For me another issue is that they do give an expected time frame of about 6 weeks and if you miss any deadline by almost 3x the expected date then you f***** up and they need to be called out on it.
"I also don't think the whole Season was a disappointment at all."
And that's fine, but many people feel otherwise, and I believe the ser… moreies metacritic score is lower than TT's other series. My point was that if people were raving about this series like they were for some of the previous series, people might be able to feel more optimistic. But if the final entry isn't significantly better than the previous ones, then I think the backlash is going to significant. People might be able to tolerate a good product and a long wait, and they might be forgiving towards a product that's subpar with a short wait, but a late product that's also disappointing? There's gonna be a bloodbath if Telltale can't deliver.
"iI MEAN WE HAVE BACON AND A RELEASE DATE But on a serious note, now at least we know we have it coming out. I do understand it is a long wait but don't you have anything better to do with your time than constantly waiting??"
People like you are why telltale will never change and why there games are over rated. You're so greatful to be getting the episode at all that you don't mind how long it takes even if you paid for it with a season pass. Do you honestly believe that the game would take as long as it has taken to be released if telltale worked on one game series at a time? When they worked on two season 1 the game had less delays because it was given more focus. That game put telltale on the map, was game of the year and still probably their best work to date. I still play telltale's games but I waitbuntil they are available for purchase before I pay for them. I like a lot of the games they have made but I refuse to make excuses for them and the delays for episode releases since I'm not on their pay role.

I waited until the first 4 episodes were available to download before I started buying the GOT episodes, having learned the hard way with twd series. I didn't expect ep6 to take this long though. I actually forgot all about it and thought I'd check to see if it was out after realising the life is strange game series finale was out. GOT was ok but for me telltale's games have dipped in quality since they started working on 3 games at a time. The last game I was impressed with was TWAU and I waited until episode 3 was available before I started playing that series.
It's quite amazing how different the Tales From The Borderlands and Game of Thrones sections of the forum are. This side is heading down The Walking Dead's path, and this is in no way a compliment. There's a reason why TFTBL got an AMA with the devs, and I'm quite sure GoT won't get one. There is a way to express varying opinions without seeming hostile and having forum tantrums. I'm also sensing a large amount or bitterness because TFTBL finished before GoT as if the later had some sort of entitlement before the former.
You guys can stop it before it's too late. Post your opinions, but keep in mind that everyone can see what your posting.

I believe a big chunk of the fans of games and shows full of drama or violence look down on comedies, seeing the genre as being below the genres they enjoy and not worthy of a good story, because the genres they enjoy are "wow so mature, totally more worthy", so they go like "I'm such an adult, look at me adulting all over the place and enjoying these superior forms of media that are actually worth enjoying instead of some silly comedy". So that's why there are people that are flipping their shit over it.

Oh so agreed, there's a complete difference in giving constructive criticism and being obnoxious, and it pretty clearly shows which forum is which when you just take a glance at each. For example, a criticism on the Tales side of the forum is called "Tough love thread", here? "Telltale's worst decision". Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the OP of that thread is obnoxious by any means, but connotation is important. And the way you use your words IS important. The big difference between the forums is one knows how to use their words positively, and one knows how to use them negatively.
While I don't think they'll hold off from doing the Q&A on this side of the forum, I do think as new games come out, if people continuously act like the way they do on this side of the forum, Telltale will be more reluctant to doing activities on the forum/be close with the community, and it would be a real shame to miss out on these things because people can't behave well.

Well, to be fair, that WAS TellTale's worst decision.
While I agree that people need to watch their tone when making criticism, there is one thing to keep in mind: Tales was a masterpiece. Probably one of the best games TellTale ever made, if not the best (certainly the best I've played), while GoT ended up with Episode 5, an episode full of plot holes depending on the way you played, with heavy influence of an untouchable character and that contained the worst decision TellTale could have taken on the situation presented (the traitor fiasco).
I guess what I'm saying is that while this doesn't excuse people's hissy fits (not that thread's case, that one is full of very legit complains), the difference on the quality of the writing must be taken into account when you make a comparison like that. It is understandable that a game as good as Tales would warrant much less hate than GoT's Episode 5, which many agree are among the worst episodes to be released for any TellTale game, though some of us still think the last episode of TWD S2 was still worse. On the other hand (and a lot of fans seem to forget this), the other GoT episodes were good, Episode 4 being excellent IMO, so it is not like the game suddenly became garbage just because one of the episodes was horrid and one decision was "TellTale's worst decision".
What bothers me the most is not people complaining about the writing, because there are many points they argue that are absolutely valid (some points are very hard to discuss because of how objective they are, like the plot holes and Ramsay's influence in the story line), but people complaining about the wait. They knew what they were getting into (if they didn't, they should have made some research before buying a TellTale game), and I can't see why it is so hard to understand that it is better if they take their time to make sure the Episode 5 fiasco doesn't happen again (maybe being more careful to avoid the plot holes?) than to release a rushed episode and leaving everybody unsatisfied.

