To be fair, I think it's pretty interesting how he goes from 'designation: X6, execute protocol: serve Institute' to 'Yo, sir, I thought you'd suck but you're actually super cool, like holy shit, we're team awesome, let's serve the Institute together forever ' if you max his approval.
Granted, you max his approval by being a dick, but the sudden show of actual emotions is perplexing, and the whole thing does offer something of a new perspective on Coursers...
Anyone know how to get the Minutemen ending that has an alliance with the Railroad and not destroying the BOS? So far on the quests lines.
In BOS: Tactical Thinking
In Institute: Mass Fusion
In Railroad: Underground Undercover
In Minutemen: None just settlement help quests.
And one more thing no matter what faction you choose, one companion will leave you? If you're an enemy of the BOS, Danse will try to kill you, if you're an enemy of the Railroad, Deacon will try to kill you, if you're an enemy of the Institute, X6-88 will try to kill you?
There might be a hint for a New Vegas Two coming - in that house with the people who don't age (can't remember their names) the main guy says another alien city has been rumoured to be in the Mojave desert when you finish his quest
Okay. but if you side against the Institute, does X6 try to kill you? I heard if he's with you and destroy the Institute, he doesn't care.
And one more thing, I herd than can be an alliance with the Railroad. Who do you do that?
Xbox took me about half an hour, so I'd imagine it's round the same. Im on BT fibre optic so its mainly if you're internet is good, it shouldn't take longer than 45mins
I'm supposed to be on an pro-Institute playthrough rn, but I still can't get out of the headspace of my last character... I'm past 'Reunions' and every time I hear the whirring sound of Vertibirds flying and crashing by me or spot a BoS patrol valiantly engaging supermutant suiciders, all I want to do is make a beeline for the Prydwen and throw myself at Maxson.
I guess I need to solidify this current character's identity and motivations better, somehow. Also, time for an avatar change.
You have to break out of this abusive relationship with Maxson. He demands all your respect but offers none in return, barks orders all the time and tries to dictate who you can and can't be friends with.

I've tried giving the Brotherhood a chance, but Maxson is such a genocidal maniac ... and seeing him downplay synths and others has had me fired up several times. Especially after Nick helped me find my kid, and Danse was revealed to be a synth (who I spared.)
I couldn't go with the Institute either, though. There are several thousand people above ground suffering on the day-to-day that need help. The FEV lab sold me on my betrayal of them.
X6 shouldnt try to kill you if you join the institute.
To join the railroad I think you need to do a few missions for them and then they officially let you join
B-but, I feel so directionless without him... literally - the BoS points and you go, or do, or shoot. Without them I have to think damn hard what would my character do at this point. Which I guess neatly sums up what kind of faction they are and what both their merits and downsides are.

One hint : even if you're pro-Institute, you can infiltrate other factions first. I was actually pro-BoS in my first play through, but seeing the Institute and love for the lost son drew my character over to their side.

I also like the Brotherhood, but seriously dislike Maxson. He has the makings of a vicious tyrant.
Railroad and Minutemen are my favorites. Minutemen align almost completely with my political views, but I love the cloak & dagger, guerrilla style of the Railroad.

I'm sticking with the Railroad.
Yeah, it's just - from a roleplaying perspective, at this point in the story my previous character was already a member of the BoS, as he had met Danse and jumped at the chance to once again join a military. So when he learned he had to head out into an irradiated dead zone, he knew he had access to advanced weaponry, power armor and a powerful companion in Danse.
This character doesn't know anything about the BoS beyond their 'mission of peace' announcement as the blimp flew by him, and now that he knows he needs to find a guy in a vast sea of radiation and deathclaws he's honestly quite lost. How is he supposed to do this, who can he ask for help? (also I'm ignoring the Concord power armor because I skipped Concord - screw you Preston and your needy little settlements, not this time!).
The problem is, I'm really tempted to make him seek out the BoS anyway, since they're obviously in possession of power armor, which dr Amari suggested I obtain. But I fear if I do that Maxson will enthrall me again :P
I really wish there was a more compelling roleplay reason to seek out the Railroad early so I could maybe form some bonds with them, since that would make me more skeptical towards Maxson. Then I could defect to the Institute because of Shaun. But right now I'm stumped.

i think that one of the best thing that has ever happened to me in this game just happened. i was doing a mission with deacon to go retrive something, and it gave me the option to go sneaking or balls to the wall to what ever we might find inside. i chose balls to the wall. so me like i normally do, i scouted from a long distance with my sniper and i saw a Behemoth, i took him out from long distance, he had very little health. and then when i got to where i was suppose to go basically all the enemies were dead or had lil health. well the first stage of enemies. lol idk if that was suppose to happen or it was just random like other random shit happens in this game at time, but im glad lol. thank you giant bastard.
I think my favorite encounter that happened in this game was, there is a small hotel near Salem (if I remember correctly)
Inside it was still being run by Robots, so I talked to the robot at the main desk then went upstairs and explored. Up stairs I was above the lobby and I hear the door open and the robot at the desk goes "Oh hello! How are you today!" And then there were gunshots and the desk robot died, followed by synth voices.
Honestly, that felt like a really good touch to add, it was legitimently creepy to be walking around upstairs to hear the poor desk robot being killed and then knowing you were no longer alone.

Even better cause he was in a show set in Boston.

Are you talking about the Cabot family? I don't think them mentioning that means much, but Obsidian devs did say they'd like to work on another one
Exactly
I feel so stupid because I thought screwdrivers gave you screws, and I was wondering why I couldn't upgrade my weapons!
Well, I got the minutemen ending, I think the only way to get them is if you dont join anyone else.
Okay. but if you side against the Institute, does X6 try to kill you? I heard if he's with you and destroy the Institute, he doesn't care.

Sell them in vault 81.
What do you get in return?
15 caps for each tool you sell, look for guy named Calvin, if he isn't there use this codes in the command console:
BTW you can sell other tools too.
Soooo, is anyone else in love with Curie? Because I sure am lol

Sorry, I'd rather be in one piece and not serve as shredded meat for supper. ._.
UNLESS I GOT A MINI-NUKE! >:D
Sooo this happened. I prefer Hancock with his head tbh. (my gifs) also follow my tumblr ---> falloutlands.tumblr.com
Dude... he almost looks like the headless horseman!
Does anyone here know how long it takes for Fallout 4 to install on PS4?
Haha yes! Just need to find him a stead! Probably a Brahmin is best we can do.

Have him ride a Yao Guai!

I mean does X6 try to kill you if you're banned from the Institute?
Yeah, ok. THAT would be awesome

Pssst, you can find an almost complete set of armor northeast of Sanctuary, south of the Robotics Waste Dump.
Hope that helps at least a little.
Fallout Noob here but I played skyrim a shitload! lol I love how the A I actually say my name
ahh the nostalgia
Gotta collect more Bobby pins

Didnt use mine and I used a pretty common name. Codsworth just calls me Madam or Misses or whatever.
