Charlie Sheen's HIV Diagnosis!

After watching the interview, what do you think?

Personally, while I think it is a shame that this has happened to him, on the other hand I am not surprised.
Not when you consider his past lifestyle.
You cannot play with fire, and not get burnt!

To be clear, Charlie, and his doctor, have confirmed he has HIV, and not AIDS.

As far as his ex-wives, like Denise Richards for example, I hope that they did not contract the virus.
Though it is a shame that Charlie has it, still, no one else should have to pay for his lack of discretion.

Brea Olson, one his two love goddesses, says he did not disclose to her his status.
She came out very publicly on Dateline about it.
Here's an interview she did with Howard Stern, where she talks about how Sheen kept his status from her.

  • Not so surprising . It's no secret that Charlie was a Hollywood whore .

He was diagnosed roughly 4 years ago, in 2011. That's around the time he went off the deep end with his "tiger blood," "Adonis DNA," and was "winning." I wonder if those crazy outbursts were his response to the devastating news that he had HIV.

  • This is the lifestyle he chose, as was his right. I just hope people will understand the potential consequences of something like this, so that they can make informed decisions about their health.

  • "Hey babe, I'm HIV positive and just infected you."

"But you know what? That was my right."

    Hmmm...

Did he know he had hiv, because i think that is a crime to have sex with someone knowing you are infected of a life threatening disease. TBH, honestly really not that surprised. The lifestyle always catches up with you. I'm sure he will be fine because aids research has came a long way, but it still is a life changing thing, so hopefully he learns from this. I wish him the best.

Any update if any of his former lovers contracted the virus? It is pretty disgusting but not at all surprising. She may be able to litigate if she is positive I think. I don't know if it's a criminal action, maybe an intentional tort.

  • Ray Charles could've seen that coming.

  • I was referring to his general lifestyle. Yes, he shouldn't have kept it secret that he was HIV-positive and risk infecting others, but he was within his right to have sex and not use protection.

  • And HIV is treatable if caught early enough, if I remember Sex-ed correctly.

  • I heard that drug they gave Dr Kent Bradly could cure HIV.

  • I thought he had tiger blood

  • It's sad for Charlie, but he shouldn't have kept it a secret this long. He probably infected a bunch of people.

  • How could you not tell someone you are with something like that, what a piece of shit!

  • There never will be a cure, not as long as the pharmaceutical companies have their way.
There is no money to be had from curing illness, only treating it.

And the pharmaceutical companies pay the FDA to push their products.
Yes the FDA is supposed to protect people.
But have you ever asked yourself: "If the FDA is concerned with protecting the people, than why do we see drugs on the market today, which can have life-threatening side-effects?
Who's approving their sell and distribution? And why are they approving of it, after knowing the potential risk?"

Oh i totally agree. The amount of greed in this world is sickening. Mankind will choke on their gold.

Yes, and prosecutors are supposed to prosecute people when they break the law, not let them run for president. This is the world we live in, a world of double standards, human greed, and sin.

As far I know especially in USA, it's crime to have intercourse if you are diagnosed/know that you have some kind of disease that would be inflicted to your partner. So whatever right it's, it's not right by the law at least.

  • So much for "winning".

I don't recall there being a law for that, you're just more of a jerk for doing it. I'm probably wrong though.

  • Does the law specify whether the person has to know that they have a disease or not? I'll say again that lying about having an STD should definitely be punished by law, but having sex with an informed, consenting partner is anyone's right.

  • Aaaaand, this is news because?

  • I think the whole situation is blown way out of proportion. HIV is not ebola, it's not the Black Death. Media is just promoting the negative stigma...as always.
