Rise Of The Tomb Raider Thread
I figured there are threads on a whole bunch of other games, so why not a tomb raider thread?
Anyone else here playing it or watching a playthrough of it? I'm loving the game and it is definetly my favorite game this year I think. Everything is just awesome. The gameplay is fun, the story is interesting, the side missions/tombs are fun and well done. Also some of the best graphics I've ever seen in a video game in my opinion and all the characters are well done. Crystal Dynamics has done as great job remaking tomb raider and creating the definitive Lara Croft.
So what do yall think are you liking the game? If you haven't/ can't play the game are you planning to when it comes out for the other consoles next year?

I really want to play this game, but I refuse to buy it until it's on PC. And only when it's at half price.
Nobody should be supporting business practices like this. Gamers should be able to play what they want on the console of their choice.
Exclusivity in general sucks. I feel you; I have to wait for this thing for most likely another year (I have a PS4).
Atleast you eventually get it. How do you think xbox one players feel about street fighter.
Precisely as I said: exclisivity sucks.
Visually beautiful.
I haven't gotten my hands on it, but I watched gameplays.
Yeah. I don't know why game developers do this. I don't see how it helps sales to be exclusively tied to a single console.
For one, the developers in question are either in an agreement were they are being payed to do so, or they where founded by and are hence a part of the company that they produce exclusives for. Either way, they would be obliged to do so.
Secondly, the idea is that gamers will be harder pressed to buy one console over others due to a game they like and/or are interested in playing being tied exclusivly to said console.
The effectiveness of this, however, is debatable.
I mean I kind of get why Microsoft and Sony does this even though I don't agree with it. It seems like a good deal for them because they aren't the ones actually making the games, but I just don't get why developers do it. I mean it must be a crap load of money they are paid because it doesn't seem worth it to be tied down to one console because that is easily gonna cut their sales by atleast half. As far as I know Square Enix games have usually sold better on Sony consoles, so them making the deal with Microsoft just seems silly even if it is only timed.
Either way I just wish everyone could enjoy game at the same time.
Like you said, it would have to have been a large amount of money. Either that, or they are really short sighted and wanted a proverbial quick buck out of it.
I haven't played it yet but from what i've seen it just looks copy-and-pasted from the past game with a new environment and story (plus of course graphics). Correct me if i'm wrong but it looks as if there is almost no innovation at all. This isn't me trying to be a 'hater' or anything, but I didn't enjoy the last game very much, and hoped this may be the one to redeem my disappointment...by the looks of it, it won't be.
I will buy it when it comes for ps4.
That is way wrong. It took everything from the last game (which was great) and made it 10x better. Deeper crafting, more freedom to explore, more weapons, and TOMBS! By God the tombs are awesome and some actual complex puzzles.
That's a loooong wait.
I can wait. When will it be released for it?
I think for ps4 it will be sometime in November 2016
Ok
