"The same reason the hero always gets the girl, and every spaceship in the universe is shaped like a cock. It's destiny, Rhys." ~ Vasquez.
… more But in all seriousness, it's the game designers choice, not the shows, not yours, the game designers. And what the game designers do, is the games destiny.
What I said, was that peoples main focus in a Game about Depression, death and war, should not be boobs. I never ever said depression, death and war was okay, and I never said Boobs were out of line, what I said, was the game is about Depression, death and war, therefore, boobs should not be a problem or a main focus.
Wow, Everyone loves to put words in my mouth, huh?
Also I ask you to stop putting words in my mouth. Its not a lust thing. That's what porn is for. I just think that in the show, the nudity helped build an atmosphere of reality, and it definitely added to the shock value. Like, when they showed Drogo fucking Dany in Season 1, it was horrifying to watch. It wasn't supposed to be erotic.
Anyways, its an exceedingly minor gripe. The game had much bigger problems.
I wouldn't mind nudity, I understand why those who want it and why those you don't don't. Reason why people WOULD want it is because it simply gets you more involved into the game, you're already getting emotionally attached to fictional characters in these games why not have fun and mess around? TellTale is amazing, personally I've met a lot of younger gamers that are obviously aren't mature play their games I mean c'mon, when do kids only play E or E10+? The game is very interactive and you could get into it pretty easily. Stories itself is good without nudity
Wow, really can't appreciate a good story without tits & ass, huh?
It fit for the Pudding & Pie in The Wolf Among Us, but otherwi… morese, I feel like it was just fine how it was. Especially with the Morning After scene with Elaena & Rodrik. Maybe if there had been Whores in Essos that we saw in some back shot or easter egg or something, sure. But Nudity doesn't really add to a story's value.
I didn't come to play this game because of the chance of ass, tits, or a penis; I came to play this game because of the immersive story & the characters & getting to explore another interpretation of GRRM's series.

Because Nudity really doesn't add to the Story's value, like I said. They could have slipped nudity in with the Morning After Scene. They kind of did, but we just got their backs, especially Elaena's-- & I'm all right with that. Yeah, this is Game of Thrones, but I'm, for one, thankful they didn't add Nudity or haven't yet to this game. It doesn't have to be like the show where there's a stupid sex scene every five minutes, it doesn't make for good gameplay, unless you were expecting some porno level stuff in this & have a QTE for fucking Eleana Glenmore-- if so, go find a hentai or porn video to jack off to.
Just because it's M Rated doesn't mean it has to have every little eighteen+ action in it. Then the Label for this game would most likely be rated R or NC-17, which neither are suitable for kids who play this, because I have no doubt that there are Kids who are younger than eighteen that play this game.
Your original comment said "Wow, can't appreciate a good story without tits and ass, huh?" I was responding directly to that, because you seemed to have the impression that he was demanded they add nudity. I don't see the OP's post that way at all. It just seems like he was bringing up a topic that he thought was worth discussing,

No, I didn't get that impression from the OP. Why I said that was because nothing comes from it. There's no value from Sex scenes or Nudity like Dumb&Dumber would like you to believe from the show. It's a sarcastic comment because that's all everyone ever seems to want in any game, show, or movie that's rated 'M' or above now. But, mind you, the OP also says-- The show itself is riddled with them. And mind you, the women in them are drop-dead gorgeous. But why not have them in the game? The game is rated M for a mature audience, after all. A Game shouldn't be judged on how much Nudity it has in it, nor should a show. Nor should women be devalued so much that they're seen as just toys or just to be used for viewing pleasure. It's the developers' choice if they want to add Nudity to a game or not. If they don't add any, it shouldn't matter. & like I said, not every 'M' rated label has to have Graphic Sexual Content or Nudity in it.

You're equating something integral to a setting (that's the zombie-horror genre's love of blood, dismemberment and so on) with something you want.
Medieval settings do not have a monopoly on boobs and most shows, movies or games in medieval settings don't feature nudity either, rather blowing away the authenticity argument. If you were to use Games of Thrones as a measuring stick for your authenticity, that doesn't work either; Game of Thrones isn't about the nudity. It features on occasion, when it fits with the theme. It's a show about the characters and how they interact and grow, with a dash of political intrigue thrown in. This is an important distinction that needs to be made. Political correction is a plague, sure. I'm totally with you on that but that is not what you're witnessing in this game's lack of nude scenes.
The Telltale Game of Thrones is a story about a family on the brink struggling for survival; Loyalty, betrayal and all those good things. There's no need for nudity because it doesn't add enough to the story to warrant its inclusion.
"Authenticity is a red herring"
No it's not. The game is set in medieval times where people weren't so PC about nudity in modern times. N… moreudity in game would add to the general trend/authenticity of the show where we often see nude scenes present. By not having nude scenes we are essentially saying that the game is trying to tone down the adult aspect to cater to children.
For example. Suppose telltale got the backing for the walking dead by the author but decided that blood was too gruesome to show, or having someone get shot, stab a zombie in the head, or decaptiation was too much and decided to take that away from the actual game. It would seem like a watered down version of the show.

Classic Lara Croft ftw!
Heh. Or Samwell's "thick pink mast."
So we're not allowed to question the game designers?
May as well shut down the forum.

Why is *depression, death and fucking war *okay, but *tits, ass and *fucking** completely out of line?
Again, not at all what I was saying.

Yeah. Freedom of speech does not apply to game developers.
Great.
its 2014, women are smart now.
I think you're missing the OP's point. He's simply asking why there has been no nudity.
The OP never tried to suggest that it was his right to dictate the game. He's simply asking a question.

I think the OP's point is that since it's an M-rated game, then it's appropriate age-wise to have nudity.
Yeah, I understood that, but that doesn't mean it has to be so. It's the developers' choice, not the people's.
