  • I'm afraid you miscalculated.

The first episode of TftB was released on November 25th 2014, the second on March 17th 2015. That's 16 weeks = 112 days, not 118.

Thanks for pointing that out, it was a misclick rather than a miscalculation. I updated the list but it's still fairly close.

Telltale just give us the trailer now that should satisfy us until N17.

  • 119 goddamn days. I have high hopes for this episode, hopefully TTG doesn't let us down.

November 17th? Not that bad. We don't want the grand finale to be rushed, right?

  • Game development takes alot of time.

Well, i understand that. But if the episode has a 90 minutes length, they wouldn't have to spend FOUR FUCKING MONTHS making it.

  • Episode 6 better be 10,000 hours long :P

Nah but seriously, it sucks that I have to wait a few more weeks, but I'm willing to do it if they are hard at work making the best finale for this series as they possibly can. Just gotta figure out what games to play and keep me occupied until then.

  • I really don't mind the longer wait. It seems to me that they actually listened to the fans after pretty much everyone bashed Episode 5 and decided to take their time. Ironically, that's also what many people said they should do, and now there's complaining because they actually do take their time. Oh well, people can't be pleased I guess :P

  • Why don't you shrug here

  • They confirmed a late fall release for that a long time ago, so definitely before Christmas. I'd probably guess after Thanksgiving since they're aiming for Minecraft Story Mode's second episode to be before Thanksgiving.

  • Okay, will take your suggestion.

  • The problem is, a longer development time doesn't always result in a better game, and given the long wait and the disappointment with the previous entries, it's going to have to be one of the best entries they've ever done. If it's great, most people will probably be willing to overlook the wait. If it's disappointing, well, the reaction we've seen to the release date will be nothing compared to how people will feel.

Don't be so quick to call hypocrisy. Creators should be praised on what they actually do, not on what they might do.

  • Remember when right after episode 5 released people thought it would be out at the end of August because the wait for finales are shorter? Good times

It is hypocritical to tell someone to take their time (they are taking their time, no matter the end result), and then complain when they actually do it.

I also don't think the whole Season was a disappointment at all. It's a pretty solid game, only Episode 5 seems to be really hated on (I actually didn't mind it, but after having pointed out a lot of the flaws I kind of saw where they were coming from)

"I also don't think the whole Season was a disappointment at all."

And that's fine, but many people feel otherwise, and I believe the series metacritic score is lower than TT's other series. My point was that if people were raving about this series like they were for some of the previous series, people might be able to feel more optimistic. But if the final entry isn't significantly better than the previous ones, then I think the backlash is going to significant. People might be able to tolerate a good product and a long wait, and they might be forgiving towards a product that's subpar with a short wait, but a late product that's also disappointing? There's gonna be a bloodbath if Telltale can't deliver.

  • It's not necessary at all, but you do get a few references and get a bit of understanding for some of the cameos, but you'll most likely still enjoy it regardless.

Telltale deliberately aims for their episodes to around 1.5-2.5 hours to resemble cinema or television, so I wouldn't expect a long episode. Telltale goes off the mindset that people don't want long episodes. I'm not defending that mindset of theirs necessarily, I'm just clarifying so that people don't set expectations that Telltale won't meet.

  • 16 weeks is far too long to wait and I have to say that it is not because of Telltale making this a great episode that they have made us wait, it is because they were making their next game (Minecraft: Story mode) that they made us wait. The episode won't be any longer or any better than previous episodes in the season. And that is not to say that I am unhappy with the quality of the content so far I just feel that they have taken the rise out of we who purchased the season pass. They had a duty to keep us informed of what was taking place and did not do so. I shall not be purchasing again on day one, I shall wait until the game is complete and discounted should I buy any more of Telltales games again.

    Shame on you Telltale.

A guy on twitch has actually got Episode 6, it shows Installed on his episodes.. unless he is a tester for the game or something.. how has he got that?

Either way, if this is any indication towards Episode 6.. I'll watch, problem is.. he's doing a marathon Eps1 to 6. Good news is, he is on Episode 5!

Hopes96 is the username of the person.

  • Oh I know that, Blind Sniper. I was just joking after seeing the past comments about demanding for a longer than normal episode, and seeing your responses to them.
