan to watch it soon
Breaking Bad: I liked it, it is in my top 10, but surely not in my top 5.
Game of Thrones: I never really enjoyed fantasy, but I love Game of Thrones for the same reason why I love The Witcher series: they are crude, politics filled universes where fantasy elements are not their main focus. So I can say I love all episodes (I still don't get what was the problem with S5 ep6) but I don't love some particular parts of them. (Brendon Stark's segments for example)
Personal baggage can dictate much of what we consider overrated. I don't watch Big Bang Theory regularly, but when I do I find myself laughi… moreng at all the silly jokes. Character development, plot, etc., non-existent on the show. You could have puppets in place of the actors and the show wouldn't change much--but the jokes themselves are still funny...to me, at least.
I gotta give Mad Men another chance, as I only got through half of the first season before getting bored. But so many people have told me how great it got later that I'm curious!
Breaking Bad started off pretty good in the first few seasons, but by season three the binge addiction finally took hold and the show continued to surprise on so many levels.
Game of Thrones is an abusive relationship...watching boring or painful episodes waiting for the one or two ASS-KICKERS that show up each season!
I really hate True Detective, both seasons. Also all that crap made here in Poland but its not really overrated because everyone knows its crap yet most Poles watch It:(

There are some nice videos on youtube that show how big bang theory plays without the laughtrack. Most of the times its just not funny and if you saw some of them you realize how forced many "jokes" are. I think the show is mostly popular with older people who don't understand the youth/their children and think that they act like the "geeks" in the show.
Thats just my opinion though and there are some good jokes in the show, but overall I just can't watch it anymore.
GOT is overrated yes, I read all the books and watched the show, at the last book/season I pretty much hated half the characters ( Dany for example) and found the other one boring (Bran expecially bran) but I still devoured both media and liked it. So while it is overrated it still has an unique charme to make it entertaining even if you don't even like 70% of the characters.
Sherlock, but I pretty much hate everything Cumberbatch appears in because I just can't stand him, so probably just bias there
I hate this show. It's not funny at all. They do not act like smart people or geniuses. They behave immature and still hot chicks are interested in them.
This is bullsh... Unlikeable and annoying characters - sheldon, guy from India and third one who looks like ugly Jew.
Also I hate "Gotham". There's too much Batman in medias recently.