I agree with you for the most part, but most of this is subjective, and again, it's about how you go about saying things. There's still a lot of better ways to word your title, in a more positive, constructive light. And even inside the thread, the way OP explains their thoughts is just in a really negative light as well. I'm not saying everything needs to be all rainbows and sunshine happiness, but there's better ways to say things.

Well, the problems with the traitor thing and with the untouchable character's influence in the plot are pretty objective. They are not a case of "I didn't like that this happened". The problem is that, because it happened like that, the explanations the traitor gave didn't line up with the decisions made (again, depending on your decisions, so it could make perfectly sense if you play one way and absolutely no sense if you play in another way), and the untouchable character not only dictates the direction of the plot, but also the mere facts that he is in Ironrath during that time conflicts with the established timeline.
Now, of course, there is some criticism that is more subjective. My biggest problems with episode 5 is that my favourite character (Mira) gets very little screen time, and that Gared's plot didn't move forward, but I suppose that someone that doesn't care much for Gared and Mira would be happy that they don't have to waste time on these storylines and can quickly go back to Asher or Rodrik.

I think most criticism of of the GoT episodes is analogous to fanboys getting nitpicky about Star Wars in the late 70s, or Star Trek in the 60s, due to their differing perceptions of characters and the like, with the deep lore and often widely varying loyalties and the characters often makes fans think there are plotholes when there really aren't any. You might not like the way an event is done, or the motivations or role a character is playing, it isn't necessarily the writing's fault, and is thus not a plothole.
I would like more Mira, though, I think the intrigue of King's Landing alone would make a great game.

This really is not the case at all. This is a case of a character saying "you were a violent lord" as the justification for the betrayal, even if you took the character's advice every single time and picked all the passive options. That results on an awkward cut and on the character repeating that you were violent a couple of times, without giving any example of you being violent because there wasn't any (for the other traitor, swap "violent" with "passive" and "passive" with "violent"). That is a plothole, because what the traitor was saying didn't match what Rodrik did. The problem is not (only) with the character betraying a man for something his dead little brother did and that he had absolutely nothing to do with, is with TellTale not adapting the scene to Rodrik's actual choices. That is a problem with the writing. I've discussed this a few times here, and I would be absolutely fine with it if the traitor was the one you listened to the least, so that it would make sense for people that, like me, picked one sentinel with Ethan and then did everything the non-sentinel told me to do with Rodrik (the traitor on my case should have been the sentinel for his reasons to match Rodrik's actions).

What? How can you compare those two? People give Until Dawn praise for things like: one small decision can affect the game immensly, yet when Telltale does it, people go into a massive outrage becaue of "how poorly it was written". The Traitor thing which people seem to bash on (even though it depends entirely on one's choices) is an example of this. Besides that, Mike and Sam can't die until the end of the game, Matt and Jessica are characters that aren't there for half of the game, Chris can die only if you mess up the QTE or if he decides to shoot Ashley (who literally pleads for it) and she refuses to open the door. Characters in Until Dawn die if you aren't exploring enough or if you choose choices that have written "THE BAD CHOICE" all over them. Now Until Dawn is a great game, but don't compare it with Telltale since the way they do things is entirely different.

We need to stick together to fight this fucker.
If it wasn't for the bacon, my watch would have ended by now!
I agree, the long wait between the episodes kind of kills it for me.
Gods, Gared is going to have a fight on his hands. I will take the bacon for my own.
Not released yet !?!?
.....Well fuck the episodic format and I mean it. Time for a big change, you need to work on full games Telltale.
November 17th my friend.
I just played Until Dawn and now I'm so disillusioned with TTG and their system that I have a hard time believing this finale will meet expectations.

I think every episode has been nothing short of brilliant.
Four months when it releases.
I can't wait for this episode. I am anxious to slaughter the Whitehills!

Nice... They made a Disc Version without every Episode on the Disc. You have to Download from the shop. So why Disc Version ?!? Epic Fail
Until Dawn isn't a Telltale Game and shouldn't be compared as such.
Even Episode 5?
Episode 5 was far from brilliant, but still pretty good.
