Petra knows him better than the others, and she likes and trusts him, even if he's not the bravest of the bunch right off the bat. That says something, especially since for anyone else she'd probably judge them for being a 'fraidy-cat.
With that said though, I probably will support Axel even if he's being unreasonable about Lukas again down the road. Just so that he knows I'm still his friend.
Maybe they aren't even friends, just hangig together because they're good builders. (at least that can go for Lukas, although he seems to be the leader...)

Lukas is kind and very quiet, I like his design, character and voice actor. I feel he belongs in the group.
