  • If you expect too much you may become disappointed. Either way I'm sure they haven't been spending all that time scratching their arses and eating Cheetos.
It's a finale, the other ttg game finales I've played were good, and I'm sure this one will be aswell.

  • Nothing. They're only human. If the episode didn't need this much work, it would have been out by now. But it isn't out, so clearly there's a reason for that.

  • Cry actually played Tales from the Borderlands on a livestream last night, a small bit was cut during the stream so he's doing some kind of editing to it.

...Yes. XD Nice guess! Sadly he hasn't even posted any LiS Ep. 5 videos yet, but I played it myself anyways so I'm good for now.

  • Yeah, I didn't really like the endings that much, especially the "bad" one. :I But, otherwise it was good!

GoT better be good after 119 (?) days of waiting. xD "It will be out soon", they said. "Telltale soon."

Yeah, I played the finale of LiS, too. I enjoyed it though I kinda find it dissapointing. But it was still a great episode nonetheless x

I liked the endings. The problem was that our choices didn't matter at all in the end. It is like we never did them. And the episode was a little bit rushed. :|

I really thought they didn't mean "Telltale soon." But it looks like I was so wrong xD

Do I hate the Minecaft Game? No, I find it difficult to become invested in it but its more due to lack of interest

That's good to see, as a vocal portion of people seem to hate it for really petty reasons and treat the game as if it is bad overall instead of just not personally liking it. Sorry for jumping to that conclusion prematurely, it's just disappointing to see that so many people dismiss it as a whole without acknowledging that it just isn't something for them personally. I really wish more people had your mindset and were open minded as opposed to just proclaiming they hate the game because of Minecraft stereotypes or because it's not a mature, gritty drama.

I agree, some people died in my game and I was very upset, but I guess it didn't matter after all. >-< I like how they did the nightmare part though, even though it scared me so much. xD

"Telltale soon" is a cruel meme at this point. xD

  • They probably planned to have finished the Season earlier, and wanted to manufacture retail discs by that date (or very soon after) in their original plan. However, due to either the Episode 5 ending variations or them just spending more time polishing Episode 6 due to some of the feedback from Episode 5, I'm guessing they could not delay their prior commitment to manufacturing retail discs, so they might just be using that as a hard deadline to release the digital episode as well.

Telltale doesn't think people want episodes that are long, so I wouldn't count on that. I'm not defending that entirely, I'm just pointing that they are typically adverse to longer episodes so you don't get your hopes up too much. As of Walking Dead, they typically aim for games that more resemble cinema, so the longest they would probably make an episode with their current design process is 2.5 hours, or maybe 3 if they were open to being experimental.

  • I'm afraid of being a critic, sure now it seems justified, like a stab in the back by Telltale, but eventually Defenders always win.... Telltale likely has their reasons for the very long wait... this isn't going to change in the future, worst case scenario the waits will only get longer - but the only glimmer of hope that comes with this pain in that the pay-off might just be better than ever before - though I question if its economically sensible to increase wait times between episodes... though I'm most users already buy the full game before all episodes are even released.

    But ignoring all that......

I'd send them to the Wall, like I did with Erik.

    The nightmare part made me scared a lot... Good thing it's all over now ;-;

  • I'm fine with waiting, I still need time to get over Tales, so this is good.

  • This had better be one hell of a good, and very long, episode. I'm going to have to replay the entire game because I've already forgotten a good half of the plot details, and in a month I'll probably have forgotten the majority of the plot. This is pretty ridiculous. My last TTG title was Wolf Among Us and that one had crazy wait times too...

P.S. - I played Walking Dead Season 2 as well, but actually got around to it first.

  • About the interview. I want to see more of Iwan's voicing Ramsay. He is so into his character.

  • 17th november? With Fallout coming out on the 10th?
    YOU DAMN FORRESTER.

  • Telltale staff members do read the forums, but they don't interact too much though. They have the sense to know that people don't like waiting too long and express awareness of it during interviews, panels, etc, but they prioritize listening to fan feedback and polishing the story over punctuality. Older Telltale games were published on a genuinely monthly basis and were longer in duration, so it's not entirely foreign to them. Then again, the older titles did not have nearly as much dialogue or cut scenes whereas that is 90% of a modern Telltale game, so I imagine that adds to their workload as well since they have to manually create more content for the player to see.

Hey, has anyone else noticed the overwhelmingly negative reception being outputted here on this forum since the announcement of the official release date for the finale? You think Telltale will notice?

  • A season 2 in the Future would earn them so much money

  • It could be worse. It could be valve time.....

  • Thinking about it, telltale FULL games aren't very long, considering you have to pay the price of a regular video game. There is 1 hour and 30 minute episodes times by...five for example, and you still only get 7 hours for the full game which, if you think about it, isn't very long for a FULL game

But if the episode has a 90 minutes length, they wouldn't have to spend FOUR FUCKING MONTHS making it.

  • God I do not know what took them so long. I would not believe that if they kept tweeting us. But because of the news drought for a month and a half. I now think that the peiosde was rewritten. Seriously though, i wiould be fine if they released it on november 17th if they tweeted us about it.

  • Wait...didn't they say MCSM Elisode 2 before Thanksgiving? So it's either the same day as GoT or before.
