New Classic Adventure Game - (The Journey Down)
Hi all!
Just thought I'd bring your attentions to a most wonderful and goregous point and click game I've been playing recently (in line with the old Telltale stuff i.e. Sam & Max, Monkey Island, etc.)
For those itching for some more traditional point and click games, this satisifies that itch and them some. The game is gorgeously designed in a sort of noir-ish way, whilst grooving along with afro-Carribbean tunes and hilarously endearing characters and dialogue.
The reason I make this thread mostly, is that the hard-working 3 man team of the game are in the process of making the game's third and final chapter, but after burning out their money making the first two chapters and living on almost poverty-like conditions, the financial situation has definitely reached its toll, and they need as much help as they can get to even finish the game!
Obviously if you donate a certain amount you get Chapter 3 and all the proceeding chapters for free (Chapter 1 and 2 are already out now!!), so it's quite a good deal in my opinion.
So if you love the old adventure game style, or just want to support some hard working indie devs and bring happiness to lots of people, I think you should at least have a look at their kickstarter campaign below:

Hope you have an amazing day!

I remember having bought and played the first Episode on Steam, and it was pretty good. Sucks to hear about all the trouble they've had since, but it's good to know if nothing else that they are at least passionate enough to commit to this.
Also, I know this thread was mainly about the upcoming third episode, but how was the second episode?
The second episode was so much better than the first in every way. It was my favorite adventure of last year, and considering the amount of great adventure games that came out that year, that's really saying something.
You can read my whole review on the game if you want. But to sum it up, everything was improved, from the story, to the voice acting, to the puzzles, and even (if you believe it, considering how great the first game was in that department) the presentation was improved. The art is better, the music is better and more varied (the original composer passed away before the second chapter was released, so there are some compositions by the original composer and some by a new composer, but they compliment each other well). It's one of the few games on my blog that I've given a perfect review score, and I definitely stand by that. It's excellent.
