Playstation plus
So some of you guys know i am planning on buying a PS4, but then i heard from a friend you need to pay $50 for playstation plus which lasts a year. This kind of concerns me. I mean pay $400 dollers for PS4 and then pay $50 for a year access to internet? Your joking right?! I already know you need PS Plus to play online with friends. But what will i be able to download games/apps (like netflix) without PS plus?!

You can download apps, and games without PS.Plus.
there is an update that is coming out that removes the need for ps plus as to when that update comes out I don't know I only have ps3 right now my friend told me about it
PS Plus is required to play games online, not to download/ or to play games single player. Think of it as Xbox live for PS.
So PS Plus will be removed?
The need for PS+ is strictly for multiplayer. You can access apps like Netflix, the store and Party Chat for free.
I very very rarely play games online, but I've been a PS+ member for two years now just for the perks. You get a bunch of free games each month and some pretty great discounts on the store as well. I'm not a fan of them putting multiplayer behind a pay wall, but you get your money's worth out of it very quickly, so it's really not that bad.
Free games huh? not bad.
TL:DR Yes it costs 50 $ a year. And yes that is annoying, but you get a lot of perks that make up for it.
Yup! Typically it's 2 PS4 games, 2 PS3 games and 2 Vita games per month. Some of my all-time favorite games are ones that I originally got through Plus, like Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite and Transistor.
HOLD ON! It's only $17.99 for 3 months.
No, it's pretty much PlayStation's Xbox Live but cheaper.
not so much removed but you won't need it to play multiplayer
Oh awesome!

I can't wait for the 10GB cloud storage!
