Best speech ever in film!
Pick a movie clip where a character gave a speech, and one that you found to be profound.
Here's my personal pick.

Gonna go with the big one, because IMO it's still yet to be beaten.

The King's Speech. It's not really the content, but about him overcoming his fears of delivering a speech. It's something we could all relate to.
EDIT: On top of that I have a speech of my own to deliver tomorrow. Wish me luck!

That's an even better one, than the one I picked.
I would've posted that too haha. Best speech in a movie without doubt.
Actually, the first time I hear Charlie talking. I am so used to see him not talking in his comedic roles.

I was going to post the Chaplin one. I like this one too:

This another famous anti-war speech

Tony Montana's bad guy speech in Scarface. He was at the top and he knew the world was vilifying him for it

The Great Dictator
Edit: Oh wait it was the first post. I hate how this threads take us to the last page.
The best one for sure. I posted it thinking no one posted yet because this forum takes us to the last page of the thread, and I didn't see it was the first post x_x

2 minutes 5 seconds in, I think it's a nice message for kids:

I miss Robin Williams.
Today we celebrate our Independence Day.

I would say Chaplin's speech minus the Hans Zimmerman (you don't need music to make it any more epic, it doesn't need it, and if anything distracts from what he's saying)
But there's also my favorite poem ever, and it got done beautifully here:

I love that film
Good answer.
The "Do I really look like a guy with a plan?" speech from The Dark Knight is pretty much one of the greatest speeches in Cinematic history.

And if I had to pick a different one, It'd have to be the "I may be just a kid" Speech from the Spongebob Squarepants movie, Because god fucking damn it that shit was legendary. A true cinematic achievement IMHO.

It's pretty hard to pick the "best speech ever", mainly because there are so many of them. Still, if I had to pick one that comes to mind right now, this would be it:

Beautiful!
This is my most favorite RW movie ever!
I think this speech truly acknowledges the goodness and the decency that exists in all people, when they choose to live unselfishly.
Unfortunately, people today lead lives of self-centeredness, and it shows in everything they do.
Charlie Chaplin quoted the Bible in his speech, talking about "the Kingdom of God."
Well honestly, I cannot see God looking favorably upon human society, not when the majority are only truly concerned about themselves.
To truly be decent, and to let the goodness that exists in all men shine through, people have to stop living only for themselves.
It's only by cooperation, by living selflessly instead of selfishly, that a successful and civilized society can exist and thrive.
When people are divided, and only looking out for themselves and what they want, that's when things fall apart.
"And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." - Mark 3:25. (KJV)
The problem is getting everyone to have faith in the idea of working together. Most people don't see any chance of it working, so they choose not to bother.
