    Welcome brother.

  • Yeah, there's a lot of cool guns to make but definitely lacks on melee. I like to sneak a lot and melee kill so that's a minor problem for me. Oh well, adapt to survive.

There's surprisingly a lot of options. Wish there was more customizable options for melee weapons, though.

  • The Glowing Sea? Is that a radioactive zone or something?

Power armor is recommended if you ever plan on exploring the Glowing Sea, unless you'd prefer using a shitload of Radaway and Rad-X as an alternative.

  • You need to invest in one of the perks to be able to get screws.

anyone know where to get screws for free??? i can never find them..

  • Hopefully in a free update they'll consider making more melee weapon mods - it'd be great!

You guessed it, go to the bottom left corner of the map and see if you dare...

  • Never actually found one yet, lol.

  • ._. Well... that power armor better keep me safe when I go there.

  • How about more unique missions for the institute?

Are you serious? The whole point is to kill, loot, and gain experience. What did you expect from a game series that takes place during the apocalypse?

  • Hehe, it will. When I went there I encountered two Deathclaws, one of which was in front of a marker I had to go to. If it wasn't for the power armor, I would've been dog meat otherwise.

  • really? I love using it, just not all the time.

It's a great force multiplier against muties and other enemies that use explosives.

Am I the only one that has hardly touched the power armor? Seriously I have used it like once. Mostly because I haven't been able to mod it.

  • Eh, personally, I'm quite happy with my setup. Combat fatigues + full combat armor and a synth helmet. Looks badass,

  • The second one?

OK either Boston Public Library is glitched or there is a sh** ton of mutants that spawn out of nowhere

  • Invest in scrapper. Or tag it for search at the weapon workbench.

  • Yeah, I agree. I use a machete a lot and it can't be customized at all.

  • There should be a Dead Wife Club for the Male Sole Survivor, Maccready, and Boone.

  • Pretty much me until recently. I have started playing Fallout 3 and, oh, man alive! The second I can, I am marching into my local EB Games, shoving my money down the cashiers throat and running back home swifter than Usain Bolt, Fallout 4 in hand and screaming like a madman and flailing about like a Garry's Mod ragdoll.

Me for many years: So what's so special about Fallout? Looks like another war game.... Me when I heard talk about Fallout 4: hmmm.....

  • Don't get arrested now. There's no fallout in the joint.

I bet they will. Or maybe a cheap DLC like Gun Runner's Arsenal in New Vegas.

  • Aw man, I'm still wearing the tin can I found in Concord, augmented with some T-51b parts I found in the national guard armory.

That set is my workhorse. I save my T-60 armor for serious trouble spots or BoS quests.

When I find suits in the wasteland, I usually just strip them for parts.

  • Nick, I'm really happy that you like me, but can you please not relay to me your entire life story while I'm trying to sneak around in the middle of the night in a ghoul infested square? You know I can't say 'no' to you and have to listen to your tale hoping not to get brutally murdered in the meantime, right?

  • I got the set at the South Boston Military Checkpoint, if you're interested in looking for it.

He did that to me too. I was sneaking through raider country and he just started yakking. About halfway through the chat bullets started whizzing past us and he just kept talking. Amazingly, I didn't get hit.

    SPOILER ALERT

Well I got the one they give you at the beginning. I've got the one the BoS gives you. I stole a second one from the BoS. I bought one. I found an empty one on top of a satellite dish. I found a full X-01on the roof of a random building. And the other 3 I don't remember. I don't use them so I just put them all in the garage and leave them there. I've got upward of 50 unused cores.

EDIT: Also if you find them in the wasteland you may as well take them back with you, at least that's what I've been doing. I don't ever touch them, but they're fun to look at. Soon enough I'll have my own metal army!

  • I have about the same amount of cores, and I have 8 sets of power armor. There's basically a set anywhere you see a military checkpoint or any type of Federal location like the rations area. I just stick my companions in them and leave them in Sanctuary.
