Far Cry Primal. Because Why The Hell Not?
I could say the same thing I said about FNAF World, and call it unexpected, but that would be a bit pointless. I mean, Far Cry Primal is still not what I thought the special Ubisoft announcement would be at all, but I actually really like this idea! I mean it's set in 10000 BC! No guns! No radio towers! Nothing from the modern world! This will really change a formula which was started to be repeated. I mean, I like Far Cry as much as the next guy, but you have to admit, Far Cry 4 was REALLY similar to Far Cry 3. It would be cool if every new Far Cry was rocking a theme like this. I would only be cool with that, though, if it doesn't turn Far Cry into a annual release.
I HOPE TO GOD THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN!
I WOULD LITERALLY FOREVER LOSE FAITH IN GAMING!
Now all we need is a Watch Dogs 2... Then again, it would probably be better if they took their time with that. :P

Uh, looks interesting, kinda a weird step to take in the Far Cry series, but I got one question...
Are they going to miss out on the chance to put dinosaurs? I dont care if they are extinct, I demand dinos!
I think this is a good step for Far Cry. This makes me actually kinda look forward to it instead of deciding to get around to it eventually like I did with Far Cry 4.
Finally a caveman simulator.
I don't know my opinion on this, I must see more.
I'd find it really difficult to hunt mammoths. Looks interesting though.
Looks great, if only they had dinosaurs. They had a poll where the most popular idea was a Jurassic Park-esque thing, so it's close, but not.
And please to God give subtitles.
Time will tell, young padawan...
I don't know why but I LOVE subtitles. I'll be disappointed if a regular game with English dialogue doesn't have subtitles. If this one doesn't, I'll go MAD!
It's an interesting approach, but it doesn't appeal to me. Sorry. I do hope this is actually good though.
i think that Far Cry is really Ubisoft best work. i fucking love FC3. never played the first 2. i have FC4 but i havent finished it, i got FO3 and that one consumed my time along with me always playing TLOU online but i did enjoy FC4. this is interesting though. its new, something different, but its not first day pick up. ill wait untill its on sale.
BTW: i really dont like killing animals, i know they are not real, but still. if its not to upgrade or a mission or no other way out then im leaving it be. i sure as hell dont want to kill no beautiful Mammot .... .-. ._.
I... am still undecided on that regard.
It was really surprising to see Far Cry take this route, but I guess it could've been predictable since there is Shangri-La stuff in Far Cry 4. I'm just concerned about the story, but we'll see where it goes I guess. Pretty exotic choice, Ubi.
I would love to see a Far Cry game set in WW2 one day tho
Set in WW2? That doesn't make a lot of sense when it's mixed in with Far Cry's gameplay. I guess it would work with the whole idea of capturing outposts, like capturing German outposts or some shit. But the whole concept of a war mixing in with Far Cry doesn't work well in my opinion.
This looks pretty sweet, actually.
...though I was hoping for a Blood Dragon 2 announcement...
God damn I could just imagine this game not having subtitles lol.
It would be awesome if they did, could you imagine riding a triceratops in a similar style to the elephants in Far Cry 4.
Well, does this not look refreshing? I LOVE historical settings (shut up, I know this is PREHISTORY; you know what I mean).
One conspiracy theory states that a group of Nazis escaped the war's end for a pre-existing base in the mountains of New Swabia, Antartica.
Isolation - check, Wilderness - check, pre-existing enemy threat - check, places for outposts - check, several avenues for new gaming mechanics - check.
Interesting idea, no?
far cry 2 was the best especially the map system and the real life location but hated looking for them hidden diamonds only ever occasionally pick them up if they are nearby
Yeah I think there a lot of possibilities to mix Far Cry with WW2. It could also take place on a fictional island nearby Sicily or something. Whatever it would be, I think it might work at least as Blood Dragon/Primal style standalone DLC
People can get really creative with the history, since there are a lot of blanks and possibly undocumented events so it's really up to Ubi to figure out the story behind it
Meh example idea: squad gets sent to a non-tropical island to take it over but they encounter heavy resistance and only protagonist survives for example, it turns out that island is occupied by some weird crazy nazi doctor or something (it obviously needs some sort of antagonist), your squad is presumed dead you're cut off from your unit so it's up to you to survive in the hostile environment and yada yada
Now all I need is a decent game taking place during the bronze age and my life will be complete
Ubisoft, Throwing away Tom Clancy and throwing the shit at the wall to see what sticks since 1997.
well thats just more of my opinion. there is few games that i buy on release date. witcher 3 was gonna be one of those but i got concerned because i didnt know much about it, i did buy it eventually though, but like i was saying i only buy game that i know a, or i think i know, are gonna be great.
Fallout 4 is one of them
Sounds like something I could buy into.
