Kinda odd, since I was hyped about Skyrim for ages before it dropped. I'll just chalk it up to mind-numbing minimum wage labor.
Will probably get hate for this but I'm a bit disappointed there are apparently 7 male companions and 2 female ones, not including mr handies or dogmeat.

Yeah, I probably won't. I used companions in NV because Obsidian's character writing is so good, but outside of that I've always preferred being the lone wanderer sort in Fallout games. I'll take Dogmeat though.

I changed it because I know it would have brought forth people complaining and saying how wrong I am or something like that and I could really deal with out someone going on some rant or speech about equality or something of the sort.
But that was why it was so great! Flog complains about the "sexism" in companions and you respond with a funny and honestly witty remark to it. Oh well, I still thought it was pretty good. True too.

Just a lack of variety really. lots of human males and people who look like human males (the AIs). We've never had a female ghoul companion before, etc, just lack of variety is my main problem.

After previously looking at quite a few leaked videos, it seems that companions will actually comment on certain dialogue choices you choose during a conversation - which mainly depends on how you treat the npc you're talking to, of course. And loading screens are similar to Skyrim, you can rotate the item or model you see slowly spinning around.
Welp, it's happening. I dreamed that I was playing Fallout all night tonight. Woke up happy that glorious experience was still awaiting me. It's preloading rn on the PS4.

Actually, the amount of hype I'm feeling could be hazardous to my health, I'll probably have a breakdown if it disappoints me. But that's impossible, so I'll be fine

The only reason I would have to travel with them is: They're invincible and you can romance them.
