Ace Attorney
Due to the recent news of Ace Attorney 6 getting localized and even the long-awaited anime, I thought it would be nice to create an AA thread. I already know a few people who like AA here but it would be nice to at least have a thread dedicated to it. Any Ace Attorney talk is fine obviously, but if you are going to mention something spoilerly, mark it as a spoiler! 
News will be added as time goes on. As a protip, I'll only be adding the actual video of the newest trailer. Everything else will just be the linking directing you to the page. Don't want to clog up the OP.
May 26, 2016 - Larry is back for a DLC case that involves a certain character that appears in AA1 and AA2 getting married. My guess is Adrian Andrews!

I love the Ace Attorney series, I still have to play the other games that aren't currently available on an i-pad though. Can't wait for this and the anime should be interesting, hope it's good.
You're just missing out on Investigations 1 & 2 and Apollo then! I'm in a similar boat actually, I need to play Apollo!
You will have to emulate Investigations 2 then, since it was never released in the West. The same might be said for Investigations 1 and Apollo if your iPad is your preferred method of playing.
Which game (or case) is your favorite?
There's also Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright and the one that focuses on Phoenix's ancestor (if that is ever released here)
The i-Pad isn't my preferred device, I just don't have a DS.
As for my favorite case I'd have to say the final one in Trials and Tribulations, everything just comes together beautifully. I also love the bonus case in Dual Destinies.
Yayyy, I've heard the news. They still have to release AAI 2 outside of Japan though. :l
They said it's not going to happen despite the fans wanting it.
The funny part is: there's already a fan translation, and a great one by the way, as far as I know. They just have to release it. o_o
I haven't it played it yet though. The trilogy ended so well that I'm afraid to play any other Ace Attorney game. :B (but I've played the first case in Dual Destinies) What's your favorite game in the series?

Capcom said it was because of the cost to localize it; most likely due to the sales Invesitgations 1 got they saw the cost wasn't going to be worth it. What's shitty is that an employee named Christian Svensson said it would be possible for a digital distribution, "but no promises." Everyone got their hopes up until the guy left due to staff reorganization in 2013.

It's odd for me to say, due to my watching mainly the trilogy and slowly getting the actual games. I've only actually played the first, part of third, Investigations 1, part of Investigations 2, and Dual Destinies. I really like three so far, which seems to be everyone's favorite. I do like Dual Destinies but the ending wasn't my exact cup of tea.

Three is definitely the best. It's a perfect ending for the trilogy. I've heard Investigations is awesome, I'd have to emulate though, since I don't have a 3ds
Yooo, I would be pissed as hell if Maya is SOMEHOW NOT IN THIS GAME. LIKE, IF SHE GETS A CAMEO like a letter saying to go to the place, I'm going to scream and throw Capcom HQ.
Since Kurain is the center-stone of this game's story I think we'll highly likely have Maya back. I wonder what she'd be like now though being the master of the Kurain Channeling Technique, doesn't hurt to mention we haven't seen her in the series timeline for eight years now. Something tells me she hasn't changed at all though.
Lil' controversial opinion though, I actually loved her bittersweet ending in Trials and Tribulations. I want her to return in AA6 but HER story was really well concluded and I hope she isn't the central character of the game's arc. If that makes sense.
AA is awesome. I love all the games. And i'm looking forward to six (although i wonder why sherlock holmes is in it. Anyway if Moriarity isn't refrenced im goin to be sad)

Actually the sixth game will feature the series protagonist Phoenix Wright and it'll be out next year. The one that you're talking of that has Sherlock Holmes in it came out this year and it was called The Great Ace Attorney and in it you play as an ancestor of Wright's, there's unfortunately not plans for that one to be localized.
And yup! There's going to be an anime of it! I'm not actually sure which one to look forward to most, the sixth main game or the anime!
Considering that's the case, I don't think I'll be throwing Capcom HQ anytime soon. I wanna see my lovable hamburger lover again!
I just would like to have more of an appearance than what she had in Dual Destinies. That literally got me infuriated, considering how loved Maya was. Since this location is apart of Kurain, I don't think she'll have that sort of cameo again.
So what kind of place the Kurain Kingdom will be if it's localized? is it some sort of indigenous Japanese colony in the USA?
Well, according to the Japanese version, it takes place in Asia? (Someone correct me if I'm wrong there)
Doesn't seem too Japanese for Capcom to change imo, but I don't know how they think. They give off the idea that we don't take kindly to protags who or locations that aren't American...for some reason. Looks at DGS
I took your advice and decided to learn how to emulate games. I'm currently playing the first investigations and just finished the third case.

I finished it off and I really enjoyed it. After those end credits I'd love to see a spinoff about the judge teaming up with a bailiff to become a lawyer.

I need to finish Investigations, I think I'm on the last case. It is the one with the embassy building catching on fire and Kay being blamed for that AND OF COURSE A MURDER BECAUSE WE IT WOULDN'T BE AN ACE ATTORNEY CASE WITHOUT ONE, correct?

Planning on getting the HD remake that was sort of recently released too.

I actually just played Turnabout Samurai today on the 3DS remaster. Always loved the fact Edgeworth was a Steel Samurai fanboy.
Well I just finished Investigations 2 and man that was great. That final case tied everything together. Off to Apollo Justice.
SO ACCURATE IT HURTS.
