Why settle on betraying and nuking your own son when you can betray him on his death bed and let him watch everything he holds dear go up in flames by his own father's hand? Spent all game looking for him, this is not how I foresaw this story ending.
Anyone wish you could justify yourself as just plain revenge on the Institute? All the options were grandiose speeches about the greater good and shit, I always saw my character as just never being able to align himself with the Institute after what they did to Nora, even if that was just Kellogg's doing. After Shaun brushes it off as a 'unfortunate bit of collateral damage' (HIS OWN MOTHER) I figure that's when my character knew, in the back of his head, he couldn't stay with the Institute.
What part of the mission are you on? i had a bug where it didn't tell me who i had to kill so i found the target by watching a youtube video to see where they where and killed them and it fixed the glitch, after that the next radio announcement happened as normal.
What part of the mission are you on? i had a bug where it didn't tell me who i had to kill so i found the target by watching a youtube video… more to see where they where and killed them and it fixed the glitch, after that the next radio announcement happened as normal.
I think you need to talk to Handcock as the Shroud before moving on, if that doesn't work you could try finding the next target "Smiling Kate" in the video below (at 15:06) and kill her to move on.
I felt awful all throughout that part... My character was with the Brotherhood, and the way I was roleplaying him he didn't even believe in their ideology, he just kinda fell back on what he knew and felt comfortable with, in this case their whole organized military shtick. So in the end he destroyed the institute because he was ordered to destroy the Institute. It wasn't his job to think about it.
The talk with Shaun was painful, though. I could only choose the pathetic 'I'm sorry, there was no other way' excuses, because I honestly couldn't justify what I was doing to my own son. I didn't issue the evacuation order either, since I figured the BoS would just mow the fleeing scientists down anyway, seeing how that's what my team was already doing during our track through the labs.
I stood on the rooftop for a long time after I pressed the button, just staring at the fading smoke.
Taxes. It's not like the Brotherhood is going to farms and stealing food, they're offering protection for food. It's a "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" situation
Extortion. The brotherhood doesn't protect farmers. There is no backscratching. Just "hand over your shit or bad things happen". Don't try to tell me the Brotherhood is going to rush to a settlement's aid and kill some raiders, cause that's just bullcrap. You know what you're supposed to do if you can't convince the farmers to part with their crops? Kill one as a message to the others.
The NCR? You mean the group that just views lower class civilians as a number. The NCR is a jumbled bureaucratic mess.
this is funny, coming from the guy who supports the bourgeois military dictatorship. Comparatively, the NCR's poor have it much better than elsewhere in the Wastes. There's a thriving economy, state subsidized agriculture, they have political rights and there's groups like the Followers of the Apocolypse to help those who slip between the cracks.
The brotherhood is an oppressive and distant regime. Their only interactions with the proletariat is to steal the fruits of their labor and snatch away their tech . The Brotherhood maintains a complete monopoly of force, the people can't vote or petition the BoS overlords and have no recourse against tyranny.
The Minutemen stay out of people's lives unless called on for help, and in return, only ask for the settlement's support going forward..
Sorry about the late reply, school and all that.
What about the unhealthy Chairman Maxson hero-worship?
Unhealthy? Far from it… more. Soldiers must have faith in their commander. Plus, Maxson has done amazing things, hero like, and that much is true. However, full and utter devotion is not something I can support, it is the duty of every one to question their authority and everything, but not betray it.
And the un-democratic tithing of farmers?
Taxes. It's not like the Brotherhood is going to farms and stealing food, they're offering protection for food. It's a "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" situation.
What about the complete abandonment of the Brotherhood's former values under Elder Lyons
Wrong. First, Lyons betrayed the original goals of the Brotherhood in favor of the knight in shiny power armor approach. That's not a bad thing, the original Brotherhood out west was full of dicks. What happene… [view original content]
Extortion. The brotherhood doesn't protect farmers. There is no backscratching
If you see taxes that way then that's your problem. Also, incorrect. You know how you see the Minuteman patrols? Brotherhood do that too and will help if they see trouble. However, I agree, they probably won't rush to the aid of people if it doesn't help them. A reason I agree that the Minutemen are an important part in securing peace.
this is funny, coming from the guy who supports the bourgeois military dictatorship.
Funny or not. It's true. However, I must admit, if I ever had to pick between the NCR and Brotherhood, it would be a hard decision.
There's a thriving economy, state subsidized agriculture, they have political rights and there's groups like the Followers of the Apocolypse to help those who slip between the cracks.
Ah, so you say that the Followers help anyone that aren't helped by the government, kind of like the Minutemen?
proletariat is to steal the fruits of their labor and snatch away their tech .
We're talking about the same Brotherhood here, right? The ones that have vertibirds fly overhead the entire commonwealth. They gather food for soldiers and take away dangerous tech from people who would abuse it. They're not innocent but they're not the devils you're making them out to be.
The Brotherhood maintains a complete monopoly of force, the people can't vote or petition the BoS overlords and have no recourse against tyranny.
Yet that's the same for a lot of people. I hardly think the Minutemen have elections for leader. Still, it's not said the Brotherhood would be against a council being set up in the Commonwealth. We don't see the long term effects,we don't know what happens.
in return, only ask for the settlement's support going forward..

