Considering how long we have to wait, they could make not only one, but two episodes, and I really hope they kind of will (one for Rodrik, and one for Asher), instead of just killing the determinant characters in the beginning of the episode.
For once Telltale has actually promised a solid release date more than a week in advance, and they don't exactly have a reliable track record so for them to declare that they will release the finale both the physically and digitally on the same promised date, despite being like a whole month away, a lot can happen in that time, and Telltale who have such an unpredictable release date routine - now they actually give us a guarantee that's so far away... its like they set a goal for themselves to make the best finale ever and release it by this specific date... November 17th.
Hey, has anyone else noticed the overwhelmingly negative reception being outputted here on this forum since the announcement of the official release date for the finale? You think Telltale will notice?
Okay, you may have said that, but you had nothing to base that theory on. It's not illogical to have thought it would be released sooner than November.
Probably not. Although everyone has the right to be negative. Telltale said that they would release the finale of GoT soon after the finale of TFTBL. November 17th is not that soon. I mean almost a whole month? Wow...

Yeah, I'm glad that we got a release date but the problem is the wait. A lot of people have been waiting for the finale of GoT to be released earlier. Telltale itself said it will be released soon after the finale of Tales... November 17th is not that soon. And I'm kinda upset that we have to wait a long time for the episode to be released.
And in all seriousness though, cause of the wait, I started a little bit not care about the characters. It is just a matter of time 'till I may not care about the Forresters at all but we'll see

Sadly, I don't even own Tales because I'm poor as hell. xD
I'm waiting for two YouTubers I like to play it, but seems like they're focusing on Life Is Strange atm.
Conversely, maybe the extra wait means that we'll get some very divergent storylines based on which Forrester brother survives and our choice is pushed to its fullest potential?
Each game episode is like a feature film length - or two show episodes - 6*2=12 - GoT game is worth over an entire show's season worth of content - which is still impressive... I love House Forrester. Even if the episodes got pretty linear, I have a feeling the finale will offer more freedom of choice than ever before - it could really be something amazing - GoT is no Tales but its still an excellent game in its own right - Episode 5 obviously indicated the unbelievable amount of ambition the writers possessed - they just might actually be giving it their all... pushing boundaries and going where no interactive fiction game has ever gone before...
Unfortunately this comes at the cost of mentally torturing their fan base with inconsistent release dates to the point GRRM's Red Wedding is practically a soother in comparison.
November 17th.... I feel crushed, yet.... how could I have ever expected anything different, Telltale has never attempted such storytelling heights before, when the finale comes out its either going to affirm their ambition and be the best thing ever or be the most anticipated let down ever... like Phantom Menace level.

Aye, I can understand that. No doubt there will be more negative threads soon.
Well, we can always hope that the finale will be worth the wait and blow everyone's mind, right?
We can only assume that they took the massive amount of hate and did a re-write. Similar thing with episode 2 of tales except they weren't expecting the massive amount of praise.
personally, i will beg them for a season 2 as revenge, i will say at every opportunity that i love their games, that this series was their absolute best, and can only hope for more, that'll show them, that'll show them all!!! (the delay wasn't their fault, i'm a playstation user, so distribution is their thing).
I hope I won't loose interest in the game during the wait... I'm not too disappointed just because you gave us an amazing episode 5 of Tales, Telltale.
Same here. I really don't mind the wait, like at all.
Sure, if the last episode turns out like Episode 5, I'm going to be kinda pissed off for waiting so long for this to happen. But I expect a good finale. It will be worth the wait, I hope.

Let me guess... One of those two is Cryaotic? xD
I'm agree with you. If this episode does not have 3 hours at least i will never play another Telltale Game besides TWDS3.
They cant be spending 4 months for 2 hours

I'm not complaining, but it's funny how everyone though Telltale was gonna take a shorter time than usual to release GOT, when in fact GOT is the TT game which is taking the longest time for all episodes to be released, almost 1 year.
Hey remember how we had countless threads about people ranting on about how much they hated Episode 5 and how Telltale games were losing their edge?
Now everyone will have a new topic to feed off in multiple threads... then some misguided soul will try to create an 'official' thread to concentrate all ranting for the release date into one single forum, the haters will react to this by springing up even more hate threads... then the defenders will step up and become more vocal about why Episode 6 is justified in taking so long... then as we actually near November 17th some Haters will turn into Defenders and increasingly demean the Haters for their impatience and lack of understanding or how their sick of 'everyone' complaining about the Episode 6 'lie' (about it coming 'soon' after Tales).

You just summed up most TellTale fans' real feelings.
I you, TellTale.
Not even a trailer though? No sneak peak? No Gryffs head on a pike at least?
We're desperate telltale. The GoT side of this site needs something
Now I kind of wish TT's GoT was 7 episodes long...

Now that's a good one. No one can stand the efficient fighting power of Twenty Good Men
Let me just send a raven to Melisandre real quick
Flay them all
Because...aliens
Personally, I'm just happy that we got a release date. Always look at the positive side of things.
I sob

I actually think that it will be worth the wait. I have hope in Telltale ^-^
Thread: 4 Months For 1 Episode?
The season one finale better be long and spectacular. TellTale have been making it for 4 months. I will accept no less than a three hour episode.
Well at least we know when it's coming out. Doesn't make it any less hard though.
I especially have a much better hope after the finale from Tales, yesterday. ^^
We can only assume that they took the massive amount of hate and did a re-write. Similar thing with episode 2 of tales except they weren't expecting the massive amount of praise.

3 months so far.
They have announced the release date; mid November
Half a month? It's sadly almost an entire month..
Oh, I'm late for the party
Well, it must be worth the waiting time though.

...Yes. XD Nice guess! Sadly he hasn't even posted any LiS Ep. 5 videos yet, but I played it myself anyways so I'm good for now.
Sometimes they're only 1 and a half
27 days to go (if its 21of October for you) I also think they are working hard to give us an amazing 2 or 3 hour finale
I'm not complaining, but it's funny how everyone though Telltale was gonna take a shorter time than usual to release GOT, when in fact GOT is the TT game which is taking the longest time for all episodes to be released, almost 1 year.
Yeah, I played the finale of LiS, too.
I enjoyed it though I kinda find it dissapointing. But it was still a great episode nonetheless x3
And now... we just wait for the finale of GoT. Although releasing the finale that late means that it may be the best finale yet... I think xD
They said themselves this is the most ambitious episode ever.
