Isn't anyone wandering what happened to Magnus and Ellegard, do we just leave them in soren's house? Roam idea round wherever, do we not need them in the game anymore and we are trying to ditch them now?

No. They're making them earlier because all the sets are already there. (Built in minecraft. Took years.) So they just have to animate the charecters, explosions, and all that stuff. Without making the backgrounds, it takes a lot less time. Hoped that helped.