You can raise a lot of companion's affinity by doing them.
Preston, Strong, Curie, Codsworth, Deacon, Nick, Piper.
The only ones I think dislike it are...Cait and Macready, though, I might be forgetting someone.
Talking with Preston doesn't feel right at all. I mean his subtitles don't show at certain moments, after I got a certain ending he kept repeating the same exact lines over and over, and there would always be an awkward pause in between conversation. Shit it's a nightmare talking to him. Definitely don't want him as a companion.
We can roll with Danse if we want to,
We can leave the Brotherhood behind,
'Cause your Knights ain't Danse and if they ain't Danse,
Well, they're no Brothers of mine!
I say, we can hoard tech where we want to,
In a place where they will never find,
And we can act like we come from out of the Vault,
Leave the Prydwen far behind!
And we can hoard tech,
Or kill!
We can kill Synths when we want to,
The night is dangerous and so am I,
And we can wear Power Armor from our heads to our feet,
And surprise 'em with our victory cry! (Ad Victoriam!)
I say, we can kill Super Mutants'N'Raiders if we want to,
If we don't, nobody will,
And you can act real rude and totally removed, [Sarcastic]
And I can act like an imbecile! (Idiot Savant, HURR)
We can roll with Danse, we can roll with Danse,
Wasteland's out of control,
We can roll with Danse, we can roll with Danse,
They're shooting at Ghoul to Ghoul,
We can roll with Danse, we can roll with Danse,
Everybody look at the Deathclaw hand, (Trophy!)
We can roll with Danse, we can roll with Danse,
Everybody's taking the chance! (On Danse!)
Safety Danse!
Oh well, roll with Safety Danse!
Ah yes, roll with Safety Dance!
We can roll with Danse if we want to,
We've got all your tech and mine,
As long as we don't abuse it, never gonna lose it,
Everything'll work out right! [Hate Newspaper]

Quick Tip : You can get a larger variety of melee finishers if you go into 3rd person. Double tap RB near a human and your character will either toss them to the ground or perform a finisher.
Found a maze right next to fallon ' s department store. Anyone that has done it know if it's possible to unlock both rooms without blowing the other up?

She probably does that when you're picking locks.
Someone got lost in between games
I thought Cait looked familiar lol. This game is like a mass effect reunion. Jack's voice actor, Femsheps stunt double, Garrus's voice actor. It's beautiful ;3
Curse you game bugs!!!! First I can't recruit Tina without killing Bobby and now I can't continue the Silver Shroud mission....... Bethesda really sucks with game bugs I swear
i just finish doing that quest lol.
i dont know the hell they are though... i forgot
NOOO Kent Conlly :,((
It says for me to listen to the radio, but evertime I do I only get the silver shroud radio show.
Welp, finished the game. Railroad side. That was fucking heartbreaking.

I just killed Kendra and went back to goodneighbor, but the next part of the mission doesn't appear to be activating.

If none of the above work this wikia article could be helpful.

Most of them are at max now. The only ones who aren't are Danse, Curie, Deacon, and X6-88
With Danse and X6, I can just spam putting on power armor, but Cuire and Deacon need to do Minutemen quests.
Ahh thank you. Going to Hancock in the shroud outfit fixed it
